“Sarah went above and beyond and notified me of a leak in my kitchen when she came to walk my dog. Without her prompt attention the water would’ve continued flowing for several more hours!”

“Haley was great with my dog! She asked great questions to get to know her beforehand and was very knowledgeable about bigger dogs. I will definitely have her come back!”

About: I have 6 years of experience caring for cats and 3 years with dogs. I trained my dog when he was a puppy, rescued stray cats and helped a lost dog find a new home. Also introduce my second cat who is a strayed cat to my first cat. I’m currently in my gap year so I have lots of time to caring your cat or dogs (also puppy!) Pet care fits into my daily routine as I enjoy spending time training, feeding, and playing with them. Boarding pets will have their own bedroom, and share the living room with/without resident cats depending on how they get along. I have a safe environment at home. There’s no child in home. Additionally, I have experience with pet training and caring for both rescueds and domestic pets. I ensure a loving and secure atmosphere for your furry companions.
About: What sets me apart is my patience, flexibility, and genuine love for animals. I understand that pets, like people, need time to warm up, so I always work on their schedule — not mine. As a mom of two students high school and college, caring for pets fills my heart and time with purpose. I’m dependable, respectful of your home, and willing to go the extra mile to make sure every pet feels safe, loved, and understood. This is my full-time occupation, I don’t mind driving or going the extra mile to make sure your home and pets are cared for like family I care for pets by following their normal routines as closely as possible. Whether in my home or yours, I provide a calm, loving environment where pets feel comfortable and secure. I take time to earn their trust, give them space when needed, and show affection when they’re ready. I handle feeding, walks, playtime, and any special instructions with care and attention to detail—just as I would for my own pets. My goal is to keep them happy, healthy, and stress-free while you’re away.

About: Hello, I'm Angela and I have been a dog and animal lover my whole life. I have watched dogs for family and neighbors for many years. My background is in psychology and I've definitely used that knowledge in understanding my own dogs and those I take care of. I'm currently undergoing a career change, so I have plenty of time on both weekdays and weekends to watch and play with your furry family members. I try to keep my availability as up-to-date as possible within the limited settings Rover has. I am adaptable to any routine that your pet is used to, such as feeding times and walks. I am familiar with rescues and the variability in their behavior and comfort with new people.
“Quia is excellent in how she handled Snacks, a 95 lb Akita with a lot of energy. She took charge right away and calmed him down. A true professional. Thank you so much, you are the BEST! Andrea McCartney (MsAMac)”

About: I have 4 cats of my own, but I've taken care of animals my entire life! We had pets ranging from cats, dogs, fish, birds, bunnies, to chickens! I have often dog/house sit for a family friend and their two dogs, as well as her sister's other two dogs, and my own sister's 4 pets when they are out of town! I am used to needy and affectionate animals, but also know how to work well with more shy animals. I'd love to meet your fur baby and help your family out! The easiest would be a stop in and do checks, but I am also able to stay at your home if need be! I work Tuesday-Thursday 10 am-6 pm, Friday 10 am- 3 pm, and every other Saturday 10 am -3 pm. Sunday and Monday are totally free!! The easiest routine would be a stop in and do checks, but I am also able to stay at your home if need be! I work Tuesday-Thursday 10 am-6 pm and Friday/Saturday 10 am -3 pm. Sunday and Monday are totally free! I will take every house rule into consideration when caring for not only your pet, but your home! I follow very specific feeding and care instructions with the few families currently help, as well as with my own cats, so I am used to a specific routine! I love to make sure your fur babies are as comfortable without you as they can be, like you were never gone!
About: Fortunately, I was born into an animal loving family so I was blessed to have and care for animals of all kinds. Includes but not limited too: hermit crabs, gerbils, fish and more. Since birth I’ve been fascinated about learning how to care for all animals especially mammals/dogs. I truly believe that dogs are a humans best friend and I’ve been potty training, house training, walk training and more since having my first fur baby Tyra (full blooded German Sheppard) at the age of 12 who just passed this last year. I’ve been rescuing animals since I can remember and I’ve been volunteering at shelters and in the community since middle school. Pets are truly my passion & I believe in caring for those who are sometimes unable to care for themselves. If God grants me the opportunity, I would be more than honored and grateful to care for your fur baby as well. Thank you for your time & consideration. Fortunately, I was blessed with a work from home job so I can give most of my time, attention & affection to the fur babies I need. With my own fur baby and when I baby sit others we stick to our schedule and routine throughout the day so they can be physically enriched and mentally stimulated; such as but not limited too 4-6 times of walking, a kiddie pool on hotter days, fruit and or peanut butter treats, new toys and more depending on the specific needs of your fur babies. Thank you for your time & consideration. Regardless of the environment pets are my passion and I will treat your fur babies like my own. Depending on the specific needs I’ll be more than happy to provide extra play time, extra treats or toys depending on trainings such as potty training or walk training so your pup no longer pulls you while you walk. I also don’t mind providing bath time, medications or even taking your pup to the vet or their favorite park for a pup play date. Lastly, I will be sure to provide hourly and or daily checkups so you can relax, unwind and have peace of mind knowing your fur baby is safe, happy and is in blessed and gentle hands. Thank you for your time & consideration.
About: I have always loved dogs, and I had a lot of experience helping with dogs that belonged to my other family members or friends growing up. I have added dogs to the family as an adult and enjoy taking them on walks, playing with them, and caring for them. I have a bichon-freise and shitzu (teddybear mix) dog as part of our family currently. I have two daughters who adore dogs. I am just now beginning this journey on Rover though I have lots of experience working with dogs and caring for others' pups. I am currently working part time from home, so I have time to play and care for your pup. I can take your dog out first thing in the morning, a couple of times during the day, and before bedtime. I walk my own dog three to four times daily and sometimes take him to one of the two fenced in pet parks in my apartment building. Your dog can join us for whatever seems appropriate to you.

About: Hi I’m Emma! I work in natural resources/conservation, so naturally I love being outdoors. Being active is a stress reliever for me. I grew up with cats, but have always wanted a dog. My roommate of 3 years has a black lab named Rosy who I often take care of. I’m comfortable with big and small dogs. I’m willing to house sit, do walk-in’s, and dog walks. I’m available some daytime and evening hours and most weekends. I will be sure to leave your home how you left it. I’m excited to discover new parks with your dog and get in some major cuddle time with your cat. And expect lots of pictures. I’m available some day or weeknight times and most weekends. I work part-time so I have more flexibility than most. I also love going on walks. I always like to do a meet and greet with the pet before an overnight stay or multi day sitting. It allows me to get to know your pet, for you and your pet to get comfortable with me, and for any important information to get passed along.

I normally work from home, but had to travel for almost two weeks recently. My dog is my coworker and I was so worried how she would do all day without me there when my family was at work and school during the day. Thank goodness for Monica! It was so wonderful that she was able to come walk my dog at noon every day while I was away. Monica is so sweet and extremely reliable!!! She sent pictures every day of their adventures on their walks which made me smile when I was able to finally glance at my phone for that day. She also gave our cat lots of snuggles too while she was there! I will definitely reach out to her if I need to go out of town for work again and will highly recommend Monica to anyone who needs help with their pets in the future. Thank you Monica!!!! 🐾🐾🐕🐈⬛🐾🐾

Booked a series of walks from Merrell for our rescue pit mix and rescue greyhound, and they loved every day! Came home happy and ready to rest each time. Merrell was easy to work with and very communicative on the app, I will look forward to booking again any time we need a helping hand with dog walks!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
