“I can't say enough amazing things about Brooke! She was available SUPER short notice and took amazing care of our animals! They also loved her from the word go... 1000/10!!!”

About: i’ve grown up with dogs my whole life. I currently have three and they are my whole world. being with and taking care of animals is my happiness. I currently work five days a week 3pm to 10pm. I can walk in the mornings or even check on animals after and before work. I have a fenced in yard and three dogs myself so I have plenty of food and toys for the little ones to play with.
About: I love pets with all my heart. I have two mini golden doodles right now but I want to grow my pet family later. I enjoy spending quality time with my pets, playing with them, watching movies with them, they are basically by my side all the time and your pets will never be out of my sight and will for sure have an amazing time and be safe with me! I am pretty open with my schedule at the moment and I am free whenever you may need me to watch your dog. I’m currently in online school to become a CMA so it works well with me dog sitting. It all depends on what my client would want for the pet. In my opinion every pet needs a different type of care of other pets. My doodles are very outgoing they love to play until they get tired but they always need to be by someone because they have desperation anxiety. So it’s a matter of listening to the owner and getting a understanding of what there pet is like and needs
About: I have taken care of animals since the age of 12. I have experience with a wide range of pets including ,but not limited to cats, horses, small dogs ranging from chihuahua, Yorkie, and pomeranian. To larger dogs like German shepherds, Rottweiler, pitbulls, and great Pyrenees hurding dogs. I also have a history of equestrian work with horses so it's made it easier to handle larger dogs. All pets deserve to be pampered and treated like family. Every time no excuse. I am a stay at home mom so I have no schedule to work around. I am available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. How each pet is treated will heavily depend on the owners wants and the pets needs. I will do my absolute best to keep any discussed expectations met. And I will always make sure I do what I can to help the pet have fun and be safe and comfortable. And for house sitting my goals are to meet all expectations discussed before hand and make someone's life just a bit easier .

“Loved Mars! She even won the heart of my cat, which is hard to do! For a week Mars took care of my dog and cat while I was on the west coast. She gave frequent updates and always responded quickly. She’s trustworthy.”

About: I've taken care of pets since I was around 10 years old. Neighbors, family, and friends have relied on me to feed, play, walk, and love on their furry friends! I am currently working part time while in college for 2 hours (Tuesday and Thursday) so I have plenty of time to be present with you pet and making sure their needs are met! Unfortunately, I am not set up in the right environment to be able to watch your pet in my own home. Maybe in the future! :)
About: Animals have always been a big part of my life. I started helping my mom at a humane society when I was around 13, where we fostered kittens until they were ready to be adopted. That’s where I really learned patience and how to care for animals with different needs and personalities. I’ve grown up with pets my whole life-dogs, cats, and fish, so I’m very comfortable with everyday care like feeding, routines, and paying attention to behavior. I also currently work in animal care at Oxbow Meadows, where I take care of reptiles and amphibians. It’s given me a lot of hands-on experience and made me really confident handling all kinds of animals. I know every pet is different, so I try to make sure they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while you’re away. I'm currently a college student with a flexible schedule, I do work throughout the week days as well, ranging from 4 up to 8 hours. But i am willing to adjust my schedule if needed. For house sitting, I'm always able to keep your fluffy friend company through the night! When caring for my your pets I keep it similar to how i treat my own animals unless called for otherwise. I regularly take them out on walks and potty breaks, play time is a must and I like to keep a strict eye on the pet to make sure they're safe and sound at all times. I will always keep in contact with you and give regular updates in pictures of how your pet is doing.
“Megan, She went above and beyond at taking care of my two cats. She sent constant pictures of my babies and treated them with kindness. She even went the extra mile to bring in a package that I had no idea was arriving. That was such a nice touch. We will definitely be booking again. She is detail oriented, communicative, and honest. Thank you!”

I have always owned cats and dogs and feel life with out a fur baby isn't a life at all. During the summer, the week of Thanksgiving, and when school is out for Christmas and Spring break, pet sitting and walking is all that I do! I am available to spend my entire day walking and spending time with your pets. When school is in session I am available in the evenings and weekends. I will make sure your pets are fed and have fresh water. If you have a fenced yard that you allow your pet to be unsupervised in I will make sure to check that any gates are secure before allowing your pet into the yard. I will play with your pets if they need to be active and cuddle them if they need a rest.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Columbus
Leaving my dog for the first time was something I was incredibly nervous about. He has always stayed with family, and the one time I boarded him before, he really struggled. So leaving him at home for 6 days and trusting someone new to care for both him and my cat was a huge step for me. Lucy was wonderful and took excellent care of my babies. She stayed overnight the first night and then came by consistently throughout each day to check on them, give medications, take my dog on walks, and even brushed him. My cat is very shy and doesn’t come out for most people. Lucy worked gently to get him comfortable with her. By the last couple of days he was really coming around! Still keeping some distance, but her gentle persistence was working. It is obvious that Lucy cares about their comfort. I really appreciated the constant updates and photos. They gave me so much peace of mind and allowed me to actually relax while I was away. My dog was so much happier being able to stay in his own home, and my cat also did much better having his bestie there and someone coming in regularly. I truly could not have asked for a better first time experience. I highly recommend Lucy and will absolutely use her again in the future.

Whether you’re at the office for the day or traveling for a few nights, a pet sitter can offer potty breaks during a Columbus stroll, cleaning the litter box, or making sure your pet has on-time food or water refills. Tip: You can discuss your specific arrangements with a pet sitter on Rover to what fits you, your pet, and your sitter’s needs. To find what their special skills are, look at the "Skills" and "Pet care experience" sections on their profile.
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Columbus choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
While Rover doesn’t offer traditional subscription services, some sitters offer recurring bookings for services like home visits and dog walking. Recurring services come with their own perks, such as flexibility to modify services (up to five weeks in advance), automatic billing, Rover Card updates, and same-day cancellations.
To find sitters in Columbus with recurring or weekly availability, select "Repeat Weekly" and which days you’d like them to care for your pet.

Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
