About: I have a Bachelor of Science in Zoology, experienced in animal husbandry, and experience as a veterinary assistant. Since I was little, I have always loved caring for animals of varying species. My time as a veterinary assistant helped me to gain experience in handling large and small dogs, and cats, giving medication, walking dogs, calming and soothing cats and much more. While going to school for my Zoology degree, my neighbors, friends and co-workers would often rely on me to watch their pets. My responsibilities included: checking in multiple times a day, staying at the owners house, boarding dogs, feeding on a schedule, administering medication, daily walks, and the occasional bath and/or nail trim. I am currently a Barre 3 instructor part time and a full time stay at home artist. My schedule is flexible and am able to care for your pets during various times of the day. In my home, the pets are extremely well taken care of. They are given ample amount of time outside to release their energy as well as lots of time for cuddling. My home is full of calm and loving energy where the animals are free to relax. While caring for your pets in your home, I believe in keeping them as close to their normal routine as possible. I enjoy letting the animals adjust to me slowly so I am able to gain their trust and confidence.
“Katelyn really was taken with the boys and they with her. She played with them and cuddled, then sent pictures every day. I never felt a moments worry, I had complete confidence in Katelyn and I wasn’t disappointed. Would re-book with her in a heartbeat!”

About: Fortunately, I was born into an animal loving family so I was blessed to have and care for animals of all kinds. Includes but not limited too: hermit crabs, gerbils, fish and more. Since birth I’ve been fascinated about learning how to care for all animals especially mammals/dogs. I truly believe that dogs are a humans best friend and I’ve been potty training, house training, walk training and more since having my first fur baby Tyra (full blooded German Sheppard) at the age of 12 who just passed this last year. I’ve been rescuing animals since I can remember and I’ve been volunteering at shelters and in the community since middle school. Pets are truly my passion & I believe in caring for those who are sometimes unable to care for themselves. If God grants me the opportunity, I would be more than honored and grateful to care for your fur baby as well. Thank you for your time & consideration. Fortunately, I was blessed with a work from home job so I can give most of my time, attention & affection to the fur babies I need. With my own fur baby and when I baby sit others we stick to our schedule and routine throughout the day so they can be physically enriched and mentally stimulated; such as but not limited too 4-6 times of walking, a kiddie pool on hotter days, fruit and or peanut butter treats, new toys and more depending on the specific needs of your fur babies. Thank you for your time & consideration. Regardless of the environment pets are my passion and I will treat your fur babies like my own. Depending on the specific needs I’ll be more than happy to provide extra play time, extra treats or toys depending on trainings such as potty training or walk training so your pup no longer pulls you while you walk. I also don’t mind providing bath time, medications or even taking your pup to the vet or their favorite park for a pup play date. Lastly, I will be sure to provide hourly and or daily checkups so you can relax, unwind and have peace of mind knowing your fur baby is safe, happy and is in blessed and gentle hands. Thank you for your time & consideration.

“As first-time Rover users, we were really impressed by Sarah! She provided exceptional care for our two cats with a high level of attention detail. While our cats are usually extremely introverted and shy around strangers, she definitely gained their trust and they warmed up to her very quickly. Her check-in notes were incredibly descriptive, and she took the time to play with our cats during each visit to make sure they got attention and affection. She even handled an unexpected mess when it cropped up. Quite honestly, she went above and beyond our expectations. We would definitely trust her to take care of our cats again as well as strongly recommend her for anyone with anxious cats.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Overland
Maddy did a great job with Fritz! I was so thankful that she kept coming back when we had an issue with a jammed lock on the first day and Fritz was obviously so happy to see her. Fritz’s new medications are a lot for him to get used to, so I’m so glad to have found someone who could give them to him.

Emma did a great job with my cats! Her rover cards always had pictures and video along with thorough updates so I didn’t have worry at all while I was away. It was clear my cats loved her and felt very comfortable around her. She also had no problem feeding my exotic pets and even watered some of my thirstier plants. She was always quick to get back to me will definitely book again!

Alex did beyond an amazing job and I could not recommend enough! My Huskey and Cat loved all the attention and I didn't need to worry about them as he made sure they had everything they needed! 12/10 if you're needing someone to watch your pets while on vacation!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Overland. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
