“Great stay overall. Our dog is very well behaved and was doing very well living in the house. Then we got a call from the sitter's neighbor that found her roaming around the neighborhood (had my phone on the collar). Looks like she left the house while nobody was in. Apart from that, a great and welcoming host and a beautiful countryside.”

“Fantastic sitter! Mary was kind, and professional. She kept us posted every day and sent us daily pics. My dogs seemed very happy and comfortable around her. Highly recommend!”

“Maureen is such a vibe! She exudes very good energy. You can tell she loves to take care of dogs! She took such good care of my boy. She sent pictures twice a day every day and gave me an update of how my pup was doing. I would highly recommend her for your dog sitting needs. Worth every penny! We'll definitely use her again in the future!”

“From our meet and greet, it was easy to see how wonderful Samantha would be with Rylee! She took the time to get to know Rylee and us. We had no apprehension about leaving Rylee with her. Samantha sent pictures and updates daily and Rylee had the best time! Samantha will definitely be our go-to sitter for Rylee!”
“Marianne saved us! Options are limited when you have a new puppy and need to travel. We came to the area to attend a wedding and Marianne took our new puppy for the weekend. She sent photos and videos and was so helpful not only with the dog, but knowing where to go for all kinds of things. She was patient with him. Our puppy had fun playing with her dogs. We are grateful for this service and for Marianne's kind and dedicated care. Having never left a dog with anyone, I felt completely at ease in Marianne's care.”

“Taylor and her family were very welcoming. They took Bear (Rottweiler 90lbs) in as one of their own. He was a happy dog at drop off and a happy dog at pickup. I’ll be definitely use Taylor again to care for Bear while I’m away.”

“Gloria was wonderful with our senior dog. She is warm and friendly and very caring to my furbaby sending multiple photos during her stay. Highly recommend and will book with her again!”

“Olivia was great, I left my miniature schnauzer with her for a week. She sent pictures every day of her where she looked like she was having a great time with her two small dogs. I would definitely recommend Olivia to take care of your pets, she did an awesome job.”

About: I have been watching dogs for most of my life. i’ve watched many breeds for weeks at a time for friends and enjoyed every second. I grew up raising dachshunds as a young kid and i enjoy having a companion to care for and play with! I am stationed in Fort Benning, GA and i work Monday-Friday from 8AM-4PM. i am gone most of the day but i have a consistent work schedule. On occasion, i will travel out of town, but i will make sure my availability shows the days i am not at home. I have a fenced in back yard with plenty of space to run and play. There aren’t any dogs around me to pester or threaten any dog that’s near my house. i am able to crate anytime i need as well. i live in a very quiet neighborhood (on a dead end road) so i rarely see cars drive by. i walk and run on my road everyday by myself and am more than willing to walk dogs with me as well.
“Debbie was great....she gave us regular updates on Roodles. She took very care of our dog....we were very impressed. She even had a meet and greet in the beginning to meet roodles....we felt very comfortable leaving Roodles with her. Our dog is scared of fireworks and Debbie comforted her and got her through it on NY eve”

“Tinkie had the best vacation here! Friendly playmates and lovely family who gave her undivided attention. She came home happy and relaxed. Anna sent constant updates and photos. 100% will use Anna for all future sits💕.”

“Took great care of my cats for a long time for our first move in the army. She helped me feel at ease that my cats were safe while we figured out housing. I am super pleased and highly recommend her!”

“We were a little reluctant to leave Sophie and Lilah for a week while we were out of town. Thank goodness we found Robin, she took great care of our girls. She sent us pictures and videos everyday. In the pur daily pictures, our girls looked happy and even looked like they were smiling. It put our minds at ease and we could really relax knowing our pups were being well cared for. When we brought them home, they were exhausted from playing. We immediately booked another date with Robin. I highly recommend Robin if you need to board your pups. Great experience.”

“Jessica was great with our baby. We have never left her with anyone and we did not know what to expect but she sent us pictures and let us know what was going on. She answered the messages and kept us informed. She even gave our baby her special homemade food because she was not eating at first. I would definitely recommend her.”

“Marina was very quick to respond. We set a date so my family and Goma could meet with Marina, prior to the drop off date. It went really well. Communication with Marina was very good and she listed what we needed to bring when dropping Goma off for a 2 nites stay. Marina sent us pictures of Goma throughout the stay. Our family felt very happy to see Goma doing well with her! It was a warm knowing feeling they Goma was "in very good hands" Good job and we'll done! Thank you very much, Iinuma Family”

“We were looking for an option for dog boarding that wasn’t a kennel. I took our dog to meet Johnnica and her dogs to see if it would be a good fit. It felt like a great fit and our dog had a great weekend playing with her dogs and a couple other boarding dogs. I also appreciated the flexibility in coordinating drop off and pick up times. Kennels tend to have very restrictive hours for that and we didn’t want to have our dog stay an extra night away from us if it wasn’t necessary. While we were able to be there by 5pm she was flexible.”

“Brittany provided extra good care for Rory. She provided daily status updates and pictures to put our mind at ease. I would recommend this sitter to anyone with access to Fort Benning who needs someone to watch their pup!”

The median cost per night for pet boarding in Columbus is $35

As a pet mom who gets anxious about leaving my dog with other people, Andrea made the entire experience so easy. She and her family are incredibly kind, welcoming, and made both me and Luna feel comfortable from the start. She provides updates throughout the day, and replies back very quickly. I highly recommend Andrea!

Alex and her husband were awesome from when we did a meet and greet, to dropping off and picking up Tobias. My wife and I were really nervous about leaving our 'son' with another family for a few days, but Alex updated us daily which included pictures! Tobias looked extremely comfortable and well taken care of the day we picked him up! My wife and I would not hesitate to rebook with her and we highly recommend having her watch your fur babies!

Could not recommend her enough! Claudia was communicative, updated me on how my pup was doing multiple times throughout the day, sent me many pics/vids showing me he was having a great time. And when I picked him up, he was a tired HAPPY pup. I will certainly be booking again!

Heather was absolutely amazing! We boarded our dog with her while we were out of town and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. She was communicative, caring, and treated our pup like her own. We came home to one happy dog and will definitely be booking with Heather again!

Rebecca and James & family are so caring and took wonderful care of our pet Rani. They have been flexible with the pick up and drop off as well which has been great. They keep us updated with pictures which my family love!! We can trust Rani is in great hands in a home away from home, when we book with them. Glad to have found them for our family.

Barkley loves spending time with Meredith, Darren and Koda! The home is super clean, the backyard is a hit for Barkley to be able to run around with Koda and photos are send daily of Barkley's time there. I feel 100% comfortable with Barkley in their care when we are away.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
