“Jill has been dropping by twice a week for over a month now to let my dog Archie out and play with him while I am at work. Jill has been incredibly reliable and she is great at communicating. She sends photos from each visit and I can tell Archie is getting love and fun while I’m away. Archie loves to swim and Jill has been up for drying him off before her visit is over. I would confidently recommend Jill for pet care help.”

About: I've had dogs almost my entire life & a cat in-between dogs. At one point, I had a German Shepherd, Dutch Shepherd, Lab, and cattle dog mix at one time and, yes, I walked them all at the same time. I’ve been through the gauntlet with my pets through the years including arthritis, incontinence, hip dysplasia, food allergies, deafness, blindness, force feeding with a tube at one point, etc. My German Shepherd was an escape artist. My Dutchie is a ball fiend. My cattle dog loves to get into the nastiest stuff she can find. My lab had separation anxiety. You name it, I can deal with it. At this point, you're probably wondering why I'm telling you about my dogs' problems, right? Here's why - I want you to know that, whatever your dog needs, special or not, you can trust me to handle it and take care of your baby(ies). Now about me personally - I’m an entrepreneur who works from home and has a flexible work schedule. I love taking long walks and my favorite trail is the Des Moines Creek Trail. If your dog needs a good 4 mile walk, during the week (& some weekends in the summer), I’m your girl. But if they just need a good 30 min walk around the neighborhood, that’s me too. If you want an experienced dog person to care for or walk your baby, send me a message and let’s talk. At this time, I’m only offering dog walking, but am considering daytime care or overnight care in the future. I’m an entrepreneur who works from home and has a flexible work schedule. I am reliably available between 8 AM and 4 PM Monday through Friday. I have a large, fully fenced yard, set back from the street. I have two dogs - one middle aged and one senior. As for a client's home, you tell me where the dog is and where his/her stuff is and that's where I go. I don't pry in your house just as I wouldn't want someone prying in my house. My character flaw is that I'm honest and have integrity to the degree of fault.
17. Melissa T.
About: Hello and welcome! I am a huge animal lover - I have grown up with pets in the house since I was a baby. I've taken care of many family and friends’ dogs (and cats!) since I was about 12. They have relied on me to walk, play with, feed, and bathe their pets. I have administered medicine and taken care of pups young and old, blind and perfectly healthy. I work from home full-time so I am able to provide all the cuddles, playtime, and attention that your cat or pup needs! I usually take my pup out on walks at least 3x a day, so you can rest assured that your pup will get plenty of fresh air and exercise. In my home, I have fur babies of my own (3 year old Pug/Pomeranian mix and a 1 year old Siamese) that would love to make your pet feel right at home. I live with my husband, sister, and brother in law (all of whom are also on Rover), and there is usually always at least one person home. Each visit or day you can expect at least one update with photos and an occasional video. More updates can be provided upon request!
18. Tim B.
“Tim has grown up around animals, I've turned toward him for behavior from my new kittens, and still do as they've grown over the year. Along with that is asking him about dog behavior that I've seen walking my friends dog, and in his own puppy. He's knowledgeable, and from what I've seen all animals take a quick liking to him, even my anxious kitty who hides from anyone but me.”
19. Savonne C.
“Savonne was a fantastic sitter for my dog. She followed instructions perfectly. She was very communicative, and also easy going. My Haru was a very happy girl when I came back to her. I would request again!”
20. Allison M.
“I'm her boyfriend and she really does care for pets, she doesn't understand why people like running animals over it's messed up, she always tells me how much she always wanted a big farm for animals to take care of all of them.”
