“Our cat Maslow was very well cared for during his stay, and I really appreciated the updates, communication, and attention given throughout the visit. It was clear he was comfortable and in good hands the entire time. Thank you for being reliable, attentive, and making the experience stress-free. I would absolutely book again and highly recommend to anyone looking for quality care for their pet. :)”

“Maceo is fabulous! He sent lots of photos of my pups having a BLAST! Maceo is knowledgeable about dogs so I felt very comfortable with him and that he could manage my energetic pup! Will definitely book again!”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brittany K. was amazing! She was available to watch Rocco over the busy 4th of July holiday, which we really appreciated. She kept us informed throughout his stay, sent plenty of pictures and updates, and made us feel comfortable every step of the way. This was our first time using Rover and Rocco’s first time staying with someone outside our home, so we were naturally a little nervous. Brittany made the entire experience easy and stress-free. We could tell Rocco was well cared for and happy. We will definitely be using her again. Highly recommend!”

“Denise was amazing and took great care of our dog. He’s never been boarded before or away from family so we were nervous he’d be stressed out. Denise sent pictures everyday of him having so much fun. We will definitely use her again for our next trip.”

“Amy was great! Our boy got 1 on 1 attention and seemed very happy when we picked him up. We got lots of picture and video updates throughout his stay. Amy's house is very nice for pet sitting, with a nice yard and very clean. We loved having Leo stay here, and will definitely book with Amy again!”

“Emily I can’t say enough good things about you. Thank you thank you for your understanding and patience. You were willing to wait on me with no issues at all. The pictures and videos are always welcomed and thankful. You Rock! Second stay and we will see you in a couple.”

“This was my first time using Rover and leaving my fur baby to a complete stranger. Rover provided information about the sittier that relieved some of my anxiety. Robin was a life saver. She was able to board Noah with short notice. She took great care of my fur baby”

“Andrew and Tenyia were amazing to work with. Quick to respond, sent plenty of pictures and videos of Bailey having a blast with their two dogs, and when my flight was delayed they were very accommodating on me arriving late. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for someone to care for their pet.”

“I was a little reluctant leaving our boy with anyone. LaShanna and her family did an amazing job caring for Miko. We received many pictures and videos which helped to reassure us that he was being cared for perfectly! She was excellent at making sure Miko received his medicine each day and letting us know. I will use LaShannah again without hesitation.”

“Jennifer is hands downs one of the best sitters we have found on Rover! She’s great at keeping you well informed with your pet while you are away. Jennifer is also very thorough with how she cares for your pet and try’s to keep your pet on a similar routine as if they were home. Our dog definitely enjoyed his time with her and her family.”

“Julie was great. My dog Mason was very happy and comfortable with her. I received updates regularly and loved the video of the dogs playing together. She is definitely a great selection for boarding your pet. Our dog was on vacation for the two days he stayed at her home. Thank you again, Julie, for taking great care of my baby.”

“Rebecca was a great sitter for my dog Barney and will definitely use her again. I had a last minute weekend request and Rebecca responded extremely quickly, answering questions I had and even providing a photo of her fenced yard before booking. While Barney was staying with her I got lots of updates and photos/videos of his time there. He settled in quickly with her beautiful dog Moose and it seemed like they had lots of fun!”

“Lori was great with our Mingi. I could definitely tell he was loved. It made my trip better to know he was in good hands. She communicated well and sent lots of pictures. I highly recommend Lori! Thank you Lori for taking such good care of my baby!”

“Jessica was so attentive with my fur baby. She kept me updated on how he was adjusting and sent lots of pictures and videos. I will be using her again. Thank you Jessica”

“Tammie was such a wonderful petsitter for our little dog, Penny. It was Penny's first time staying with someone and I didn't know how she would do. Tammie was great in sending updates, videos, and images and it was obvious Penny loved her weekend "vacation". We were grateful with the level of care and kindness Tammie showed us and would definitely book with her again. Thanks Tammie! You're the best!”

“Mrs. Janet was wonderful to work with. Richie enjoyed his time with her. She kept me informed about how he was doing. She loved on Richie as if he were her own. I will be using Janet C again.”

“Naomi took very good care of my baby even with it being last minute booking. She even catered to him to be sure he didn’t have any anxiety and provided updates and pictures while I was away. I will definitely book again! Thank you Naomi!!”

“Gianni and his family were great and welcoming to my pup who needed extra medical care. He took the time to hear out all of Kara’s quirks and habits. Fast response times and kept me updated with pictures. It was our first time ever having our pup stay with someone outside of family. And seeing how much he loves on his own pets made me feel a lot more confident leaving my baby to join another family for a few days.”

Lauren was amazing!! She treated our little yorkie as one of her own❤️ And her daughter was the perfect snuggle buddy for him, while we were away. I can always tell how much he was loved, by how well he transitions back into his normal life, and it’s been flawless. We’ll definitely use her again!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in GA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
