About: What sets me apart is how intentional I am with each pet. I pay attention to their behavior, energy, and comfort level so they feel safe, not just watched. I’m patient with puppies and can help reinforce routines like potty training and basic commands. I’m also gentle and attentive with senior pets, making sure they’re comfortable and cared for at their pace. I’m reliable, detail-oriented, and I keep communication clear so you always know your pet is in good hands! Pet care fits well into my routine since I’m home part-time and have a flexible schedule. I’m able to plan my days so pets get consistent attention, whether that’s walks, playtime, or check-ins throughout the day. When I’m home, I’m present and attentive, and I make sure any time away is planned around the pet’s needs so their routine stays consistent. I prioritize making pets feel comfortable and cared for, not rushed. I have an open yard and leave near the marina. I’m happy to take them to the beach! They love to play in that area.
About: I’ve taken care and been around all animals since High school and I’m a certified vet assistant for going on 5 years now and I’m fear free certified. I’ve just received my Master’s of Science in Veterinary Science. Update as of August 8th, 2026. I currently work full time at Banfield Pet Hospital as a Veterinary Assistant. My schedule varies you are more than welcome to text me for availability. I will be updating weekly as my work schedule permits I work 8am-4pm or 7am-4pm on some shifts. Thank You! Look forward to being with your babies🫶🏾🥰🐶🐈 I will make sure your lovely fur baby will be well taken care of, played with, and taken to the potty and walked each day I’m around.
About: I’ve had a variety of animals growing up. There was never a time in my household where i did not have a pet. I am great with animals, they seem to love me as much as I do them! I attend Auburn university. I usually have 1-3 classes a day, but I am done by 12pm. I am available between 12-6! What better way to spend my free time! I have a strong love for animals. I am very passionate about them. If i were to watch your fur baby, I would play with them, make sure they eat well, take them out for fresh air! I even turn on cartoons that they can see the colors with!
“Audrey was absolutely wonderful! She sent us updates and pictures every day, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Our dog clearly had a great time, he played every day, seemed completely comfortable, and was happy and relaxed when we picked him up. In the past, he has sometimes seemed nervous or skittish after staying with other sitters, but that was not the case at all with Audrey. We could tell he felt safe, well cared for, and genuinely enjoyed his stay. We were extremely satisfied with the care she provided and would gladly recommend Audrey to anyone looking for a trustworthy and attentive dog sitter. We will definitely use her again!”

About: I’ve been around family dogs and cats my whole life, and caring for animals has always brought me joy. In my free time, I’ve fostered puppies and kittens from the local shelter, so I’m very comfortable with pets of all ages, personalities, and energy levels. When a pet is entrusted to me, I truly treat them as my own! I want them to feel comfortable and at home even while you’re away. I don’t have any pets of my own, so your pet will get my full attention and 1-on-1 care. I’m also big on communication — I know it could be a little nerve-racking to entrust a pet to a stranger, so I love to send occasional photo and video updates to keep you reassured and in the loop. As a non-student, I’m flexible with scheduling and happy to work with your pet’s usual routine. My goal is to make the experience stress-free for both you and your pet(s)! I work full-time with a one-hour midday break, so I’m able to care for pets in the mornings, during lunch, and in the evenings. I’m also available most weekends and holidays since I live locally and have a flexible schedule. I can care for pets in my home or yours—whatever makes them most comfortable! My home is pet-free and traffic-free, so they will get my full attention. I’m happy to crate dogs if needed or let them roam freely in a calm, safe space. If a pet would be happier at your home, I’m happy to visit for check-ins or overnights, following your pet’s usual routine and preferences. I want them to feel as comfortable as possible with a new person, so I can adapt to whatever would make them most comfortable and happy!
About: I have had my beagle for almost 6 years and one of my favorite things to do is take her to cute parks I find. If you know anything about beagles, you know they are very curious dogs who arent that great at walks - so I am experienced in taking care of slightly difficult dogs and love them regardless!! I am currently a biomedical sciences student at Auburn university. When I am not in class, I enjoy finding cute parks/coffee shops to study at! I love nothing more than having pets as study buddies :) I have a fenced in yard and a beagle who is really friendly with other dogs. I love spending time with pups and mine has a lot of energy, so I am often playing fetch and tug of war to get some of that energy out!
About: I have over 15 years of experience with all types of animals. I have a deep affection for animals and understand the importance of their well-being. Whether it’s a playful dog or a curious cat, I always take the time to understand their unique behaviors and needs. I am attentive and patient, ensuring they feel comfortable, loved, and secure. For pet owners, knowing that I can offer reliable care provides peace of mind—whether it’s a quick check-in, a thoughtful response to any concerns, or simply understanding how to make their pets feel at ease. My love for animals is grounded in the belief that pets deserve kindness, respect, and consistent care. I focus on building a trusting bond with each pet so they feel comfortable and safe in my presence. For pet owners, this trust is invaluable—it means you can leave home knowing that your furry friend is not just in good hands, but in the hands of someone who genuinely loves and cares for them as if they were my own. I will be taking this position fulltime ensuring exercise and playtime, feeding and medication routine, rest and comfort. Incorporating pet care into my daily and weekly routine ensures your pet receives consistent attention, love, and the appropriate level of care to keep them healthy, happy, and safe. Your pet’s well-being is always a priority, and my routine revolves around meeting their physical, emotional, and social needs. My home is pet-proofed to ensure there are no hazards, such as toxic plants, sharp objects, or unsafe areas that your pet could access. All windows and doors are securely closed or locked to prevent any escapes, and I always monitor pets closely when they’re outside to ensure they’re safely contained. Your pet will have a designated, cozy sleeping area that is safe and comfortable, whether it’s their bed, crate, or a spot they’re familiar with. I will ensure that this area is free from distractions and potential dangers, allowing them to rest peacefully and securely. I’ll keep your pet’s daily routine consistent, including feeding times, exercise, and rest. If they’re on medication or need specific care, I will ensure they receive the correct dosage at the right times. Sticking to their usual routine helps minimize stress and makes them feel more at home in my care.
“Jennifer and her family are awesome! Great family enviroment!! Friendly and welcoming. Rubble had had a good time. I would recommend Jennifer to all my friend's.”

About: I have taken care of puppies, I have trained my own dog tricks and would love to be able to help with others dog owners if needed. I work 4 days a week, off on Fridays and come home for lunch for my dog. I walk my dog all the time. And love to going to the park. I live in an apartment, constantly taking my dog to the park all the time. My dog is allowed to be on the furniture as much as she wants and gets lots of treats.
“I would recommend Jenny to anyone who is looking for a caring dog sitter. Jenny treated Boogaard as if it were her own dog. She contacted me throughout the day giving me updates on how my puppy was doing. I won’t hesitate to use Jenny as a dog sitter again!”

“All I can say is wow. Madison went above and beyond to make our baby Greyson comfortable, even given our sweet little boy a bath after playing in the mud with her sweet Shepherds. Was excited to see me when I picked him up, but he seemed that he was torn and wanted to stay with Madison as well. Definitely will rebook.”

“Carter did a great job with our baby girl! He kept her over the weekend for us and we would certainly book with him again. He sent us photos of her time on the farm & was very responsive to messages. Thanks Carter, Mabel had a blast with you!!”

“Alona is absolutely amazing!! Very attentive and detailed. She communicates well with updates and she really put my mind at ease when I needed a dog sitter in a clutch. My 🐕 was so happy when I picked him up that he didn’t want to leave 😃 I will definitely call her to dog sit again. Thanks Alona!!!”

About: I have grown up with dogs my entire life as well as dog and cat sitting since I was 16 years old. I have helped potty train dogs as well as bird dog training. I own my own company and create my own hours so pet sitting fits perfectly with my schedule. I am able to sit whenever I want to and keep up with my own work. I live in an apartment where we have balconies that have locks and railings to keep animals safe as well as a fenced in dog park for any playtime activities. We also have a safe complex where we can do long walks. For safety purposes cats are not allowed on the balcony while with me. We also have doors with special codes so animals can not escape and doors at either of the hall where pets can not make it down the stairs on their own.
“I was able to book with Casey last minute and she took great care of my Sweetie. When my cousin picked my dog up she said my dog was walking around like she was home and comfortable. I would definitely rebook and you should too.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Auburn
Tori was so good with my 13 year old Yorkie. She gave him lots of attention and engagement and didn’t mind if she needed to take him out more often. He came back calm and sleeping through the night again! Her communication with us was always clear and she kept the pictures coming. She even had a little place in her home specifically for a pet. It was like he was staying at a good friends house who had known him all his life. We are so grateful! Finding a good boarding sitter is hard but we struck gold with Tori!

Great communication on how our dog was doing during her first visit including daily photos which made us feel good about selecting Annie. Drop off was very welcoming and even though we arrived home sooner than expected we were able to pick up Skylar right away. We will gladly work with Annie again in the future!

I had a great experience with Dominik boarding my two dogs. What stood out the most was that he was willing to take them in at the last minute, which helped me out tremendously and truly meant a lot. From the beginning, Dominik was professional, responsive, and made me feel comfortable leaving my dogs in his care. You can tell he genuinely cares about animals and wants to make sure they feel comfortable. My dogs were well taken care of, and I appreciated knowing they were in good hands while I was away. Finding someone dependable to trust with your pets is not always easy, but I would absolutely recommend Dominik to anyone looking for reliable and caring boarding services.

Addie's stay with Liz and her family went very well! She was very well cared for and seemed to fit in quickly! We were updated regularly via text, including photos and comments about her adventures with Liz and Tucker's dog, Emmy. They seemed to become fast friends and enjoyed spending time together in the big, beautiful backyard. I would highly recommend booking Liz for your boarding needs! She and her warm, inviting family will make your pet feel very much at home and provide you with great peace of mind!

I’m glad I booked Selena to watch my dog Zion for the weekend while we were away! She took great care of him going on car rides, walks and even taking him to visit Chewacla to see the waterfall. She sent me updates with pictures everyday which I appreciated if you’re looking for someone to watch your pet while your away book Selena! 🙌🏽

Camilla took amazing care of my kitten while I was traveling, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the start, she was kind, responsible, and clearly passionate about animals. She kept me updated with messages and photos, which gave me great peace of mind while I was away. It’s easy to see that caring for animals comes naturally to her. My shy little feral kitten warmed up to her right away! Knowing that she’s studying to become a vet made me feel even more confident that my pet was in the best possible hands. I came home to a happy, relaxed kitten. Camilla truly went above and beyond, and I’ll definitely be asking her to pet sit again in the future. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, loving, and attentive to care for your furry family member, Camilla is the perfect choice! 🐾

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in AL ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
