Information Lucy S. would like to know about your pet
Gaining your furry friends' trust is the most importantpart of my job. I would prefer to have as much information about their personality as possible, such as anxiety or aggression triggers, gender preferences, and what behaviors are normal vs not (such as unusual anxiety or refusal to eat). I have no breed preferences, all are welcome.
A typical day
I will always take the time to ask what your baby loves to do or where they love to go on walks. From fetch to roughousing, every pet should get to participate in their favorite activities, even while parents are away!

Pet care experience
Homegrown right here in Columbus, I have spent my life learning and growing into the skilled, professional care provider I am today. I am here to handle whatever your pet may throw at me during walks, day visits, and overnights! I am comfortable and capable of caring for all breeds, sizes, and temperaments. I serve Columbus, Fort Benning, Phenix City and the surrounding areas. PLEASE NOTE: There will be an additional charge of $10 per same-day request and next-day requests made after 5pm. This only applies once to each booking, not each visit/dropin/walk. A meet and greet is required before all first bookings. Inside/outside cats will be kept inside during bookings. A minimum of 3 dropins/walks per day is required for homes without doggy doors. Services And Training: I am prepared to oversee pet health maintenance, administer medication, and house train as needed. Working with animals has always been a significant part of my life. I began caring for my neighbors' pets as a young teen and simply never stopped loving the work! My time at a boarding, daycare, and grooming kennel was cut short by the pandemic. This brought me here, to work with you in your home, committed to the goal of giving your pets the best experience possible. Taking time to learn the personality and individual needs of each furry family member (ex: dietary restrictions, training goals, anxiety triggers and support, maintaining safe distance from other canines during walks, etc.) allows for the building of strong professional relationships with owners, as well as meaningful connections with the animals in my care. I am capable of administering medication as needed. This includes: pills with or without food, eye drops, syringe, etc. Injections (such as insulin) are possible with proper preparation and communication. Picture updates during care are guaranteed. Ask me about: ☆ bathing your pet in your home ☆ nail trims in your home ☆ poop scooping your yard ☆ leash training ☆ hour-long visits/walks ☆ puppy care ☆ geriatric/medically fragile pet care ☆ your daily update schedule for housesitting (1/day, 2/day, every other day for longer stays, etc.) My schedule is constantly evolving to meet your and your furry family members' needs. Please state any specific time requirements clearly as they pertain to medications or important meal times.

Reviews

Leaving my dog for the first time was something I was incredibly nervous about. He has always stayed with family, and the one time I boarded him before, he really struggled. So leaving him at home for 6 days and trusting someone new to care for both him and my cat was a huge step for me. Lucy was wonderful and took excellent care of my babies. She stayed overnight the first night and then came by consistently throughout each day to check on them, give medications, take my dog on walks, and even brushed him. My cat is very shy and doesn’t come out for most people. Lucy worked gently to get him comfortable with her. By the last couple of days he was really coming around! Still keeping some distance, but her gentle persistence was working. It is obvious that Lucy cares about their comfort. I really appreciated the constant updates and photos. They gave me so much peace of mind and allowed me to actually relax while I was away. My dog was so much happier being able to stay in his own home, and my cat also did much better having his bestie there and someone coming in regularly. I truly could not have asked for a better first time experience. I highly recommend Lucy and will absolutely use her again in the future.
