“Crissy was so amazing with Reese! This was our first time leaving our puppy with anyone and she felt right at home with Crissy. She sent me pics and updates each day, we are Crissy’s biggest fans and Reese’s new bff. ☺️ Thanks again!! We will call her again in the future.”

“Robin was exceptional with our pooch. She kept us updated when anything was going on. Followed directions to make sure her care was as good as her parents. I would definitely recommend Robin for any pet parent going out of town for an extended period. 5 Star 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟”

“This was my very first time using Rover. Upon meeting Melissa she was very kind. I explained to her about the needs of my Colby. She was very attentive and a great listener. She assured me that he would be fine in her care. During my 4 days away she sent photos which warmed my heart. Melissa followed instructions to perfection and when he returned to me it was as if I never left. He had no issues, exactly what I needed as a pickie dog owner. Melissa is very accommodating. I look forward to working with her again real soon and I believe Colby does too. Thanks Melissa for your professionalism and care for my Colby.”

“Our dog Spirit had a wonderful time with Cheryl and Gary they treated her just like she was theirs. They have a huge yard for plenty of exercise and play space. They were wonderful to work and communicate with. We will definitely call on them again.”

“Katie provided exceptional care for Yuma over the holiday weekend! I had complete peace of mind knowing he was in such loving and capable hands. Yuma was happy, well cared for, and clearly had an amazing time—especially with his new BFF, Louie! 🐾 I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and highly recommend Katie to anyone looking for outstanding care for their furry family member!”

“DeAnna was amazing! I had to go out of town for a funeral so my brain was elsewhere and she was so accommodating and friendly to work with. In fact, I neglected to bring something for my pup and she made it a non-issue which was life saving! She kept me up to date and was easy to communicate with. I’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

About: I’ve always been around animals and naturally treat pets like family. I’m patient, attentive, and good at reading animal behavior, especially with nervous, energetic, or stubborn pets lol. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, so I try to keep them comfortable, safe, and stress-free while their owners are away. I’m dependable with feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, playtime, cleanup, and giving pets attention instead of just “checking in and leaving.” I also know how important communication is, so I make sure owners stay updated with messages and pictures. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I’m used to being active throughout the day and handling responsibilities that require consistency and attention. I can work around feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, medication reminders, and playtime. I understand pets need stability and patience, especially when their owners are away, so I make sure they get attention, exercise, and care instead of just being left alone. I also try to stay flexible for last-minute needs when possible. Cats have their own quiet, separate space where they can feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed without needing to interact with dogs unless they’re comfortable doing so. I understand cats usually do best with calm environments, patience, and giving them space to adjust at their own pace. 🐱
“Amazing time for our Husky Maddie when we were out of town. She looked so happy and well cared for. Emma sent photos and updates throughout the week. The house and fenced area was beyond perfect. Will definitely be using Emma for any upcoming vacations or just a day trip for Maddie!”

“Susan was so good with Homer! From the initial meet and greet through the first time sitting. If Homer is happy, we are happy. Communicates very well and is understanding when our travel plans adjust.”

“Our pup was very well taken care of. She communicated regularly, send us photos and videos of playtime, and was able to drop him back off at our house after the visit, which worked great for us.”

“Charity is an excellent caregiver! Couldn't have asked for a better pet caretaker for my baby boy. With a complicated supplement program she handled it with ease. Compationate attention given to baby while I was away for weeks. I highly recommend Charity. I was able to be away stress free, getting daily updates, and pictures of my little man.”

“I left my dog bowls at home and she had some which was a life saver. She listened to all of my instructions and she responded very fast and sent pictures of Marley to me. I think I was more nervous than my Marley. Highly recommend and will use her in the future ?”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
