Hello! I created this profile as an effort to "pay it forward" for others who find themselves in a bind with dog sitters. I LOVE animals and enjoy being around them. I have always had pets (dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, fish, toads, and chickens). ***I ONLY WATCH TINY/TOY/SMALL, FRIENDLY DOGS!!!!) If your dog is more than a few pounds or too tall/big, they cannot be in my home.*** I work from home and nearby at my private practice (mental health counseling) a few days a week, teach a few yoga classes, and have flexible hours; I can check on your pet at lunch if necessary. There are two parks on my street and my yard is fully fenced. My dog is a sweet dog who would love a play mate. I have had dogs and pets all my life and loved a border collie until her passing. She had serious seizures for 5 years so I am comfortable caring for your special needs dog. I can administer medicine such as eye drops and pills as needed. I have 3 steps from my deck to the yard but have frequently carried pets up and down them during their stay! I have a newly remodeled house so let's meet and greet and talk about your needs! I do have allergies and a dog so I prefer to meet your baby first as well as a 24 hour notice so that I can take something to avoid the itch from some pets! DROP IN VISITS: I am more than happy to grab your mail and packages, take your trash to the curb on pickup day, water indoor plants, and feed your fish or other animals. I empty the trash and sweep up any kitty litter before you return! I came to DogVacay/Rover when I was in a serious bind with my own two dogs 24 hours before my family vacation. I am happy to be a dog sitter to help others in need of a safe, caring home away from home. A few important things to note: --YOUR DOG MUST BE FULLY HOUSE TRAINED or comfortable wearing a diaper or belly band!!! I have a newly remodeled house and furniture and if your dog has frequent "accidents", you will be asked to pay a clean-up fee. Please provide puppy pads, belly bands, or diapers as necessary. --Please be sure to create a separate profile for EVERY pet. --Drop off and pick up times are between 8a-10p ONLY. --I do offer HUGE discounts for drop-in visits of multiple cats. Please ask! --Please be honest about your pet. I can handle most issues, but would like to know upfront if your dog can be aggressive, is not fully house trained, or has "accidents".

Karen did a PHENOMENAL job caring for my cat. They made me feel comfortable leaving the care of my little guy in their hands. They were incredibly warm, responsive, and caring. I would HIGHLY recommend Karen to anyone looking for a drop-in sitter.

Programa
I work from home most days and if I need to go to the office it is 10 minutes away and I come home midday to offer a break.

I have a fully fenced yard (dogs have their own fenced in area) and a very friendly dog so please know that your pet is safe at all times. I do not take dogs on walks out of my yard just in case a neighborhood dog isn't friendly.

I generally let the dogs out first thing in the morning and then feed breakfast followed by another potty break. There are plenty of toys here and they get lots of outside time to play.
