“Mary sent detailed notes and paid attention to my cats habits while we were away. I loved how she noticed my cat wasn’t pooping enough and found an accident and cleaned it up. Above and beyond since my cat doesn’t usually do that but was mad we left. Not Mary’s fault as she made friends with our old cranky cat. ?”

“Brooklin is amazing! She’s flexible, considerate, and will really communicate with you. She isn’t afraid to clean up after pets and will take good care of your babies!”
“Savonne was a fantastic sitter for my dog. She followed instructions perfectly. She was very communicative, and also easy going. My Haru was a very happy girl when I came back to her. I would request again!”
“Alex took incredible care of my three cats while I was away! She was attentive, communicative, and genuinely caring throughout the entire stay. Exactly what you want when leaving your fur babies with someone new. She kept me updated and I could tell she treated them like her own. Highly recommend Alex to anyone looking for a trustworthy, loving pet sitter!”

“Brooke was really great with our standard labradoodle. He is a fairly large dog and handled him very well. She always gave us updates, photos, and even dropped a few videos of him. I will definitely book her again.”

“Very easy to talk to and communicative. Jisu did an excellent job updating us throughout the week of dogsitting. Sent lots of photos too! She was gentle with our dogs and took time to make sure my anxious dog ate her food.”

“Kimee is phenomenal! She was extremely patient with our puppy and even trained her to not jump up much! She has a great temperament and is clearly knowledgeable when it comes to ways to make an obedient puppy. She treated our home and animals with respect and we will definitely contact her in the future :)”

“When I arrived home my pups were happy and not stressed. I got updates and responses when needed and the photos recalled calmed my nerves while I was away. April is one you can trust with your pets.”

About: I have had many different animals over my lifetime. I have puppy sat for many of my friends and family. I have helped train animals as well. I work from home so I am able to stop to take your little one on a walk or snuggles. My week is very flexible. I’ve owned and cared for animals for many years and truly enjoy being around them. Over time, I’ve learned how important patience, attention, and affection are when it comes to keeping pets happy and comfortable. Whether it’s going for walks, playtime, or simply providing companionship, I treat every animal with the same care I would give my own. I would love the opportunity to look after your pet and make sure they feel safe, loved, and well cared for while you’re away.
About: I’ve loved and cared for animals for most of my life. I had a dog in Colombia who was part of my family for 15 wonderful years, and now I have two cats here in the United States. Caring for pets has taught me patience, responsibility, and how important it is to make animals feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I truly enjoy spending time with pets and treating them like family. I’m currently a stay-at-home mom, which gives me a flexible schedule and plenty of time to care for pets throughout the day. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, and pet sitting, and I always make sure pets receive attention, playtime, and loving care. I provide a calm, clean, and safe environment for pets and always make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. I understand how important routines, patience, and supervision are, and I treat every pet with the same love and attention I give my own cats.
“Jordan really saved us when our sitter bailed last minute. He checked on our dog and played with him before we could get home. He was super communicative and creative with wearing our dog out.”

“I had to take a last minute trip, and Laura saved me! She did a great job, went above and beyond, and I’m very lucky to have been able to book with her. Thanks so much Laura!”

About: I’ve raised Guide Dog puppies both here and in Las Vegas. Raising a Guide Dog puppy is a 24 hour job with daily training/teaching regiments. We teach them basic commands and expose them to the public and public places. It was great fun and very rewarding. I’m am retired. So I have plenty of time to give to your fur baby. As well as, all the attention he or she needs. In a clients home, the safety of the pet comes first. If that means there is a fenced yard or they need to be taken out on a leash every hour then that is what will get done.
“Shelli was fantastic! We booked her kind of last minute and our regular rover wasn't available. She was wonderful with our pup and he was very well taken care of by her. We will definitely use her again.”

“We had a last minute trip come up and Brendan was available on short notice to stop in a few times. He’s punctual and follows all instructions. Most importantly, he’s wonderful with our cats and birds!”

“Morgan did a great job filling in last minute for us! We will definitely consider her again for future dates. She was communicative and thorough throughout her time here. Kaya definitely appreciated the company.”

Cat parents share their Rover experiences - Orillia
Brooke did a wonderful job taking care of our three kitties while we were on our trip. She sent pictures of them every day and left us notes with all of the things she did for them during her drop-ins. She was so sweet and caring and our kitties grew very fond of her. If we take another trip in the future, I will be sure to hire her again, the peace of mind that she allowed us to have while being away was priceless ❤️

Kaitlyn did a great job checking on our kitties while my husband and I were out of town. She has excellent communication skills and made sure to keep us updated throughout each visit. One of our cats is somewhat standoffish, so it's important to us that any visitors or sitters respect his personal space, which is exactly what Kaitlyn did. We look forward to re-booking with Kaitlyn for our upcoming travels. Thank you, Kaitlyn!

This is my second time using Rover’s pet‑sitting services, and both times I chose Stephanie. She takes such wonderful care of Wilson. From the photos and updates she sends, I can tell Wilson feels comfortable, happy, and well‑loved while I’m away. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing she’s in such good hands. I’ll definitely continue booking with her!

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Orillia. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
