About: I am a loving and friendly dog sitter! I grew up with two dogs, a poodle and a Chihuahua. My family currently has a bull terrier that I love very much. I also take care of my best friend's dog when she is out of town. I love dogs and going on walks so this combination is perfect for me. I am currently a nanny to one of nephews as needed but I am free every day during the summer to take care of your furry babies. I make sure I read their cues of needing water/food, when they need to pee/poop, when they're overstimulated, stressed, or happy. I also make sure to pet them and show them love by scratching them, patting them, and rubbing them. I also follow any schedule that is given to me to make sure they stick to their normal routine.

About: I have had pets all my life and have a special way with many animals. From tiring out restless pups through play so they can settle in their doghouses, to gaining the trust of the sassiest cats, my patience and kindness towards all animals has gained me the favor of friends and family to care for their pets. I am currently a full time student, so my availability throughout the week can vary. Despite this I find myself to have my afternoons and evenings mostly free. Additionally, my weekends will be free most weeks. In a cliients home, I would do my best to respect the environment and the pets space. Not surprising the pet or adjusting things from their usual place, like food or water bowls, to show I am not here to change pet routines but just to help them along. Additionally, gaining trust on walks and setting firm boundaries with the pet to keep myself and the pet safe when out and about.

About: I grew up in a large family of animal lovers, we've always had more pets than grandchildren! I've taken care of my own and other family and friend's pets, walking, bathing, and house sitting puppies to senior dogs. My main jobs require me to travel to my clients, so I'm consistently driving through East Bay. Pretty convenient for caring for your darlings ! I’d love to start and end my work days with them. I care for every pet as family and stick to any routines and preferences we discuss. I’ll always make sure pets are fed and walked regularly and tire them out with play and activities before they end their day. I can also give medications if needed. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I want your pets to feel comfortable by keeping to their normal routine. I also like to clean and tidy up anything I use during stays, and send regular photo and message updates so owners feel reassured while they’re away. My goal is to make pets feel happy, safe, and well cared for while keeping their owners informed and confident in the care their pet is receiving.

About: My name is Mandisa, I am a caring and compassionate Bay Area kinfolk. My dog recently transitioned after 14 years of lovely Boxer dog life. I decided this would be a great way to help others who might find themselves having a hard time finding a responsible person to love and care for their pets when they have the need to travel for work or for relaxation. I am available to board, drop in, walk dogs, take pups to the vet, or house sit depending on the needs of the client. I am very interested in helping urban farmers like myself. Thank you for taking a moment to view my profile. I hope I am able to meet you and your pet(s)! Diversity Statement: May all beings be free from suffering and injustice. I will always work hard to be inclusive, mindful, and aware of the needs of those families I encounter and their pets. I myself identify as and am happy to welcome QTBIPOC families and all others. Many blessings! MW I am an Ethnic Studies professor transitionionng in to life insurance. I work from home and am available for at least two 30-minute dog walks per day. I am looking forward to providing great care for your beloved pet. I always have lengthy conversations with pet owners including a site visit with the pet and parents. This helps to ensure that everyone is comfortable and the client/pet can see that my yard is fenced in the back and my home is ready for day visits. I am not doing much boarding these days because my Mom has a cat. Willing to consider it.

Cyndi was such a big help when my husband and I got a new puppy. She came over twice a week for two weeks to help us give him lunch and provide some snuggles and play time. Cyndi does a great job of updating you with photos and a summary of the time she spent with our pets. She also provides a lot of great information and feedback if you have questions about a veterinarian or food products/toys. Overall, she did a lovely job and we will definitely be using her for future puppy needs?

About: 8+ years of hands-on pet care experience. From a young age, I’ve looked after dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments As an athlete and boxer, I naturally enjoy staying active What sets me apart is my calm, patient personality and genuine ability to connect with both pets and owners. I take time to learn each animal’s individual needs, routines Whether it’s exercise, medication reminders, feeding, playtime , and comfort levels so they feel safe and happy. SPECIAL SKILLS -I’m also equipped with a truck for safe transportation to vet appointments, parks, in addition to services I offer professional baths & grooming at local pet stores. Fully comfortable with multi-pet households and all types of animals. I treat every pet with the same care I give my own. Neighbors, friends, and family have consistently trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and provide companionship for their pets. I’m very flexible with my schedule and structure my days around pet care. I typically do morning walks and drop-ins before 9am, midday check-ins, and evening visits after 5pm. On weekends I’m wide open for overnights or longer sitting. Pet care is my priority — I plan my routine so your dog always gets consistent, quality time without feeling rushed In my home, pets get constant supervision, structured playtime, potty breaks, and meals on their normal schedule. I’m experienced with crate training if needed and always keep a calm, secure environment. In your home I follow your exact instructions for feeding, walks, and any medication. Merlette helped me out at the last minute and did a wonderful job! She came a day before I left and met the three cats, then she watched and took notes as I did the feeding routine. Every day of the job I received a text from her, with photos. It made for a relaxing time away for me. I would definitely call her again. Thank you Merlette!!

FAQs for Drop-In Visits - Rodeo

Frequently asked questions about Rover

As of June 2026, there are 136 sitters on Rover offering Cat Sitting across Rodeo. Enter your ZIP code to see which available sitters are closest to your home.

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.

If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Yes, you can find sitters who have experience administering medication or managing dietary requirements. You can also find pet sitters who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and request a Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.

If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
