Fast forward 9 months and we were hoping to get away for a last minute ski trip on New Year’s Day, but didn’t want to leave the dogs crated for so long, so I reached back out to Abby and with less than 24 hours notice, she made herself available to take care of the pups. She stopped by twice and gave us great updates while we were on the mountain. We couldn’t be more pleased with Abby. Highly recommend!!”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my whole life. I’ve grown up with them, and now have 3 of my own! Size does not scare me at all, so I would love to watch your fur-baby! I have a very flexible and open schedule. My schedule changes weekly, but it is always open and flexible! I am never gone for more than 6 hours! I have a fenced in yard, and crating a dog is no problem! They are constantly being watched for their safety! I really just try to match the routine the dog has now, so when they meet someone new, they will still have a constant routine!

About: I’ve been caring for dogs and cats since I was 8 years old and truly love making pets feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. I have experience caring for multiple pets at once, including managing complex feeding schedules and multi-pet households. I’m especially comfortable with senior pet care. My own dog who passed in July 2026 was quite elderly, so I have hands-on experience administering oral medications, injections, and fluids, as well as providing the extra patience and attention older pets need. I also understand the importance of respecting your home and keeping things clean and consistent with your normal routine while house sitting. With my hybrid work schedule, I have the flexibility to stop in during the workday for potty breaks, walks, medications, check-ins, and extra cuddles. My own dog got spooked easily during thunderstorms as well as when people she was unfamiliar with came in, so I always am careful to make sure likeminded pets are secure and safe as possible. I like to greet shy pets first with a little treat, slow movements, and a gentle voice so they can grow to trust and depend on me.

About: In high school, I worked locally as a dog daycare attendant, a pet boarding attendant, and a veterinary assistant, so I have plentiful experience working with dogs of different types and temperaments in professional settings. I frequently pet sit for family and friends, so I have experience in a less-formal setting too. I also have a pet cat, dog, and fish of my own. I am working part-time in a wildlife rehabilitation setting, so I am happy to fit dog walking and drop-in visits in my schedule when able. About: I have been caring for pets my whole life. I've cared for all pets from dogs to reptiles. I have had many puppies and a few senior dogs as well. I am very knowledgeable about dog care. I have been a dog sitter several times for friends and family. My family consists of a dog, a cat, a leopard gecko, and two sweet guinea pigs! I have experience with all kinds of animals, including small animals and reptiles! I am a volunteer with Auburn University's Natural History Museum and handle and care for multiple different species of animals. I am a full-time college student studying wildlife ecology. About: I’ve always loved animals and have experience caring for pets of my own as well as pets for friends and family. I care for him by feeding him his wet food and adding water so that he does not get dehydrated. I also make sure his paws stay clean by cleaning them once a week. About: I’ve grown up caring for animals all my life; cattle, dogs, cats, hedgehogs, and many more. I have experience in small dogs and large, specifically dachshunds and Siberian huskies/Malamutes, as I’ve grown up with those breeds since I was a toddler! My home is very assessable to those prone to IVDD as I currently have my Mini-Dachshund living with me. I know how to administer limited medications, pills and solution/liquid medications. I am also able to provide nail trimmings for dogs only, no additional charge; I can provide my own clean dremel/nail clippers. I’m also a very patient person, so new pets won’t be a problem. I have experience with dogs who experience anxiety/are skittish. And I am experienced with elderly pets! I’m currently working part-time as a pharmacy technician (1-3 days a week) and I am in school full-time. I am able to make time after and between classes to fit all the love and attention into the needs of pets. I live on the 3rd floor of an apartment complex, I’m happy to carry the smaller pets up stairs if they have trouble with stairs! I don’t necessarily have a fenced in yard, but we do have a fenced in area specifically for dogs, most people in the complex don’t use! I enjoy taking the dogs on walks either around campus or shorter walks around the complex/home, I’m very active if your pet needs mental stimulation I am perfect for that; if your pet is more of a calm and lazy animal I can also provide for them as well! I’ve been know to be a very organized person, so if your pet is on a specific schedule I can usually adapt to that schedule very quickly and efficiently whether that’s feeding, walking or medications.

About: I have two dogs of my own, and been around dogs my entire life. Have dog sat for family and co-workers before. New to Rover, but would treat your four legged best friend like it was my own pet! I am new to the Opelika area and between jobs. Currently, I have lots of flexibility with my schedule and can make any day of the week work. I do have two dogs of my own at home, that I would need to make sure are taken care of , but currently can make any day or time of day work for your animals schedule. I will gladly follow any rules or guidelines you have set for your fur baby so they can continue their routine when you are not home. If they need to go on walks, or just play in the backyard!

About: This is my job. I know how hard it can be to leave your fur babies when you go outta town and I want to be able to provide comfort and care for your animals while you are gone. I love and care for animals and their wellbeing. I believe finding someone good and kind for your fur babies matters. I make sure they get plenty of pets and attention. I don’t let their water run out and refill as much as possible especially during summer. I am understanding and patient with animals especially if they have high energy and need to be outside a bit more than others to get some exercise/ energy out. I care about animals period. I have a pretty big range of experience with different dogs. I’ve taken care of multiple dogs at a time different sizes and ages. I’ve taken care of a diabetic cat (my baby she lived a very long life 19 years) I have taken care of a diabetic dog also. I got a puppy 8-weeks who is now 5 years old which he is a husky so very energetic and talkative. Taken care of giving elderly dogs medicine. I communicate pretty well. I also make taking care of your fur babies a priority. Thank you for choosing me! I can house sit and stay overnights if needed. I will make taking care of your fur babies a priority and treat them as if their were mine. (I have a husky) If you do a drop in visit I will be there longer than just 30 minutes. I don’t like to leave my baby for more than 4-5 hours max. That’s why I offer going to drop in 3 times. I don’t mind traveling to make sure your fur baby is taken care of throughout the day. I can take your fur baby walking giving them water and some love. If you have a fenced in yard I will still go and watch them outside you never know what could happen. I will update you as much as you would like.

About: Was a human nurse, now I'm a full time student. I have raised two children and I own dog and two cats, caring is in my nature. I am a furgrandma to two beautiful amazing dogs. I work M-F at an office job with flexibility. This allows me lots of freedom, my kids are 19, and 21 so no restrictions at home. I do work M-F, 8-5pm. I can leave work if need be to check on your pet more often then just the walk, and of course if I'm staying the night; I’ll be right over after work. I will follow your instructions to the T, as long as it's safe for the animal and me! I want your furbaby to feel as comfortable as possible.

About: I have owned a variety of pets throughout my life. I have also fostered 10 dogs of all ages and helped find them forever homes. This past year, I worked as an animal placement specialist at my local shelter and placed hundreds of dogs and cats into their forever homes. About: I have always loved animals. I started walking my neighbors dog when I was 15. I have dog sat for many ranging from family, friends, neighbors, and mutuals. I am a recent Auburn grad and do not currently have a full time job. Not many jobs offer me a flexible schedule like this does and I am trying to save money and keep my self busy post-grad. I am always available unless otherwise noted on my calendar. I do not have a dog in Auburn, only when I travel to Foley to stay with family is there a dog in the house. I will abide by the owners preferences but I don’t promise I won’t fall in love with your dog. I love all shapes and sizes of dogs and will take care of them as they are my own.
