They are the nicest people I have met in a long time. I’m not just saying this either. JENNIFER ANSWERS TEXT IN A TIMELY MANNER. She scheduled a meet & greet and showed me where my baby girl would be staying and her back yard is big enough to fit an entire litter of pups/dogs without them bumping into each other. My baby stayed with Jennifer & family for 7 days. I even messed up on drop off/pick up time and she was very understanding. This was my first time using this service and Jennifer helped me through the process. Anyone who has read this far, believe this if you believe nothing else-for her price YOU WILL RECEIVE MORE THAN YOU EXPECT! She was so amazing my baby isn’t talking to me because she wants to go back?. I genuinely will not use anyone else. BOOK JENNIFER TODAY! ❤️”

I do not have any animas so there is no issue worrying if they will get along! I live in an apartment right next to a park!
About: I have always loved animals. I started walking my neighbors dog when I was 15. I have dog sat for many ranging from family, friends, neighbors, and mutuals. About: I have over 15 years of experience with all types of animals. I have a deep affection for animals and understand the importance of their well-being. Whether it’s a playful dog or a curious cat, I always take the time to understand their unique behaviors and needs. I am attentive and patient, ensuring they feel comfortable, loved, and secure. For pet owners, knowing that I can offer reliable care provides peace of mind—whether it’s a quick check-in, a thoughtful response to any concerns, or simply understanding how to make their pets feel at ease. My love for animals is grounded in the belief that pets deserve kindness, respect, and consistent care. I focus on building a trusting bond with each pet so they feel comfortable and safe in my presence. For pet owners, this trust is invaluable—it means you can leave home knowing that your furry friend is not just in good hands, but in the hands of someone who genuinely loves and cares for them as if they were my own. I will be taking this position fulltime ensuring exercise and playtime, feeding and medication routine, rest and comfort. Incorporating pet care into my daily and weekly routine ensures your pet receives consistent attention, love, and the appropriate level of care to keep them healthy, happy, and safe. Your pet’s well-being is always a priority, and my routine revolves around meeting their physical, emotional, and social needs. My home is pet-proofed to ensure there are no hazards, such as toxic plants, sharp objects, or unsafe areas that your pet could access. All windows and doors are securely closed or locked to prevent any escapes, and I always monitor pets closely when they’re outside to ensure they’re safely contained. Your pet will have a designated, cozy sleeping area that is safe and comfortable, whether it’s their bed, crate, or a spot they’re familiar with. I will ensure that this area is free from distractions and potential dangers, allowing them to rest peacefully and securely. I’ll keep your pet’s daily routine consistent, including feeding times, exercise, and rest. If they’re on medication or need specific care, I will ensure they receive the correct dosage at the right times. Sticking to their usual routine helps minimize stress and makes them feel more at home in my care.
“Absolutely incredible care for my pup while we were away for the weekend. Lexie provided daily updates and responsive communication and it was clear that we left our dog in the best hands. Definitely will be booking again for all future needs.”

“Second time bringing the dogs over and my experience with Awy and Stephanie definitely didn’t disappoint. She constantly send videos and pictures. What I love most is that she’s very special and caring with them. It’s like caring for them myself.”

About: I have been watching dogs for most of my life. i’ve watched many breeds for weeks at a time for friends and enjoyed every second. I grew up raising dachshunds as a young kid and i enjoy having a companion to care for and play with! I am stationed in Fort Benning, GA and i work Monday-Friday from 8AM-4PM. i am gone most of the day but i have a consistent work schedule. On occasion, i will travel out of town, but i will make sure my availability shows the days i am not at home. I have a fenced in back yard with plenty of space to run and play. There aren’t any dogs around me to pester or threaten any dog that’s near my house. i am able to crate anytime i need as well. i live in a very quiet neighborhood (on a dead end road) so i rarely see cars drive by. i walk and run on my road everyday by myself and am more than willing to walk dogs with me as well.
About: I have loved dogs all of my life and have always had one. I connect with any and every dog that I come across. When you are away I want you to have the peace of mind that someone that cares is taking care of your dog. Your dog is apart of your family, and I will treat it like that! I am able to walk all sizes of dogs, and have experience with many large breed dogs. I prefer to take care of bigger dogs, because that is what I love to do. I have experience with labs all the way up to Great Danes (my favorite)!! I currently own a Great Dane who gets along with any dog. I work full time during the week, but am home most weekends. When I am home, 100% of my times will be devoted to your pets. I have a fenced in yard that is .5 acre. Dogs will have plenty of room to run out energy. Dogs are allowed on furniture.
About: I’ve been around family dogs and cats my whole life, and caring for animals has always brought me joy. In my free time, I’ve fostered puppies and kittens from the local shelter, so I’m very comfortable with pets of all ages, personalities, and energy levels. When a pet is entrusted to me, I truly treat them as my own! I want them to feel comfortable and at home even while you’re away. I don’t have any pets of my own, so your pet will get my full attention and 1-on-1 care. I’m also big on communication — I know it could be a little nerve-racking to entrust a pet to a stranger, so I love to send occasional photo and video updates to keep you reassured and in the loop. As a non-student, I’m flexible with scheduling and happy to work with your pet’s usual routine. My goal is to make the experience stress-free for both you and your pet(s)! I work full-time with a one-hour midday break, so I’m able to care for pets in the mornings, during lunch, and in the evenings. I’m also available most weekends and holidays since I live locally and have a flexible schedule. I can care for pets in my home or yours—whatever makes them most comfortable! My home is pet-free and traffic-free, so they will get my full attention. I’m happy to crate dogs if needed or let them roam freely in a calm, safe space. If a pet would be happier at your home, I’m happy to visit for check-ins or overnights, following your pet’s usual routine and preferences. I want them to feel as comfortable as possible with a new person, so I can adapt to whatever would make them most comfortable and happy!

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Opelika
Leaving Cooper for a full week over the Fourth of July was a big deal for me, but from the very beginning I knew he was in great hands. Kristen welcomed him into her home like he was part of the family and kept me updated every day with photos and messages, which gave me so much peace of mind. The best part was seeing how happy and relaxed Cooper was when I picked him up. It was obvious he had been well cared for, loved, and made to feel at home. I never had to worry while I was away, and that is priceless. I would absolutely trust her with Cooper again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable pet sitter. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of him!

Spirit had a wonderful time staying with Laura. It almost hurt our feelings when we left her there how excited that she was to be there and how uninterested she was in the fact that we were leaving. That makes us feel like Laura treats her like she is at home. We highly recommend her to keep your babies.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
