“Rebecca was very responsive and followed all the instructions I gave her. She sent daily photos and videos, which really helped ease my anxiety about leaving my cat alone at home for two weeks. I could tell my cat was well cared for, and I truly appreciated her help. Highly recommended!”

“Jessica is a great dog sitter! She was able to help us last minute and during Thanksgiving! She consistently updated us with pictures of Bella. She kept Bella engaged and gave a lot of attention.”

“Natalie was reliable, responsive, and helpful. She kept a good eye on the house, Maya, and made sure the automatic liter box was in working order. I appreciated that she noticed packages and brought them inside. Natalie is a great sitter!”

“When April first started sitting for us we had two cats. Now, courtesy of the bountiful cat distribution system, we have five. Our most recent addition was still being separated when valentines weekend rolled around and we needed a sitter. April was fantastic with all five of our fur babies, including feeding and playing with Thomas, who was separated from the others. The boxes were scooped, wet food distributed, and cats played with. We couldn’t ask for more. April is great!”

“★★★★★ Jenna is an absolute gift to pet parents everywhere! We honestly don't know how to put into words how grateful we are for Jenna. This was the very first time we had ever trusted anyone outside our family to care for our two fur babies, and handing over that responsibility for a full week felt daunting. Jenna made it feel completely effortless, and looking back, we couldn't imagine having chosen anyone else. From the very first check-in, she was punctual every single time, not once did we have to wonder if she'd show up or worry about the timing. But what really set her apart was how present she was during every visit. She didn't just stop by to feed and go; she genuinely engaged with our dogs, played with them, gave them attention, and made sure they felt loved the whole time we were gone. The photos and updates she sent were such a gift. Every visit came with a thoughtful, detailed paragraph about how the dogs were doing, their moods, and little moments from their day, paired with adorable photos that instantly put our minds at ease. Being away from your pets for a week is hard enough, but Jenna's updates made us feel like we were right there with them the whole time. She also took great care to make sure our home was secure after every visit, which meant so much to us. It's rare to find someone you trust so completely with something as precious as your pets, but Jenna has earned that trust tenfold. She will be the only person we ever rely on for pet care going forward, and we recommend her wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a sitter who treats your pets like family. Thank you, Jenna, for everything, you truly went above and beyond.”

“Caitlin has walked our energetic pup weekly for the past couple years and has done an amazing job. She handles his high energy and quirks so well and clearly loves animals. Our pup is always so excited to see her. She has also done drop-in visits for our three kitties while we’re out of town and again does an amazing job. She sends great updates with pictures so we know how they’re doing and it’s such a relief to know they’re in good hands while we’re gone. Overall, Caitlin is very professional, trustworthy, and communicative - she has been such a huge help to us.”

About: Ive grown up with dogs and cats ever since I was a kid. We’ve had multiple dogs and cats and now I own my own kitty. I also have taken care of friends, family members, and neighbors pets. 🐶I usually work Sunday-Thursday. Some shifts are 4 hours and some are 8. Looking to take care of pets on my free time ! I’m pretty flexible on pet care 🐱I have 2 cats so as long as the other pets are friendly, they are welcome to my home. Pets are allowed on my couch. On all my off hours I will be spending all my free time with your animal/s. Looking for dog walks, cat/dog drop ins, in your home and my home pet care/sleepovers.
About: I really believe the world is better with animals, and they deserve nothing but love—because that’s all they have to give us. I know every dog requires different treatment and attention, and every animal is unique. My husband Marcus and I are hardworking, kind, and huge animal lovers with lots of love to give. We both enjoy being outdoors and are happy to stop by your house to give your pet some food, scratchies, and snuggles—or take them out for fresh air, whether that’s throwing a ball or taking your older little guy on a slow, senior-friendly stroll. I grew up surrounded by animals and animal lovers. When I was younger, I trained my German Shepherd puppy to master all her tricks, and when she got older and became incontinent due to her elderly age, I provided hands-on care—changing her diapers, cleaning up after her, and helping her with stairs and jumps she couldn’t manage anymore. It was heartbreaking, but she taught me that we have to enjoy every moment with our babies while we can. I’m typically the go-to person for friends and family when they need someone to look after their animals while they’re away— I think it’s because they know I'll be equally obsessed and caring with their pet as they are. I take pride in providing loving, responsible care that feels just like home. I am a newly retired professional dancer. My days as of now are wide open as I make this transition into the next phase of my life! Unfortunately, my apartment isn’t suitable for overnight stays, so I’m currently offering only day visits and walks. When I go to a client's house, I make sure doors, windows, and gates are closed and watch out for things pets might get into—like plants, small objects, or foods that aren’t good for them. Hazardous stuff like cleaning products or meds are kept out of reach. I’ll never let a dog off-leash unless it’s in a securely fenced area because I understand how one wrong move can lead to a lost or hurt animal.
“Amber was so lovely to work with and took great care of our boy ❤️ she was very attentive to his care, paid attention to his energy levels and the activities, and made sure all his needs were met, even exceeded.”

“Ellyanna was great for drop in visits for our cat while on vacation! She was excellent at communicating, understood our cat’s needs, and was flexible on changes we needed too. Would definitely work with her again!”

“Hailee did a great job, our pets were very well cared for, she has great communication skills and followed instructions really well. Our pets got alot of affection and play time, they were very happy and healthy when we came home. Thank you!!”

“Daniel was great! I'm a first time Rover user, and everything went very smoothly from the meet and greet through his visits with Bobcat. Really like getting the check-ins along with the photos. I highly recommend Daniel.”

About: I've basically been taking care of dogs all my life! I can't even count how many I've had in my life. More recently, I've taken on fostering, accommodating dogs with health issues, which I've been doing for ten years or so. I have two frenchies I take care of at home, one that's basically a large, lazy cat, and another that's small and rambunctious. I also walk and dogsit twice a week for a friend of mine who doesn't have the ability to do so frequently. I give them attention when they're needy, dry them off after a walk if it's raining, or snuggle up with them if they're feeling a little more cuddly.
About: I was raised with dogs since I was about 5 years old, and had cats since I was 10. I currently own two beautiful cats that I've had for about 5 years now. I have pet sat for others while in the military, and am excited to do so again! I quit my job so that I can attend college full-time. Until I start classes, I am completely free and available to care for animals. Once I start classes, I will still be able to pet sit and board on my off days and weekends. :) I live in a two bedroom condo with a green belt out back and several nice walking trails nearby. I do have two cats, so any dogs I watch will need to be gentle and play nice!
“Kaity did extremely well watching over my two pups. One of them could be a handful to people and she was able manage him well. Communication was great throughout and she was able to solve any task that she encountered. She took cute photos and had play time with the doggos. She was very understanding of their feeding and potty schedules. She even went above and beyond and picked up our mail. She left our place clean. I trust her and would definitely rebook her. I recommend!”

“Stephanie is so reliable and awesome with our 3 dogs and cat. I had a last minute trip invite and she was able to accommodate our daily feeding, potty and water break check in while my husband was at work. Stephanie always goes over and above by spending time playing fetch with the pups for most of the visit even in the rain then swiffered the tracked in wetness before leaving. I loved seeing the pics she sent us of each fur baby as well. I highly recommended Stephanie and her Rover services 100%. Thanks!!”

About: I currently have 2 dogs and 3 chickens for 5 years and counting. I had three cats for about 10 years. Growing up I had dogs, cats, rabbits, and hamsters. Weekdays I'm available after work at 3pm. I'm available some weekend days for the whole day, and sometimes I have weekdays off and I'm available the whole day. My house has a fully fenced in backyard. Also a Greenway trail right behind us, and a park that is a 3 minute walk away.

About: I have cared for animals of all ages since I was a kid I’ve taken care of all kinds of animals big and small I have taken obedience classes with several dogs. I think I was the one who was trained and I only use a positive and supportive approach with pets. 😊 When it comes to years of experience, I have taken care of pets since I was 5 and able to put the food in the bowl for our cats and dogs I think it is fair to say I have 30 years of experience. I promise to treat your pet with love and give all the skritches and scratches they want. I recently left a full time job working with young children to lessen the stress in my life and to work on having a more active lifestyle. This has left my schedule during the day open and I thought Rover might be a good place to start. Safety is my first priority for your pet. We can talk and determine what is going to work best for you, me and your fur baby to ensure a successful visit or walk.

Shuyao took wonderful care of my four cats while we were gone. The correspondence was great, and she sent many pictures of them from every visit. It really helped ease my mind, knowing that they had such excellent care while I was away. They thrived, and I am so appreciative!

Thank you Holly for taking such great care of our kitties this weekend! Having a diabetic cat makes traveling stressful, but Holly made us feel completely at ease. She did an excellent job testing blood glucose, giving insulin, sticking to schedules and even helping with food dishes. She was a great communicator throughout the stay, sent updates, and handled our sassy calico like a pro. We truly appreciated the care and attention she gave our cats, and we wouldn't hesitate to book with her again. Highly recommend!🤍

Grace is amazing! She went above and beyond for all my pets, both furry and scaly while I was gone. She gave great updates and I slept well thousands of miles away knowing that all my babies were being attended to with attention and care. I highly recommend her for all your pet-sitting needs.

Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Fairwood. On Rover:

You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
