“Emily was excellent. I threw a few curve balls, and she responded beautifully. Thanks so much to Emily for taking care of everything for Kitty while I was on an extended vacation. I totally recommend her with no reservation.”

About: I grew up training puppy’s and always having a dog/cat in the home. I am a loving dog sitter and will give your dog the care they need! I am an early riser and love to go on walks so your furry friend will get great exercise!! I like schedules and routines, and my house is always very clean! I do not have any animals so there is no issue worrying if they will get along! I live in a very spacious apartment and absolutely love to go on walks!
“Emily took great care of our golden doodle for a week while we were out of town. She did multiple visits each day and was very thorough with her visit summaries and pictures.”

“Carly was a wonderful sitter for my 2 young and energetic dogs! I highly recommend her, she sent detailed updates about each dog and made sure I was up to date with how they were doing. Will definitely want to use her again in the future!”

About: I provide dependable, attentive care and treat every dog like they're my own. As a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) student and someone who has worked in a veterinary clinic, I have experience recognizing signs of illness, handling pets safely, administering basic care, and understanding the importance of following medical and behavioral instructions. This background allows me to provide an extra level of confidence and care for pets of all ages. Whether we're going for a walk, playing outside, or relaxing at home, I focus on making sure each dog feels safe, comfortable, and loved. I understand that every dog has a unique personality and routine, so I'm happy to follow your instructions to keep them happy and stress-free while you're away. I'm patient with puppies who are still learning and can reinforce basic training and routines. I'm also attentive to senior dogs who may need a slower pace, extra care, or medication schedules. I'll also send cute pictures/videos so you know your dog is getting all the attention and love they deserve! As a veterinary student at Auburn, my weekdays are generally structured around classes from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. I'm available for early morning visits and walks before class, as well as evening visits after class. My weekends are much more flexible, allowing me to spend extra time with pets through walks, drop-in visits, or extended care. Caring for animals is already a big part of my daily life, and I enjoy making time to give each pet the attention, exercise, and affection they need. When caring for pets in a client's home, I do my best to keep their routine as consistent as possible. I'll follow your instructions for feeding, walks, playtime, medications, and any special care your pet needs. I also make sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, and exercise while respecting your home and leaving it just as I found it. As a DVM student with veterinary clinic experience, I'm comfortable recognizing changes in a pet's behavior or health and will communicate any concerns promptly. I'll also send regular photo and video updates so you can relax knowing your pet is happy, safe, and well cared for while you're away.
About: I grew up on a farm so I’ve been around animals all my life. Family and friends have trusted me for all of their pet-sitting needs for years. I currently have two dogs. I’ve dog sat dogs of all ages in my home and in the owners’ homes. Last fall, I witnessed a man dumping two dogs near my home. One of them was pregnant. We were able to raise the puppies and give them and the mom to loving homes. We kept the other dog and now her and the chiweenie that we already owned are best friends. I also have experience with special needs dogs. My chiweenie recently lost his left eye after another dog jumped on him. I've learned to be patient with him as he regains confidence and navigates everyday life with one eye. I am a full-time student at college. I do not have a job but I am looking for a part-time gig to do along with pet care. My classes aren't all day so I would be able to care for pets in the morning and as needed in the later afternoon/night. In the client’s home, I can feed, water, play with and follow whatever specific instructions I’m given. I can walk your dog on a leash and make sure they always have water.
About: I’ve been around dogs and animals my entire life and have always loved caring for them. I grew up with dogs in my family, and I currently have a Goldendoodle of my own, so I’m very comfortable with the day-to-day responsibilities that come with having a pet. I currently work full-time Monday through Friday, but I’m able to make time for your pets throughout the day. I can stop by during my lunch break when needed, and I’m available after 5 PM on weekdays. I also have more flexibility on weekends and am happy to work with your schedule to make sure your pet gets the care and attention they need! For drop-in visits, I’ll make sure your pet is safe, comfortable, and cared for in their own familiar environment. I’ll also make sure to keep you updated during my visit!
About: For as long as I can, remember I have had a dog in my household ! I am able to adapt to any scenario as I have witnessed the process of raising a dog 3 times over. Do you have a young pup that needs lots of play time? I’ve got the energy to match! An older dog who needs attention and care? I’ve got the skills to help them through the evening! Dogs are an important parts of our families so they should get the care that they deserve. I am currently a student at Auburn university with plenty of free time to help out where I’m needed. My schedule is very flexible throughout the week since classes never run past 1:00 P.M. (besides Thursdays). Some weekends I may be available so if you need a quick hand, don’t be scared to shoot me a message! In my experience with owning and taking care of dogs, it is very important that they get the exercise they need. Every weekend I would take my precious pup to the dog park to go run and play with all of the other dogs, and whenever we couldn’t get out, I would do my best to play with them in my home for as long as they needed. I would always check to see if there was enough water in the bowl, especially during those unbearable Alabama summers, as well as taking them outside to do their business at morning, noon, and night.
“Kailyn did such a fantastic job watching my little Coco! My cat is very energetic and needs a lot of attention. Kailyn played with her and gave her so much love during every visit. She always sent me updates and was great at communicating. I already have her booked to watch Coco again in October and November!”

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Auburn
Bella has done such a great job with our 2 dogs. One of them is a grumpy, achy senior and she gives him his medicine and a massage. The other is a very active, chase-obsessed border collie, and she wears him out with attention. She even brought the boys some new tennis balls! I am so glad to have found Bella to help us when we are out of town!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
