“Starlee is always nervous with new people and animals. I can tell Natalie cares a lot and did a great job making her feel comfortable. When I came to pick her up she was a lot more relaxed and happy. I will definitely be using her services again.”

“Loved letting Plumeria stay with Kushram! Went out of town for 4 days, and they took great care of her. They sent photos every few days for updates on care, and were very kind and reassuring. Will definitely be going back.”

“Angela is an awesome sitter. Very hospitable and attentive. She suggested a meet up to see if she was a proper fit for our dogs needs. I appreciated that immensely we would definitely book with Angela again.”

“I’m a very happy repeated client with Shirley. My pup Macy always has a great time with Shirley and she keeps my updated about Macy for the entirety of her stay at Shirley’s. When I pick up Macy, she’s always happy and healthy, so I feel really lucky to have a dog sitter I know I trust with her when I go on work trips. On top of excellent care, Shirley was very flexible when I needed to extend Macy’s stay last minute and even went out of her way to get Macy more of the right food for the extra time there. I’m a very happy dog parent. :)”

“Our dog Ziggy came back to us tired and happy. Brian was very communicative and a genuinely nice and friendly person who sent daily photos and updates of our dog. Brian appears to really love his animals. I would highly recommend Brian. When we visit family again in this area, I will definitely reach out again.”

“We had a great experience with Sarita! She took care of our dog at her place for a week. She was super reliable, communicative (lots of great pics, videos, and updates), and our pup absolutely loved her and her family. Overall, we were at complete ease knowing our dog was with Sarita and we highly recommend her for any of your dog care needs!”
“Had an absolutely amazing experience having Amanda and Michell watch our Lucy. We’d never left a pet with strangers before, and they couldn’t have made the process more comfortable. Amanda sent daily photos and a brief note on what they did that day. Lucy got to go on many long walks and hikes, and really became part of their family. At the end of her stay, we received a report card on Lucy’s behavior, which was the cutest thing ever. Without hesitation, I’d use Amanda and Michell again, and highly recommend them to anyone needing a pet sitter.”

“Maria and Kevan are wonderful!! They made our dog feel at home and I love all the photo updates I get from them. They’re very sweet and kind and I would definitely recommend them to any pup.”

“Vanson and his wife Ella were great. They sent me videos and pictures of our dogs having so much fun. Their home is so comfortable and dog friendly. I highly recommend them to take care of your fur babies!”

“Ross was awesome! From our initial meeting, he asked all the right questions about the care and personality of my pup. During my pups stay, Ross was great about sending daily photos and updates on how my little guy was managing with my absence. I could see from the photos that my pup and Ross's pup were getting along really well... This left me feeling very comfortable that my pup was enjoying his 'vacation'. Thanks so much Ross! We look forward to Baxter staying with you again soon!”

“First time using jeanette as a sitter and was not disappointed. I had to cancel and book a visit, both last minute and she was very accommodating. Will be booking her again next time I travel. Thank you jeanette and family!”

“Hanna is amazing and would highly recommend! We received regular text updates and photos/videos from her. I can tell my puppy had a great time and Hanna genuinely loves dogs plus she is very trustworthy - will definitely use her boarding services again!”

“Jennifer and her family were extremely kind and treated my dog Rufus like their own. Rufus was able to play freely in their sizable backyard, and even made a few new friends. I would trust leaving my dog(s) with Jennifer and her family anytime in the future”

“Christine was absolutely wonderful and accommodating my last minute boarding request! She was super attentive and made sure to communicate with me throughout Zosie’s entire stay. My pup had the best time and I can tell she was very well loved and taken care of while I was away. I will definitely reach out to Christine again for any future stays ❤️”

“Kolten and Julia were responsive and took excellent care of Dexter. This was our first time using Rover and they made sure it was an excellent one. The sent many pictures of Dexter during his stay. They made the experience very simple which helped us from worrying.”

I also do two dog pack walks after the park with the dogs that cannot go to the due to a variety of issues including aggression and/or anxiety. Whenever there is an issue I am the go to for these dogs who love me with all their heart and I in return. I have a three bedroom house with a large backyard with tall wooden fences and a chain link fence to access it. Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Port Costa
Malia was awesome! Friendly, energetic and loving. It was obvious my Arlo had a great time during his vacay w/ Malia and her adorable 5yr old (?) little guy. Malia’s pick up & drop off was seamless. My fairly energetic pup Got his fill of belly rubs, playtime and upon his return would continue to run to Malia , flipping on his back as if to say “Come on, one more bellyrub”. Thank you Malia for the pics and for taking great care of our Arlo!

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
