“I got more than what I bargain for! I was only looking for a sitter for a quick trip over the weekend, and hoping that they would be patient enough with a dog which I just adopted from the shelter with who knows what trauma he had; I landed on a professional! This was my first experience and a pleasant one as well! FYI this is not a drop off service! I appreciated the time that Joshua took to ask me as much as I knew about my "new" dog. After a couple of minutes he says “he has dog in him", which for me meant that he accepts and was looking forward to getting to know him. Besides the basic questions, allergies, vet info and all, he genuinely asked about "my" concerns. I appreciated that. During my time away he volunteered updates on how my Buddy was doing, even had breathtaking photoshoot! Buddy was looking fierce and sexy! (see pics in album with red and blue collars : ) My greatest appreciation was the feedback when I returned. Buddy was at his best behavior and Joshua also shared his thoughts on Buddy's true potential. After sharing my habits at home with Buddy, as a professional trainer, Joshua pointed out the does and don'ts and why they were important which was very helpful! He shared commands and how to execute and reinforce them, and helpful items I could purchase to help with training at home. I won't write a book here, but to sum it all up, I won't turn anywhere else, Joshua is "my go to" for the future. Thank you Joshua!”

“Amazing time for our Husky Maddie when we were out of town. She looked so happy and well cared for. Emma sent photos and updates throughout the week. The house and fenced area was beyond perfect. Will definitely be using Emma for any upcoming vacations or just a day trip for Maddie!”

“Book with Megan - you'll be so glad you did! She took excellent care of my two pups and handled the "wild card" like a pro. Megan makes sure to communicate updates and ask questions without bombarding you with texts while you're trying to enjoy some time away. She follows owner instructions to the letter, even the weird and complicated ones. The pups came home exhausted (and less happy to see me than usual, which is a good sign!). Megan is the best Rover host we've used, and I will definitely request her the next time!”

“Susan was so good with Homer! From the initial meet and greet through the first time sitting. If Homer is happy, we are happy. Communicates very well and is understanding when our travel plans adjust.”

“Kristin was great with my dog Ernie. He had some anxiety issues and doesn't trust other people right away and she was able to work with him to overcome that. You can tell she cares and knows what she is doing. Highly recommend.”

“Riley was excellent in caring for my dog Champ! She kept me updated throughout the course of champs stay. I would definetly reccomend anyone looking for a kind and caring dog sitter to give Riley a try!”

“Carlie was awesome for our dog- he was happy and well cared for while we were away. Really appreciated the pictures Carlie sent us each day as a check in! Would highly recommend Carlie to others!”

“Shuga was very excited at the meet and greet. Glad we did that first to make us both more comfortable before the Vacay. Nancy's home is very pet friendly and u can tell she likes her guests. Good to see the pictures while I was gone. Shuga must have really enjoyed her pawsome new friends because she has rested a lot since she got home. I would recommend Nancy and I will use her again.”

About: I have experience with puppies and senior dogs. I have been caring for pets my entire life and have a lot of experience with dogs. I work from home and I’m available to give your pet the attention they deserve while you are away. My home can be their home away from home. I care for all visitors like they are my own and spend tons of quality time with them. I love to take walks and I include at least 2 20-minute walks for each day your pet stays with me.
“Jessica took amazing care of our Zoie. She was very pleasant to work and communicated with us frequently to give updates on Zoie and sent pictures as well. Would recommend.. She was awesome and sweet!”

“This was Lucy’s first stay at Michael’s oasis in the woods. First of all, he was a great communicator and could tell he loves dogs. Secondly, his set up rivals all dog boarding places. He has a beautiful piece of fenced in private property and 3 of his own super friendly dogs. I picked Lucy up today and she didn’t want to leave and now she’s been sleeping since she got home. I am so impressed by his attention to detail and his ability to treat my dog like his own. We will be back again!!”

“I am so incredibly happy that we booked with Rafael and his wife. They have provided the best care I have ever received through Rover. I received pictures for every walk of the day, sleepy pictures, and playing pictures. Updates while I was away and fast response anytime I reached out. Our dog got to play with their dog under their care as well and he seemed to feel right at home. My dog can be a little bit anxious when we leave him and it seemed like he felt so comfortable and loved while we were gone. Highly recommend their care, I know we will be booking again in the future!”

About: I grew up around animals and currently have chickens, goats, pigs, cats and dogs of my own... I'm currently pursuing dog training and behavioral work certifications and truly enjoy being around animals Aside from my own homestead chores and housesits from established repeat clients, this is mostly what I do. I work at a bagel shop 8-12 hours a week; it's minimally time consuming. Each family & animal has vastly different needs depending on the scenario so I make sure to abide by the directions provided by every owner on a case by case basis.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
