We have had multiple dogs throughout our lives and have taken care of lots of dogs of all kinds for our friends. My wife and I own Heritage House, a boutique bed & breakfast and event venue in Opelika. We live on site in a separate, private residence. This is our full time job so at least one of us would pretty much always be around while hosting your dog. Our living space is on a second floor so your dog must be able to navigate stairs OR be a small enough dog that we can easily carry them up and down safely. We only care for one dog at a time (or two dogs from the same house) and we have no other animals in the house so your pup(s) will have our full attention. We don't typically book stays for further than 4 or so months out simply because we aren't sure of our personal and work schedules that far in advance. We have a small fenced section of the property for letting your dog out on short breaks and would also be taking lots of walks, as needed, around our very safe neighborhood. We are flexible based on your dog's needs and could do crating if necessary, but we prefer to let well behaved, house trained pups run free in the house.
About: I have two dogs of my own, and been around dogs my entire life. Have dog sat for family and co-workers before. New to Rover, but would treat your four legged best friend like it was my own pet! I am new to the Opelika area and between jobs. Currently, I have lots of flexibility with my schedule and can make any day of the week work. I do have two dogs of my own at home, that I would need to make sure are taken care of , but currently can make any day or time of day work for your animals schedule. I will gladly follow any rules or guidelines you have set for your fur baby so they can continue their routine when you are not home. If they need to go on walks, or just play in the backyard!
About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was 8 years old. Specifically, cats and dogs. I have lots of experience with larger dogs like German Shepards and pit bulls as well as smaller dogs like Boston terriers. I am a graduate student at Auburn and I work from home a few days a week. I live near the university which is convenient. I love playing with dogs and cats and giving them the playtime and attention that they need. I grew up with very hyperactive animals so I would love to pet sit or walk your dog!

About: I have taken care of dogs since for around 8 years. I started before I could drive and I would walk over to my neighbors house and feed/ play with their dogs while they were out of town. About: Over the past 15 years, I have cared for both small and large dogs (baby, young, adult and elderly) and have been with Rover since 2018. I have done overnight stays with 1-2 dogs at a time, as well as housing a golden retriever in my home and caring for him for two weeks while his owners were on vacation. I am very active and would enjoy walking or running with your dog, tossing a ball or playing fetch. I am also outgoing and love animals (especially dogs!!!) and want your dog to enjoy his/her time with me as much as I enjoy my time with them! I am also happy to do drop in visits, and can document the process on video so you know your dog and home are safe! I’m currently working full time during the week, but come home for an hour at lunch. Weekends are free and I spend lots of time playing with my (and your) pup! Lee have a fenced area outside to go to the bathroom and a great neighborhood to go on walks in. My dog loves all other pups and they will be sure to have the best time together!

About: I have been around pets my whole life. I love taking care of animals and would treat your pets like they were my very own! I currently work as a registered nurse three 12-hour night shifts per week at East Alabama Health. This gives me plenty of availability throughout the rest of the week to care for your pets and give them lots of attention! My schedule varies from week to week, so I’m happy to coordinate with you and find days and times that work best for you:) Whether I’m caring for your pet in my home or yours, my goal is to make them feel as comfortable and loved as possible while keeping their normal routine! About: I’ve had a variety of animals growing up. There was never a time in my household where i did not have a pet. I am great with animals, they seem to love me as much as I do them! I attend Auburn university. I usually have 1-3 classes a day, but I am done by 12pm. I am available between 12-6! What better way to spend my free time! I have a strong love for animals. I am very passionate about them. If i were to watch your fur baby, I would play with them, make sure they eat well, take them out for fresh air! I even turn on cartoons that they can see the colors with!
