I’ve never lived without multiple pets in my household and I’ve never wanted to live without pets in my house. I have found some of my most rewarding professional endeavors to be the ones where I was trusted with the care of animals. I’ve worked on and off Rover a few times, in addition to previously working and volunteering in shelter environments, managing a large doggie daycare floor, and operating my own in home grooming business. I am comfortable with multiple dog sizes and temperaments and will work with you to coordinate your pets specific needs to be part of their care in the least stressful way possible. I’m experienced in administering medications for dogs and cats, as well as monitoring for changes in behavior or body movement that may indicate underlying concerns. I genuinely enjoy the energy shared with others and their pets and I believe that shows through in my communications as well as my direct time with your pets.

I care for pets with patience. Our animals all are individual just as we are and each one needs their own individualized approach. I like to know as much about your pet as possible to help me before arriving. Upon arrival I am calm and approachable, waiting for the pet to initiate or tell me how to approach (with caution, excitedly, with a toy/leash etc). Once me and a pet are friends and I’m on my return visits you can often catch me singing and being silly, being with animals is my joy and I get a little goofy with them. If they’re amenable of course. I also know how to handle a scared, defensive or anxious animal and treat them with the utmost care and patience in whatever they need to get the goal accomplished.

big thanks to Shilah for looking after our 3 kitties even with a bit of a chaotic schedule, they tailored the visits to suite what we needed. everyone was well looked after, even when they decided to make a mess overnight. always good knowing you can relax on vacation with your pets in good hands :)

Pet care is what I do! I don’t work any other jobs and my lifestyle is incredibly flexible to accommodate a range of times and booking needs.

- I like to know as much about a dog as possible, no information is irrelevant when dealing with someone else’s pet. I think it’s important to treat each dog exactly as it prefers to be treated so if they need a heart shaped treat and belly rubs at 3pm every day, or if they want to be left largely alone except food and potty. I can accommodate happily.
