“We’re so glad to have found Jessica! She is attentive, thorough, communicative, and super caring to our cat and dog. She writes detailed notes and send lots of pet photos in every visit, making our time away from home a breeze. Highly recommend!”

“I recently moved to the area & Natalie has been a lifesaver when I can’t be there for my furbabies! Less than a year ago, I adopted a little dog from an abuse situation who now has severe separation anxiety, but warmed up to Natalie instantly :) I also have a very skittish cat & a bunny & Natalie has taken great care of my little gang when I’ve needed her help. I would definitely recommend her as a dog walker & for drop in visits (:”

“Kaelyn took care of our furballs while we were on vacation. Recommended by our usual sitter, she gave us the comfort to not worry about them while we were gone. Will book again for sure!”

“Rebecca did an amazing job for us while we were on vacation. Our pets who are normally skittish around new people seemed to adapt and warm-up to Rebecca instantly. We would definitely recommend her for any pet sitting job and we will be using her in the future. Thanks so much for treating our pets like family.”

“Aidan took great care of my cats, and I am more than pleased with the care and attention they gave them. They almost seemed disappointed that I came home! I would highly recommend Aidan to any pet owner.”

About: I've basically been taking care of dogs all my life! I can't even count how many I've had in my life. More recently, I've taken on fostering, accommodating dogs with health issues, which I've been doing for ten years or so. I have two frenchies I take care of at home, one that's basically a large, lazy cat, and another that's small and rambunctious. I also walk and dogsit twice a week for a friend of mine who doesn't have the ability to do so frequently. I give them attention when they're needy, dry them off after a walk if it's raining, or snuggle up with them if they're feeling a little more cuddly.
“Amber was so lovely to work with and took great care of our boy ❤️ she was very attentive to his care, paid attention to his energy levels and the activities, and made sure all his needs were met, even exceeded.”

“April was so attentive and responsive to schedule with and while watching our cats. She took such good care of them and kept us informed of any health issue. I can tell our cats really like her and feel safe with her by the way they responded too, especially Boo who is normally extremely shy with new people. Thank you April! We will definitely request you next time!”

About: Hi there! I’m a passionate dog owner and lover who knows firsthand just how much your pup means to you, because mine mean everything to me. With my own dog at home, I understand the importance of trust, routine, and genuinely connecting with every dog I care for. I’m active, outdoorsy, and especially great with high-energy dogs who need more than just a quick potty break. Whether it’s a brisk walk through the neighborhood or a drop-in visit to break up their day, I bring the same enthusiasm and attentiveness every single time. I’m a details person. Every dog is different, and I truly mean it when I say no instruction is too small. Have a pup with food allergies, a specific leash routine, or certain triggers I should know about? Tell me everything. The more I know about your dog’s quirks, preferences, and needs, the better I can care for them exactly the way you would. Here’s what you can count on from me: • Reliability - I show up when I say I will, every time • Attentiveness - I pay close attention to each dog’s mood, behavior, and individual needs • Communication - Expect updates and photos so you always know your pup is happy and thriving • Detail-oriented care - Your instructions won’t just be noted, they’ll be followed to the letter • A dog-first mindset - Your dog’s comfort and safety are always my top priority I’d love to meet your furry family member! Feel free to reach out to schedule a meet-and-greet. I always recommend one before our first booking so your dog and I can get acquainted on their terms. I work from home full time, which means I have a flexible schedule and can be fully present for your pet’s care. I prefer at least a week’s notice before booking to make sure I can give your pup the attention they deserve. My attention to detail means every instruction you give me will be followed carefully and consistently. Before any booking, I encourage you to share any triggers, fears, or allergies your dog may have, no detail is too small. Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my first priority, and I treat every home and every pup with the same respect and care I’d want for my own dogs.
“Jenna was amazing!! I was very impressed with our initial meet and greet. She took lots of notes and asked lots of questions. She was on time and updated me every visit and sent lots of pictures! My dog loved her visits. Will definitely use her again!!”

About: I really believe the world is better with animals, and they deserve nothing but love—because that’s all they have to give us. I know every dog requires different treatment and attention, and every animal is unique. My husband Marcus and I are hardworking, kind, and huge animal lovers with lots of love to give. We both enjoy being outdoors and are happy to stop by your house to give your pet some food, scratchies, and snuggles—or take them out for fresh air, whether that’s throwing a ball or taking your older little guy on a slow, senior-friendly stroll. I grew up surrounded by animals and animal lovers. When I was younger, I trained my German Shepherd puppy to master all her tricks, and when she got older and became incontinent due to her elderly age, I provided hands-on care—changing her diapers, cleaning up after her, and helping her with stairs and jumps she couldn’t manage anymore. It was heartbreaking, but she taught me that we have to enjoy every moment with our babies while we can. I’m typically the go-to person for friends and family when they need someone to look after their animals while they’re away— I think it’s because they know I'll be equally obsessed and caring with their pet as they are. I take pride in providing loving, responsible care that feels just like home. I am a newly retired professional dancer. My days as of now are wide open as I make this transition into the next phase of my life! Unfortunately, my apartment isn’t suitable for overnight stays, so I’m currently offering only day visits and walks. When I go to a client's house, I make sure doors, windows, and gates are closed and watch out for things pets might get into—like plants, small objects, or foods that aren’t good for them. Hazardous stuff like cleaning products or meds are kept out of reach. I’ll never let a dog off-leash unless it’s in a securely fenced area because I understand how one wrong move can lead to a lost or hurt animal.
About: [Preferred name: Keith , He/They] I’ve helped take care of my family dogs since age 10, most being larger dog breeds (german shepherd, huskies, pitbull). From puppy chaos, to older dog care I’ve seen it all. Willing to accommodate for whatever needs- All dogs have their unique quirks and even if its tucking them in at night, Im up to it! I currently am on medical leave; disability causes physical limitations that are manageable through monitoring/breaks(impossible in food service). My schedule is rather free because of this, allowing me to plan events around pet care rather than the opposite, allowing me to prioritize their care! Best Contact Hours: 8am to 8pm (PT) I remain available for contact through message or call consistently! If desired updates during care may be sent, whether requested beforehand or spontaneously. [including pictures & videos of course!!] I have reliable transportation and am also willing to allow pets in my vehicle. Of course accidents occur, for such I have a waterproof pet blanket to prevent damage of any kind! [accidents or extra cleaning will never bring complaints/charges as it is expected with pets]

About: Hi everyone! I grew up with cats and dogs and am no stranger to all there needs, I regularly sit for my friends and family and can handle all of your pet sitting needs. My job is Monday thru Friday 7-3 so I'm available between 6-7 am and after 3 during the week and any time on the weekends My dog goes to the dog park almost daily during the week and is no stranger to going on hikes on weekends, she is very good with other dogs and would never turn down a play mate.
About: Since I can remember, I've always had a special connection with animals, specially with dogs. I didn't grow up with a dog (although I would have love it), but I married a dog person. My husband has had dogs since he was a baby. Our first dog was named Chelsea, and she made me realize you can have two first loves. Since then, I can't imagine life without a dog. In the last year, we've been taking care of friend's dogs and Rover dogs, and every time a dog leaves our home, we've been told they miss it. You can be sure, I'm going to take care of your pet, like I would like someone to take care of mine. P.S: we live close to the airport!!! :) I normally work M-F, including couple of days working from home and my husband works Friday-Sunday shifts, so he has 4 full free days. Therefore, we both have a lot of time to spend with Arya and your pet. We have a Border Collie, and she needs a LOT of daily exercise, mental stimulation and training. We take her daily to a fenced park nearby our apartment, where she can run and be free. We also train her while she's indoors and outdoors. We can accommodate to your dog's lifestyle, so he/she feels comfortable staying with us.
“Daniel was very communicative and was happy to work with my anxious dog to build her trust. Daniel made it so I could enjoy my time away knowing my fur babies were taken care of”

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.
House sitting can be ideal for cats who need socialization or care that lasts longer than a few hours. Your cat stays in their own home, on their own schedule, with care based on what you and your sitter agree on together.
Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fairwood. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
