About: We recently had to say goodbye to our elderly dog and while we aren't ready to find a new four-legged friend we want to take care of yours! We have had multiple dogs throughout our lives and have taken care of lots of dogs of all kinds for our friends. My wife and I own Heritage House, a boutique bed & breakfast and event venue in Opelika. We live on site in a separate, private residence. This is our full time job so at least one of us would pretty much always be around while hosting your dog. Our living space is on a second floor so your dog must be able to navigate stairs OR be a small enough dog that we can easily carry them up and down safely. We only care for one dog at a time (or two dogs from the same house) and we have no other animals in the house so your pup(s) will have our full attention. We don't typically book stays for further than 4 or so months out simply because we aren't sure of our personal and work schedules that far in advance. We have a small fenced section of the property for letting your dog out on short breaks and would also be taking lots of walks, as needed, around our very safe neighborhood. We are flexible based on your dog's needs and could do crating if necessary, but we prefer to let well behaved, house trained pups run free in the house.

About: I have taken care of dogs since for around 8 years. I started before I could drive and I would walk over to my neighbors house and feed/ play with their dogs while they were out of town. I have still continued to dog sit every once in a while when I am needed. I am a college student at Auburn University. I am also from Opelika so everyone that I have been dog sitting for in high school, I am still able to help out today. My schedule for next semester is very open and not too busy. I am also available over summer as well. I do have a goldendoodle at my parents house. She is 5 years old and loves playing with other dogs. I work M-F at an office job with flexibility. This allows me lots of freedom, my kids are 19, and 21 so no restrictions at home. I do work M-F, 8-5pm. I can leave work if need be to check on your pet more often then just the walk, and of course if I'm staying the night; I’ll be right over after work. I have senior experience with dogs and am able to administer medication. A lot of my pets have had complex medical problems, so i am used to helping any baby out with whatever he/she needs. About: Over the past 15 years, I have cared for both small and large dogs (baby, young, adult and elderly) and have been with Rover since 2018. I have done overnight stays with 1-2 dogs at a time, as well as housing a golden retriever in my home and caring for him for two weeks while his owners were on vacation. I am very active and would enjoy walking or running with your dog, tossing a ball or playing fetch. I am also outgoing and love animals (especially dogs!!!) and want your dog to enjoy his/her time with me as much as I enjoy my time with them! About: This is my job. I know how hard it can be to leave your fur babies when you go outta town and I want to be able to provide comfort and care for your animals while you are gone. I don’t like to leave my baby for more than 4-5 hours max. That’s why I offer going to drop in 3 times. I don’t mind traveling to make sure your fur baby is taken care of throughout the day. I can take your fur baby walking giving them water and some love. If you have a fenced in yard I will still go and watch them outside you never know what could happen. I will update you as much as you would like.

About: I am a freshman majoring in Pre-Vet so I am very familiar with animals especially dogs. I grew up with dogs, have a dog of my own at home, sitting, walking, training, puppies, etc. I am currently a freshman student at Auburn but my school schedule is very flexible and I have many gaps throughout my days. About: I’ve been a “dog person” (personally & now professionally) all my life, and have experience with big and small pups of all breeds, ages, and energy levels. I work at the vet school and have lots of home/yard space, time, and a social dog of my own that would happily welcome your fur baby! On weekdays, I either wfh or go into the office just 5mins away, so I’m always able to come home midday for potty breaks. I’m an active dog mom & love to walk around the neighborhood or nearby trails, but also have a large private fenced yard and a million toys if your dog prefers to get exercise that way. I also love & welcome the couch potatoes - all furniture is open for lounging and cuddles. I have been fostering & training dogs for the last 15 years and have basic medical training - so if your pup has any special considerations just reach out to discuss! My life pretty much revolves around my own dog, with a regular feeding/potty/play/lounging schedule, so guests would fit right into that routine. My schedule is very flexible & pups are never left alone for more than a few hours at a time. I have a fenced in yard with plenty of space to zoom and sniff around. I have a ~2yr old mixed breed dog (Mac) who is extremely social and loves making people/dog friends. He is playful, but often goes to dog parks and seems to adapt to whatever energy level the other dogs are, so he’s adaptable & loves chill time just the same.
