“Gabriel was amazing! Not only was she willing to take Cody last minute, but she did great considering that he’s a senior dog. She was very communicative and responsive. Very happy to have had an opportunity to work with her.”

“Charlie was very accommodating, I requested at the last minute (within an hour) if he could watch Apollo, and he was 100% accommodating. I will continue using him going forward”

“Serria was wonderful and took exceptional care of our baby girl. We were concerned about how Zhuri would do with other animals, especially cats, but she got along well with Serria’s two dogs and cat. Serria sent daily photos of Zhuri bonding and relaxing with her eldest dog. One picture showed Zhuri outside in her spacious, fenced yard, where they had plenty of room to run and play. It was clear Zhuri felt comfortable in her home. Serria cared for our sweet girl as if she were her own. She was kind, responsive, and made the entire experience stress-free. Zhuri was in excellent hands with someone who clearly loves animals, and we truly appreciated the care and attention she received. Highly recommend!”

“Jennifer was great!! She sent many pictures and videos during our dog Oliver’s stay with her. Oliver was happy when he got there and pretty sure he was sad to leave. Thanks for doing such a great job for taking care of our big puppy!!”

“Soel did a great job taking care of Mia. I chose him because he specializes in older and special needs dogs. He sent me pics and updates thoughout the day. She seems comfortable in his surroundings. I would utilize his services again!”

“Amanda was fantastic! We left Delta with her for a couple days while we went out of town and Amanda was great! She sent pictures and updates multiple times a day and was quick to respond to any questions we had. Delta was beyond happy to be there and would have stayed forever had we let her. Amanda even sent us home with some delicious home made treats too! Would highly recommend trusting Amanda with your furbaby!”
“This was my first time using the Rover app. I’m not sure what I was to expect but this Yeidysis made this a great experience. She was easy to work with, very responsive in communicating with me when I wanted to check on my dog and he came home just as cheerful and playful as the day I dropped him off. I look forward to working with her again for boarding my dog. 5 stars all the way!!”

“Amanda kept me up to date on Milo daily. She sent awesome photos. She has an amazing back yard that Milo loved. She was very detailed about Milos time with her. She is great with communication. She created a photo album of Milos photos for me to have. I did not worry about Milo I knew he was in great hands! Highly recommend Amanda!”

“Shannia took such wonderful care of our dog, Atlas, and we couldn't be more grateful! From the moment we met her, we knew Atlas was in caring and capable hands. She treated him like he was her own, and it gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. Shannia kept us updated throughout his stay, and it was clear that Atlas was happy, comfortable, and well cared for. When we picked him up, he was relaxed, healthy, and obviously had a great time. It's not easy to find someone you completely trust with your pet, but Shannia exceeded all of our expectations. We highly recommend Shannia to anyone looking for a dependable, compassionate, and attentive dog sitter. Atlas can't wait for his next stay!”

“Allisha and her family were the best when it came to caring for our pup. They cared for him like their own and it gave us peace of mind to know he was being well taken care of. My pup had so much fun with her kids and I received lots of great pics throughout his stay. I never had to worry. Would definitely recommend Allisha! Such a lifesaver.”

“Forrest was GREAT. My dog seemed to have some major separation anxiety during his stay, resulting in lots of accidents, but Forrest was so understanding and kind about all of it!”

“One of my dogs looked confused when it was time to go home, so I can tell they enjoyed their stay with Suzanne and her family. She was warm and inviting, and communicated the entire stay. I’m hoping her schedule allows for them to stay with her for future travels.”

“Iyana was so good to my Brownie. She shared constant updates on his progress. I can tell that she took very good care of him, he seemed so comfortable. This was also a last minute booking and she didn’t hesitate to accept. If I ever need care for my fur baby again, she will be 1st choice. Thank you!”

“Sarah was amazingly flexible and kind. She is the first sitter I used with Rover and provided a great experience. Sarah sent pictures and answered all my questions. When I went to pick up my baby she 😩 barked at me and went back to Sarah before coming to me. THATS AMAZING!!! This speaks volumes of how much fun she had with Sarah. Definitely book with her!”

“Eduardo was great with Ronnie. He really loves animals and went above and beyond to take care of him. He’s also very accommodating with the logistics of drop off and pick up.”

“Elisabeth R was excellent! She cared for my boys with love and excellence. She sent me updates daily. She is so easy to communicate with through their stay. You won’t regret booking with her.”

“This was my first time leaving my pup with a sitter & I wouldn’t hesitate to book with Candace again. She answered all questions I had and seems to really care about the pets in her care. She did an awesome job with providing updates and photos throughout his stay. Thanks again!”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
