“Karen was outstanding! Our 8 year old black lab mix had never been away from home. Karen, her husband and their dog Maggie made Emmy feel right at home from day one. Our shy dog responded so well to their love and care. And, Karen sent photos and videos with reports about Emmy every day! I now call Karen my personal “dog whisperer”! We no longer worry about missing out on travel opportunities because we have to stay home with our dog.”
“Jennie kept my 2 pups for a week. Both pups were happy at her home and obviously were well taken care of and enjoyed their stay! I will definitely use her next time I go out of town!”

“Elizabeth was AMAZING! I could tell my baby was loved and well taken care of! She kept us updated with lots of pictures and was very attentive to all of Princes needs. We would definitely use her again in the future and recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable sitter for their fur baby.”

“Amanda was attentive to my dogs special needs. Regularly communicating my pets eating, playing, and sleeping habits. Flexible scheduling was appreciated. The last minute accommodation made my travel possible. Would definitely use her services again.”

“Bunny is so great, i know i won’t be able to adequately articulate how amazing she was. Lola is an anxious queen so I always worry about leaving her but I felt completely comfortable leaving her in bunny’s care. She sent pictures, videos, updates, and communicated everything so clearly. Very attentive! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fabulous sitter!”

“Megha is so caring and loves on my Everly. We have boarded with her many times and Everly loves spending time with Megha and her husband. Love getting the photo updates of Everly sleeping, soaking up sun outside and playing.”

“Gabby took great care of my little guy Remy for the weekend! She walked him, played with him, and sent videos every day. I will definitely be reaching back out to her to watch my little guy in the future. Thank you Gabby!”

“Elisabeth and Forrest are amazing! From the moment I brought Pixie over for a meet-and-greet, I could feel the positive energy in their home and knew they would be a great fit for her. One of the biggest signs was Pixie’s behavior during our visit—rather than running to the nearest hiding spot, she came out of her carrier, explored the house, and plopped down on the floor as if she were already at home. During Pixie’s stay, she unexpectedly developed conjunctivitis and needed an emergency vet visit. Elisabeth and Forrest handled the situation quickly, professionally, and with genuine care. They kept me informed every step of the way, which gave me tremendous peace of mind while I was away. By the time I picked Pixie up, her eye was almost completely healed. This was my first time using Rover and my first time leaving Pixie with a sitter, so I was naturally a little nervous. Despite the unexpected health issue, I truly believe Pixie enjoyed her stay and was well cared for. I highly recommend Elisabeth and Forrest and would absolutely trust them with Pixie again.”

“My dog Paris seemed very happy in Ms Lori P.’s care. She shared a picture and gave me updates. She also was quick to ask me questions about Paris’ behaviors. I really appreciate her doing that.”

“I was a bit nervous about leaving my dogs with a sitter for the first time, but Melissa, and Chika completely put my mind at ease. She was reliable, and clearly loved animals. I got updates and pictures of my dogs every day, they were happy and healthy when I got back, I'll definitely be using, Melissa again in the future”

“What a wonderful dog sitter& wonderful experience for my girl Gracie ! Daniela, was so responsive, attentive and conscientious - I have a traumatized rescue, so over worry when it comes to leaving her with anyone. Daniela was willing and able to, so graciously, go the extra mile to ensure all went perfectly on our first visit! Hoping for a long friendship w my dog and hers:). As a bonus, Daniela has a wonderful, spacious and safe back yard. We plan to be frequently returning clients and would highly recommend to others!”

“Russell was excellent with our fur baby. My dog has high energy. She is a very sharp girl but likes to jump and pull. After a few days with Russell she was listening much better. He even gave me a few tips. He also provided me with information of when she ate and pooped when I picked up. I will definitely rebook with him.”

“My babies love staying with her. She takes such great care and attention to their needs. She keeps in touch and sends me all the cutest pictures. Thank you as always!”

“One of our best Rover experiences. From the initial meetup through pickup, we felt completely at ease and confident our dog was in great hands. Communication was excellent, and it was clear our dog was well cared for and happy. We would absolutely book again and highly recommend.”

“They took such amazing care of my pup!! They were excellent about communication, sending pictures, and really treated her as their own. Would definitely recommend and will surely use them next time!”

“My cat had a great time with Terry and was very relaxed during his stay. Terry sent so many photos and videos during his stay and I could tell he was well cared for. I would 100% book with Terry again.”

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
