“Mrs Catherine is the best person that took care of my golden doodle and this’s priceless to me. I really love that she was sending pictures and videos every single day and updating me on how Karol was doing. Please Do not hesitate to contact her for the care of your pet, as she will provide excellent care. She’ll be my dog sitter on our upcoming vacations.”

“I was able to book with Casey last minute and she took great care of my Sweetie. When my cousin picked my dog up she said my dog was walking around like she was home and comfortable. I would definitely rebook and you should too.”

About: I'm a full time professional dog trainer, and located on 4 Acres near Brookstone in North Columbus, my house the only legally operated, state-licensed, and insured home kennel offered on Rover. My personal dogs are a Mini-Schnauzer name Cricket, Doberman named Domino, and a Pointer named Marley. Training dogs is my full time job. I own my own business, The Barkitekt, and founded the Columbus Kennel Club. I have 6 years of experience working with dogs, puppy foundations, resource guarding, and behavior issues that take real experience to handle safely. I primarily train service dogs and sometimes sport dogs. I'm comfortable with puppies, seniors, dogs on medication, and large or strong breeds. This service is not a training program. I do not board reactive dogs that have not been trained through this program, this included dogs that have not been crated before. Please reach out for help with training this. Dog training is my full time job and I work from home, so your dog isn't alone waiting for me to get back from an office. I'm here all day, every day. I send video updates daily so you know how they're doing, and I'm reachable by text or email if you want to check in. I have four acres. Two are fully fenced, so dogs get real off-leash room to run in a secure space. The other two are wooded and unfenced with a couple of running streams. I treat boarding dogs the way I treat my own, which means the same basic house expectations: sitting before the door opens, waiting to be released, calm manners around food. It isn't formal training and I don't charge for it or promise it as a service, it's just how my house runs. That said, owners fairly often tell me their dog came home a little easier to live with.

Communication with Marina was very good and she listed what we needed to bring when dropping Goma off for a 2 nites stay. Marina sent us pictures of Goma throughout the stay. Our family felt very happy to see Goma doing well with her! It was a warm knowing feeling they Goma was "in very good hands" Good job and we'll done! Thank you very much, Iinuma Family”

About: I’ve worked with animals for as long as I can remember. I used to train hunting dogs and have fostered for paws regularly. I am used to watching dogs of all ages. I am a mom to a 3 month old and I am currently in nursing school. I am home most of the time other than the occasional errand and one 1.5 hour class on Tuesdays. My fiancé works during the day and is home by 4, so we go on lots of walks at the parks with our own dogs. I love to keep my dogs active and their mind busy. I go on multiple long walks and go to the park often. I love to challenge their minds with fun toys that stimulate the brain.
“Jessica was absolutely amazing with my dog, Greyson! She kept him for the weekend and was incredibly easy to communicate with very responsive and always keeping me updated. She sent photos and videos throughout his stay, which gave me so much peace of mind. I could tell immediately when Greyson came home that he had been in great hands. His behavior was noticeably different in the best way—he was happy, energetic, and relaxed. I’ve taken him to multiple sitters and boarding places through Rover before, and he usually comes back feeling lethargic. This time was completely different. You could really tell he was loved and well cared for. One of my favorite moments was seeing photos of him sitting by the fireplace, it truly felt like he was at home.”

“Pheebs had a great time with Lexi. I have never used this app before or actually left her with anyone other then family. Lexi put me at ease from them moment I met her. And boy did phoebe have a time. She has dogs herself which made phoebes stay even better. Play dates are her favorite. Lexi messaged me pictures and update on phoebe! I 100% recommend her to anyone”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Midland
After a confirmed sitter bailed on us, we reached out to William very last minute. He was super responsive and thankfully everything worked out really well! Our dogs seemed very happy and well taken care of. I’m always very anxious about leaving my fur babies somewhere new, and this was actually my first Rover experience. William and his son were both super responsive and sent us pictures throughout our dogs’ stay, which was such a huge relief. We’re very thankful they were able to accommodate us on such short notice!

Aspen took really good care of my sweet girl while I was out of town. She made sure to communicate with me while my girl was with her. I felt comfortable leaving Finlea with her, knowing that she would be taken care of. I could tell that she loves here job, and caring for others babies! I would definitely recommend her to anyone that is needing to find someone trustworthy for watch their fur baby!

Debbie was great....she gave us regular updates on Roodles. She took very care of our dog....we were very impressed. She even had a meet and greet in the beginning to meet roodles....we felt very comfortable leaving Roodles with her. Our dog is scared of fireworks and Debbie comforted her and got her through it on NY eve

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
