“Anjolie is an extremely professional and trustworthy pet sitter. She responds immediately to any messages and took great care of our two cats and a fish. If we go away again in the future, we'll definitely be contacting her again!”

“Thanks so much to Alexandra for doing such a great job with Punk'n during his drop in. He was very relaxed and happy and when u got home and I know he had fun during the visit. I love the pictures and the feedback you have on his visit.”

“Linda is amazing! We use her services every time we go out of town, and she takes great care of our five kitties! We love how she plays with them and sends us pictures!”

“Another great visit for a fur baby with Ms. Jill! I tried to tip more but the app cut me off. Rover needs to fix that for the fabulous folks that treat out babies like family.”

About: I grew up training puppy’s and always having a dog/cat in the home. I am a loving dog sitter and will give your dog the care they need! I am an early riser and love to go on walks so your furry friend will get great exercise!! I like schedules and routines, and my house is always very clean! I do not have any animals so there is no issue worrying if they will get along! I live in a very spacious apartment and absolutely love to go on walks!
“Taylor was amazing while we were away! She kept our two cats happy and well fed while we were out as well, it seems they had a great time and I would definitely consider her in the future!”

About: I have lots of experience caring for friends and family’s pets when needed. This includes walking, playing, feeding, washing and staying with overnight! I aim to make the experience as perfect for the animal and owner as possible! I am currently a student at Auburn University but have a very flexible schedule. I am free all day Monday, Wednesday and Friday as well as weekends! Tuesdays and Thursdays I can check in with an animal before 11am and after 3pm! I currently live in a 3 person house with plenty of side walk trails for walking. I live with two friends who also have pet watching experience so this wouldn’t pose an issue! I do not own a crate or dog bed here so that would be the only barrier if boarding was needed unless you could provide those for temporary use!

About: I’ve taken care of all types of dogs and cats from high school throughout college. I love spending time with animals so your pets will have safe and loving experiences each day! I am currently working in a research lab over the summer, but I am very flexible. I will be completely available on the weekends to look after your fur babies! I live in a small apartment, so I will not be able to board pets. However, I am right next to Auburn University's main campus. Plenty of long walks to be had!
“Abigail was great! She was an excellent communicator and made me feel comfortable that our pups were cared for while we were away. Definitely recommend booking with her!”

“Anna did a wonderful job taking care of my pet. She was always on time, very professional, and made sure my pet received their medical pills as needed. It gave me great peace of mind knowing my pet was in such reliable and caring hands. I truly appreciate her help and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter.”

“Renee is an absolute angel and I have nothing but amazing things to say about her. She goes above and beyond to take care of our cats while we’re away and sends so many photos and videos while she’s there. She even did things we didn’t ask her to do (getting mail, taking out trash, cleaning up cat throw up, etc)!!! We could truly enjoy our trip knowing that Renee had our fur babies happy and healthy at home 🤍”

About: I have been around dogs and cats since I was born. I have taken care of my 4 household dogs (2 labs and 2 chihuahuas) and one cat since I was 10. I have always been the pet sitter and walker for my mom, sister, grandma, and aunt when they needed one! Right after I moved out I adopted a miniature dachshund of my own! I am currently a 5th year architecture student! I only have classes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons. Tuesdays and Thursdays are completely free, so I have plenty of available time to tend to and love on your pets throughout the day. I also have open availability most weekends! I am able to feed, play with, walk, bathe, and check up on your dog! I also would love to update you with pictures throughout my visit or walk with your pet, my phone is full of animal photos!

Kailyn was wonderful with my cats. I was nervous about letting someone else take care of them, but she came by the week before my trip to meet them, sent plenty of photos, and spent time playing with them. She respected my oldest cat’s no-pet boundary while still including her through parallel play. She was also very patient and kind when there was an issue with the key. I would absolutely book her again!

Because of a family trip, we had to find someone to care for our cats on short notice. Nikita responded incredibly quickly and handled everything we asked for in a very professional manner. She also always left us photos of our cats during each visit, which gave us great peace of mind. Most importantly, she treated our cats like family, and our cats absolutely loved her visits. If we travel again in the future, we will definitely be reaching out to Nikita without any hesitation.

Alana is absolutely amazing! This is the third time she has watched my cat, Cypher, and I couldn’t be happier with her care. Cypher absolutely adores her, and it’s clear how attentive, patient, and caring she is with her. It’s such a relief knowing my pet is in the best hands while I’m away. I highly recommend Alana to anyone looking for a trustworthy and truly wonderful pet sitter! 🐾💛

Cat sitters on Rover care for your cats’ needs and can spend quality time with them, including activities like feeding, playing, and refreshing their water and litter boxes. Depending on your arrangement, you can schedule as many visits per day as your cat needs or find a sitter who can stay at your house overnight. Some sitters also board cats in their home.

Many pet parents provide a spare key or arrange a lockbox. You can also exchange keys during the Meet & Greet and show your walker how to use digital fobs or personalized codes. It helps to arrange access to your home, from spare keys to concierge introductions, before pet care begins.
If you live in an apartment or condo, don’t forget to discuss details like buzzer access, codes, or elevator etiquette. These details can help a pet sitter feel more comfortable going in and out of your building.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your cat, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Yes, you can find sitters who have experience with handling special pet needs in Auburn. On Rover:
- 100% of sitters can help with special care needs
- 100% can help with giving oral medications or injections
- 100% can help with daily exercise
You can also find pet sitters on Rover who accept only one pet at a time, which is ideal for anxious puppies, kittens, or senior pets who move at a gentler pace. Some sitters will also list availability for 24/7 care, also known as constant care, in their profiles.
Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
