“Caylee did an awesome job taking care of our dog! She sent me updates, with pictures, everyday. When we arrived home my house was clean, tidy, and our dog was very happy. I would definitely recommend Caylee to anyone who needs a reliable pet sitter!!”

“Natalie was the best sitter for Lola! She was so sweet to house sit and keep Lola while we were out of the country. We plan on always using Natalie and we know you will love her as much as we do!”

“Hensley was wonderful with Harvey! She came over for a meet and greet beforehand to help Harvey get comfortable with her at the house and he had a wonderful time when she came over to watch him. She also came 30 mins early to accommodate an event that came up for us which was a huge help. We already have plans for her to watch him again!”

About: Growing up, our neighbors on our street all had animals that they would trust my family with taking care of while they were gone. Being older now, I still have the same love of taking care of animals whether it is my own dog and cat or other people’s! I understand how important it is to have someone trustworthy look after such an important part of your family and would love to be that person!! I’m a teacher so I get off work fairly early and have weekends off to help others who need it! Whether that is letting them out, taking them for a walk or feedings! I know animals prefer their own environment and would love to create a safe and trusting experience for them right inside your home to make them as comfortable as possible!
About: As an animal science major I have been around many animals, I love being around dogs and taking care of them. I have my own dog who is 5 years old she is a sensitive dog and has many allergy issues I have experience bathing and giving medication to her. I have plenty of time to play and care for your fur babies from walking to house/dog sitting I am available. I have a online class I attend Monday-Thursdays from 11am-2pm. I am free to work around that, or if you are looking for house sitting options I can watch your dog at your home anytime since my class is online over zoom. I provide care at the client's home, I usually follow the client's schedule for the care needed such as walks, feeding, playtime, medication, and bathing.
“Pretty sure my pets like Harris more than they like me now. Also my house was cleaner when I got home than when I left. She was truly incredible. 12/10 all around - will absolutely BEG her to come back next time we travel!”

About: I've had all types of pets growing up. Have even bottle-fed multiple litters of stray kittens! I'm very responsible and reliable, especially when it comes to taking care of someone’s animals! My schedule is typically pretty open! I part-time bartend so on my off days, I am available all day long! And on the days I go into work (depending on which shift I’m working), usually half of my day is wide open, as well! I am able to travel to your home and check on and/or walk/exercise your pet. I am also capable of house-sitting, if needed! We can discuss more specialized services you may be needing for your pet, as well (senior, special needs, etc).
“Sarah’s drop-in services were great! I came home to a happy and healthy pup after being gone for 7 days. Sarah met my dog, Halen, and I before the booking time. She sent me pictures of Halen and even texted me “Does Halen know how to run?” It is not easy to ask anyone to RUN with your dog, so this was a pleasant surprise. Sarah was great! I would totally suggest using her services.”

About: I’ve taken care of multiple different dogs over the last couple years! I’ve taken care of dogs for my friends, coworkers, family, and my parent’s coworkers/boss! I currently work 3 days a week, but I pick my own schedule and can let you know if I am available certain days! I am also a part-time student, I only have class 2 days a week! Mondays from 12:30-1:45 and Wednesdays from 12:30-3:15! I have a dog park at my apartment complex, but I also take my miniature dachshund to local dog parks or just for a daily walk! I love animals and my miniature dachshund loves to meet new friends! He is good with small and big dogs!
About: I’ve always loved animals and originally wanted to become a veterinarian growing up. Now, as a pre-nursing student at AU, I still love having the opportunity to care for others — especially animals. I grew up with a childhood dog that I was completely inseparable from. Even when I was little, I helped feed her, walk her, play with her, and even helped with training. Those experiences are a huge part of why I love pet care so much today. My family now has two dogs that we got while I was in high school, and I love visiting them every chance I get. I’m definitely the type of person who immediately gravitates toward the dog at any social gathering. I’ve been pet sitting and dog walking for friends, family, and neighbors since I was around 10 years old, and even more frequently once I started driving at 16. I’m very attentive to each pet’s individual needs, whether that means going on runs with high-energy dogs or taking slower walks and giving extra comfort and attention to more relaxed pets. My goal is always to make pets feel safe, happy, and so loved while their owners are away. I also worked on a ranch last summer where I cared for dogs, cats, horses, donkeys, chickens, and ducks, which gave me even more hands-on experience with a wide variety of animals and personalities. Although I didn’t grow up with cats, I’ve done plenty of cat sitting over the years and absolutely love them as well. I know every cat is different, and I’m always patient and attentive to their routines and comfort level. Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine. I work a 9–5 job during the week, but I have an hour lunch break that gives me flexibility for walks, check-ins, or midday care. I also usually go on a run in the mornings and take walks after work or after dinner, so I’m very used to staying active and would love bringing a dog along if they enjoy extra exercise. On weekends, I’m available all day and have a much more flexible schedule for walks, drop-ins, playtime, or overnight care. I live in a two-level apartment/townhouse with plenty of space for pets to be comfortable and move around. There’s grass right outside for easy bathroom breaks and walks, plus a balcony and a dog park within my apartment complex for extra exercise and playtime. I keep a clean, safe, and calm environment and always make sure pets are supervised, comfortable, and sticking to their normal routines as much as possible. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m very respectful of both the home and the pet’s routine. I know consistency is important for animals, so I always try to keep them comfortable by following feeding schedules, walk routines, and any specific instructions closely.

I am available every day for petsitting as I only have online classes to handle. I am available weekends however for holidays it may change in the future I can offer a range of services such as daily checkups, walks, feeding, housesitting, medication, playing, etc. I am flexible for the needs of your pet and can manage your schedule/needs.

Beyond belly rubs and feeding schedules, a house sitter’s presence may provide an additional layer of security for your home. However, you will need to arrange overnight stays and other household tasks with your sitter when reaching out to them. Not all sitters offer the same services. Common household tasks you can negotiate include:
- Mail & deliveries: Collecting letters and packages so they don't pile up.
- Plant care: Keeping your indoor or outdoor garden hydrated.
- Trash & recycling: Taking trash cans to the curb on scheduled pickup days.
- Home security: Sitters can stay overnight to keep your home occupied.
The best way to align on expectations is during your free Meet & Greet. Use this time to provide a "home cheat sheet" that includes your preferred Whatley Cross Road walking routes, the location of your favorite pet store, and any specific quirks about your home’s security or appliances.
It’s helpful to think of house sitting as a "home base" service. Most sitters in Whatley Cross Road maintain their normal daily routines, like running errands or heading to the office, meaning your pet should be comfortable being alone for a few hours at a time. If your pet needs a little extra company, here is how to find the perfect match:
- Look for "WFH" sitters: Many sitters mention "Work from Home" on their profile to indicate they’ll be present for the majority of the day.
- Update your pet’s profile: Write down how long your pet can comfortably be left alone. This helps sitters quickly determine if their schedule aligns with your needs.
- Communicate 24/7 needs: Standard house sitting usually doesn't include constant supervision. If your pet requires round-the-clock care, be sure to discuss this upfront.
Tip: Use the Meet & Greet to confirm a sitter's typical "away" windows. Transparency ensures your pet stays happy and your sitter can plan their day effectively!
Key handling is entirely up to you and your sitter to agree on during the Meet & Greet or in the Rover app. Most pet parents in Whatley Cross Road choose to hand over a spare key or digital fob in person, while others arrange a lockbox or unique access code. Don't forget to discuss key returns as well!
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your pet to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your pet is showing signs of possible illness.
For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.
Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
