About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats since I was 8 years old and truly love making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I have experience caring for multiple pets at once, including managing complex feeding schedules and multi-pet households. I’m especially comfortable with senior pet care. My own dog who passed in July 2026 was quite elderly, so I have hands-on experience administering oral medications, injections, and fluids, as well as providing the extra patience and attention older pets need. I also understand the importance of respecting your home and keeping things clean and consistent with your normal routine while house sitting. With my hybrid work schedule, I have the flexibility to stop in during the workday for potty breaks, walks, medications, check-ins, and extra cuddles. I have a hybrid work schedule, so I am able to be home to ensure your pet is being taken care of throughout the day. I’m happy to walk and watch pets in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings in addition to spending time with your companion throughout the weekend! I am also more than happy to do meet and greets to make sure my schedule fits your expectations with the care you are looking for. Happy to help crate train your pup and make sure they’re comfortable and secure. My own dog got spooked easily during thunderstorms as well as when people she was unfamiliar with came in, so I always am careful to make sure likeminded pets are secure and safe as possible. I like to greet shy pets first with a little treat, slow movements, and a gentle voice so they can grow to trust and depend on me.

About: Growing up in a family-owned animal hospital, I developed a strong passion for animal care from an early age and gained hands-on experience working with a wide variety of species. I have personally cared for four dogs and a rabbit, giving me a deep understanding of daily pet care, responsibility, and animal behavior. In addition to personal experience, I worked as a Veterinary Assistant at an animal hospital and shelter throughout my senior year of high school and during my freshman and sophomore years of college. In this role, I assisted with patient care, monitored animals, maintained clean and safe environments, and supported veterinarians and staff with daily operations. I also volunteer at a horse ranch during my free time, where I assist with animal care and ranch responsibilities. My background has allowed me to become comfortable working with animals of all sizes and temperaments while developing strong compassion, communication, and caregiving skills. currently work from home, which allows me to have a flexible schedule and dedicate plenty of time to animal care and attention throughout the day. Pet care is naturally built into my daily routine, and I enjoy maintaining a structured schedule to ensure animals receive consistent care, exercise, and companionship. I have four personal dogs and regularly spend time finding new walking trails, parks, and outdoor areas to take my pack on adventures and exercise outings. Staying active with my dogs is something I genuinely enjoy and prioritize. Safety and trust are extremely important to me when caring for pets, whether in my own home or in a client’s home. Growing up in a family-owned animal hospital and working as a Veterinary Assistant taught me how to properly handle animals, recognize behavioral changes, and maintain clean, safe, and stress-free environments for pets of all sizes and temperaments. I am very organized and dependable, so I like to keep pets on their normal routines as much as possible, including feeding schedules, potty breaks, walks, medications, playtime, and rest. I also make sure pets always have fresh water, a clean environment, and plenty of attention and exercise throughout the day. Because I work from home, I have a flexible schedule and am able to provide consistent supervision, companionship, and care. I have four dogs of my own, so I understand the importance of patience, safety, and treating every animal like family. I also enjoy taking dogs on walks and exploring new trails and outdoor spaces to keep them active and engaged. About: I’ve taken care of animals since I was 8 years old. Specifically, cats and dogs. I have lots of experience with larger dogs like German Shepards and pit bulls as well as smaller dogs like Boston terriers. I am a graduate student at Auburn and I work from home a few days a week. I live near the university which is convenient. I love playing with dogs and cats and giving them the playtime and attention that they need. I grew up with very hyperactive animals so I would love to pet sit or walk your dog!

About: I have grown up with dogs my entire life as well as dog and cat sitting since I was 16 years old. I have helped potty train dogs as well as bird dog training. I own my own company and create my own hours so pet sitting fits perfectly with my schedule. I am able to sit whenever I want to and keep up with my own work. I live in an apartment where we have balconies that have locks and railings to keep animals safe as well as a fenced in dog park for any playtime activities. We also have a safe complex where we can do long walks. For safety purposes cats are not allowed on the balcony while with me. We also have doors with special codes so animals can not escape and doors at either of the hall where pets can not make it down the stairs on their own.

About: We recently had to say goodbye to our elderly dog and while we aren't ready to find a new four-legged friend we want to take care of yours! We have had multiple dogs throughout our lives and have taken care of lots of dogs of all kinds for our friends. My wife and I own Heritage House, a boutique bed & breakfast and event venue in Opelika. We live on site in a separate, private residence. This is our full time job so at least one of us would pretty much always be around while hosting your dog. Our living space is on a second floor so your dog must be able to navigate stairs OR be a small enough dog that we can easily carry them up and down safely. We only care for one dog at a time (or two dogs from the same house) and we have no other animals in the house so your pup(s) will have our full attention. We don't typically book stays for further than 4 or so months out simply because we aren't sure of our personal and work schedules that far in advance. We have a small fenced section of the property for letting your dog out on short breaks and would also be taking lots of walks, as needed, around our very safe neighborhood. We are flexible based on your dog's needs and could do crating if necessary, but we prefer to let well behaved, house trained pups run free in the house.

About: I’ve cared for my two family dogs, Adonis & Asha, since I was 13, gaining hands-on experience with daily routines like feeding, walking, bathing, and providing lots of love and attention. While I haven’t done professional pet sitting yet, I understand how important it is to treat pets like family. I make sure they’re fed on time, get plenty of playtime or walks, and have a clean space. I also pay close attention to any special instructions—whether it’s medications, quirks, or favorite toys. About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life. I’ve grown up with them, and now have 3 of my own! Size does not scare me at all, so I would love to watch your fur-baby! I have a very flexible and open schedule. My schedule changes weekly, but it is always open and flexible! I am never gone for more than 6 hours! I have a fenced in yard, and crating a dog is no problem! They are constantly being watched for their safety! I really just try to match the routine the dog has now, so when they meet someone new, they will still have a constant routine!

When we later brought home a puppy, I took on much of the responsibility for raising and caring for it. About: Hi! My name is Carli! I am a student at Auburn University, and I cannot wait to take care of your pets! I have been pet sitting for about 8 years now, and I absolutely love it! I have always been a HUGE pet lover since I was young. This is also due to the fact that I have never had less than 3 dogs and one cat in my household at all times; so it is safe to say I understand the responsibilities of taking care of animals! I do think I am a great fit for the job, and I cannot wait to give your pets all of the love and attention they deserve! I currently have a part-time job during the afternoon on Monday, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 3-7. My only full class days are Tuesday and Thursdays, but I am done by 4:00. So, I still have a flexible schedule in order to make your pets a priority! At my client’s home I promise to love on your babies and give them the attention they deserve! I will stay for as long as needed and follow instructions well!!

About: I have two dogs of my own, and been around dogs my entire life. Have dog sat for family and co-workers before. New to Rover, but would treat your four legged best friend like it was my own pet! I am new to the Opelika area and between jobs. Currently, I have lots of flexibility with my schedule and can make any day of the week work. I do have two dogs of my own at home, that I would need to make sure are taken care of , but currently can make any day or time of day work for your animals schedule. I will gladly follow any rules or guidelines you have set for your fur baby so they can continue their routine when you are not home. If they need to go on walks, or just play in the backyard!

About: I have been caring for pets my whole life. I've cared for all pets from dogs to reptiles. I have had many puppies and a few senior dogs as well. I am very knowledgeable about dog care. I have been a dog sitter several times for friends and family. My family consists of a dog, a cat, a leopard gecko, and two sweet guinea pigs! I have experience with all kinds of animals, including small animals and reptiles! I am a volunteer with Auburn University's Natural History Museum and handle and care for multiple different species of animals. I am a full-time college student studying wildlife ecology. Most of my classes are online, so my schedule is open most of the time! In my own home, I treat all my animals like they are my biological children (which they are). They are extremely spoiled, and I love them dearly. I would definitely extend this love towards a client's pet because I love animals, no matter the size or species!

About: It's fun side work for me! I'm an Ol' guy that is reliable and good with animals. I tend to take a lot of pictures and video to send to my clients. My availability, depending on location and time, is usually only in the evening due to work during the week. I try to keep my calendar up to date as possible to reflect immediate availability. For Dogs: Greet the pupper with a kind and calm voice. Grab the leash and waste bags and go on a walk! Refill food and water bowls if needed. Playtime if toys are available. Treats for being a good boy or girl! Lots of head rubs and ear scratches and kind words. For Cats: Greet the kitty with a kind and calm voice. About: I’ve had experience with dogs since I was 8 starting with my first ever dog Cupcake. Since then I have taken care of dogs of all sizes for neighbors and friends. I am very good with senior dogs, and energetic puppies alike! I love to learn how each dog’s personality shines. I am currently taking online college courses for the summer.
