“Nikki + Ben were absolutely amazing with our pups! They were so caring and attentive and kept me up to date on how they were doing while I was out of town. I would recommend this sweet couple to anyone!”

“Maureen was fantastic this our first time trying something new and leaving our little boy behind was shocking. But Maureen made the transition very easy and kept us informed with photos each day we were away. Maureen thanks so much for this wonderful opportunity it won’t be our last time seeing you again!!! 5 out of 5 for sure 😃😘😊”

About: I'm a full time professional dog trainer, and located on 4 Acres near Brookstone in North Columbus, my house the only legally operated, state-licensed, and insured home kennel offered on Rover. My personal dogs are a Mini-Schnauzer name Cricket, Doberman named Domino, and a Pointer named Marley. Training dogs is my full time job. I own my own business, The Barkitekt, and founded the Columbus Kennel Club. I have 6 years of experience working with dogs, puppy foundations, resource guarding, and behavior issues that take real experience to handle safely. I primarily train service dogs and sometimes sport dogs. I'm comfortable with puppies, seniors, dogs on medication, and large or strong breeds. This service is not a training program. I do not board reactive dogs that have not been trained through this program, this included dogs that have not been crated before. Please reach out for help with training this. Dog training is my full time job and I work from home, so your dog isn't alone waiting for me to get back from an office. I'm here all day, every day. I send video updates daily so you know how they're doing, and I'm reachable by text or email if you want to check in. I have four acres. Two are fully fenced, so dogs get real off-leash room to run in a secure space. The other two are wooded and unfenced with a couple of running streams. I treat boarding dogs the way I treat my own, which means the same basic house expectations: sitting before the door opens, waiting to be released, calm manners around food. It isn't formal training and I don't charge for it or promise it as a service, it's just how my house runs. That said, owners fairly often tell me their dog came home a little easier to live with.
“This was our third time having Barley board with Taylor. As always she was great! We love having someone so consistent to watch Barley and already have her booked for another stay!”

“Samantha was absolutely great! I’m a first timer and she made me feel at ease from the start about leaving my dog with her. Will definitely book Samantha and her wonderful family again!”

“Olivia was great, I left my miniature schnauzer with her for a week. She sent pictures every day of her where she looked like she was having a great time with her two small dogs. I would definitely recommend Olivia to take care of your pets, she did an awesome job.”

“We were a little reluctant to leave Sophie and Lilah for a week while we were out of town. Thank goodness we found Robin, she took great care of our girls. She sent us pictures and videos everyday. In the pur daily pictures, our girls looked happy and even looked like they were smiling. It put our minds at ease and we could really relax knowing our pups were being well cared for. When we brought them home, they were exhausted from playing. We immediately booked another date with Robin. I highly recommend Robin if you need to board your pups. Great experience.”

“Katherine was great. I had never left Piper with anyone before. After I met Katherine at the meet and greet I felt very comfortable leaving Piper in her care. I just picked her up and I don't think Piper wanted to leave. I can tell she was loved on. I highly recommend Katherine and I will not hesitate to take Piper back if we need. Thank you, Katherine”

“Ashley has been watching my fur baby Raz since he has been a couple of weeks old she is like his second mom her family treats him like their own. She is the only one I trust with Raz you want regret leaving your fur baby with her”

“Alex was accommodating and extremely nice. He made us feel safe leaving our pups with him! He took the time to learn about our dog’s insulin injections, and even reached out with concerns. We will definitely use him again in the future.”

“Amanda took great care of our 9 year old dog. I felt very confident leaving him in her care. She was flexible with our timeframes and communication was great. Definitely recommend Amanda for your pets care.”

About: Here to make sure your 4 legged family feels safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. I treat every pet like they’re my own, and always do my best to stick to their normal routine so they feel as comfortable and loved as possible. I work Monday–Friday, but my schedule can be flexible at times. If you need pet care but aren’t sure whether my schedule will fit your needs, feel free to message me! I’m always happy to help whenever I’m able. I have a fenced in yard and two friendly pups. I crate trained both of my dogs while they were potty training, so I also have a large crate available if that fits your pet’s needs.

Andrea is an amazing dog sitter! Our 2 Rottweiler pups had an absolute wonderful time with her. Once we saw the initial connection, sensed her love for animals, and received the updates with pics, we were able to take our trip with complete peace of mind. That is priceless!! Thank you so much, Andrea!

Alex and her husband were awesome from when we did a meet and greet, to dropping off and picking up Tobias. My wife and I were really nervous about leaving our 'son' with another family for a few days, but Alex updated us daily which included pictures! Tobias looked extremely comfortable and well taken care of the day we picked him up! My wife and I would not hesitate to rebook with her and we highly recommend having her watch your fur babies!

Could not recommend her enough! Claudia was communicative, updated me on how my pup was doing multiple times throughout the day, sent me many pics/vids showing me he was having a great time. And when I picked him up, he was a tired HAPPY pup. I will certainly be booking again!

Heather was absolutely amazing! We boarded our dog with her while we were out of town and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She was communicative, caring, and treated our pup like her own. We came home to one happy dog and will definitely be booking with Heather again!

Rebecca and James & family are so caring and took wonderful care of our pet Rani. They have been flexible with the pick up and drop off as well which has been great. They keep us updated with pictures which my family love!! We can trust Rani is in great hands in a home away from home, when we book with them. Glad to have found them for our family.

Barkley loves spending time with Meredith, Darren and Koda! The home is super clean, the backyard is a hit for Barkley to be able to run around with Koda and photos are send daily of Barkley's time there. I feel 100% comfortable with Barkley in their care when we are away.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
