About: I grew up on a farm so I’ve been around animals all my life. Family and friends have trusted me for all of their pet-sitting needs for years. I currently have two dogs. I’ve dog sat dogs of all ages in my home and in the owners’ homes. Last fall, I witnessed a man dumping two dogs near my home. One of them was pregnant. We were able to raise the puppies and give them and the mom to loving homes. We kept the other dog and now her and the chiweenie that we already owned are best friends. I also have experience with special needs dogs. My chiweenie recently lost his left eye after another dog jumped on him. I've learned to be patient with him as he regains confidence and navigates everyday life with one eye. I am a full-time student at college. I do not have a job but I am looking for a part-time gig to do along with pet care. My classes aren't all day so I would be able to care for pets in the morning and as needed in the later afternoon/night. In the client’s home, I can feed, water, play with and follow whatever specific instructions I’m given. I can walk your dog on a leash and make sure they always have water.

About: I grew up on a farm with lots of animals and my first job was walking my neighbor's dogs! Since I am in college I can't have a dog of my own, but I am ready to make fast friends with yours! I am a student and work nights as a server so I have most mornings and afternoons to spend wherever is needed to care for your pet. I also am good at staying the night and making a quality connection with your pets. Although I cannot house your pets in my apartment, I am comfortable staying at your house and taking them to a local park. I will give your pets detailed and attentive care, as often as possible.

About: I’ve grown up caring for animals all my life; cattle, dogs, cats, hedgehogs, and many more. I have experience in small dogs and large, specifically dachshunds and Siberian huskies/Malamutes, as I’ve grown up with those breeds since I was a toddler! My home is very assessable to those prone to IVDD as I currently have my Mini-Dachshund living with me. I know how to administer limited medications, pills and solution/liquid medications. I am also able to provide nail trimmings for dogs only, no additional charge; I can provide my own clean dremel/nail clippers. I’m also a very patient person, so new pets won’t be a problem. I have experience with dogs who experience anxiety/are skittish. And I am experienced with elderly pets! I’m currently working part-time as a pharmacy technician (1-3 days a week) and I am in school full-time. I am able to make time after and between classes to fit all the love and attention into the needs of pets. I live on the 3rd floor of an apartment complex, I’m happy to carry the smaller pets up stairs if they have trouble with stairs! I don’t necessarily have a fenced in yard, but we do have a fenced in area specifically for dogs, most people in the complex don’t use! I enjoy taking the dogs on walks either around campus or shorter walks around the complex/home, I’m very active if your pet needs mental stimulation I am perfect for that; if your pet is more of a calm and lazy animal I can also provide for them as well! I’ve been know to be a very organized person, so if your pet is on a specific schedule I can usually adapt to that schedule very quickly and efficiently whether that’s feeding, walking or medications.

About: I’ve grown up with two dogs, Stella and Bentley. I frequently foster animals ranging from puppies to adult dogs at my local humane society. I also volunteer with the cats as well! I will care for your pet as my own. I have class during the week but that is only for an hour or two a day. When I am not in class I am at home. I have plenty of time to take care of your pet. I am a very patient pet sitter. I listen and pay attention to what you tell me your dog or cat needs and I go beyond that. I do allow pets to be comfortable where they choose whether that’s on furniture, or on the cold floor. I will make sure your pets feel as comfortable as possible while away from their humans! I do not have any pets that live with me so having a guest pet every now and then is great.

As a college student on a pre-vet track, I’m used to balancing a busy schedule while still making time for animals. I have multiple availability blocks throughout the week, which makes it easy for me to fit pet care into my routine. I’m organized and plan ahead, so I can make sure pets get consistent care whether that’s daily walks, feeding, playtime, or check-ins. Caring for animals is already a big part of my life and future career goals, so I naturally prioritize it in my day-to-day routine. I care for pets by treating them like family and making sure they feel safe, happy, and loved. In a client’s home, I stick closely to their usual routine for meals, walks, and playtime so they stay comfortable in their own environment. I’ve had many pets of my own over the years, so I understand how important it is to give them not just the basics like food and water, but also attention, patience, and affection. Every pet has their own personality, and I enjoy getting to know what makes them feel most at ease.

About: I’ve taken care of my dogs for 10 years! They are two beautiful golden doodles. I also help out a ton with family members pets and friends pets. I babysit for kids every single week for the past three years so I am constantly being responsible. Since I'm a college student with a super flexible schedule this year, I am pretty much free all day! I have tons of free time between classes and on weekends, so I can easily adjust to the routine your pet already has. Whether your dog needs a mid day walk, a morning check in, or full weekend boarding, I'm around and love having the company while I do my homework! Your pet’s safety is my number one priority. I'm very responsible and keep my eyes on them at all times, especially when we go outside. I will carefully follow all of your rules for feeding times, portion sizes, and routines so they stay happy and healthy. I promise to treat your dog like they're my absolute own!!

Ashley responded to our same-day request and, within just a couple of hours, was at our home and ready to help. She stayed with our three dogs for several days, giving us complete peace of mind so we could focus on being with our daughter and enjoying the arrival of our new grandchild. Her responsiveness, flexibility, and genuine care for our dogs meant so much to our family. We could not have asked for a better pet sitter. “I absolutely loved Emily for the i day I had her, unexpectedly I had a son come home from out of town working who had got into a disagreement with his girlfriend and had been drinking who just came by not knowing I was out of town to stay the evening and she understandably didn’t feel comfortable completing the contract and couldn’t iboard Lucy bc she has cats. Piecing together alternate drop ins for the remaining 3 days did not even compare to her and was very disappointed to not complete the contract as she was very efficient, kind, easy to work with sent pictures communicated exceptionally well and knew I had nothing to worry about and felt complete at peace and assured my dog was in the greatest of hands. In light of the unexpected situation she thankfully didn’t terminate me on Rover and effect my account standing and was understanding of the unexpected circumstances and understandably not feeling comfortable staying overnight. I’m new to Rover and she was my first experience and will say inspite of the early termination and lost payment the experience I did have with Emily made it a great. I would recommend if new to Rover setting up contingency plans and or making sure if situations arise unexpected drop in services are ok as alternative to in house so you don’t have to double pay for sitters. In light of it all Emily was very understanding communicated well and bc of how impressed I was with the communication and the 1 day of sitter care I bought her a gift back from my vacation as a thank you for the pictures and constant reassurance Lucy was in good hands. I had to meet up with her to give her some things that she left at the house and was gracious and understanding of the unexpected circumstance and apologized for not completing the contract and feeling comfortable with boarding staying or changing to drop in. Thankfully my sister and friend were able to come by once a day and it eased the extreme stress of not having a sitter and not even anticipating making back up plans but as I stated was a learning curve with utilizing the Rover app. I would use Rover again but just make sure to discuss contingency plans and flexibility in case of unexpected circumstances.. I would also recommend Emily highly she was a great sitter but just make sure to discuss contingency plans for unexpected events or have a back up plan.”

About: I’m a biology Ph.D. student with a strong background in animal behavior, so pet care is something I take seriously beyond just “I like animals.” I’ve worked with and studied animal behavior across different species, including birds, fish, reptiles, ferrets, cats, dogs, and other small animals. Because of that, I’m comfortable reading body language, stress signals, fear responses, curiosity, overexcitement, and the difference between an animal needing attention versus needing space. What sets me apart is that I do not treat every pet the same. A nervous cat, an energetic dog, a shy lizard, a curious ferret, and a bird that is easily startled all need different handling. I pay close attention to each animal’s normal routine, personality, and comfort level. I move calmly, avoid forcing interaction, and try to earn trust instead of assuming it. I’ve had my own pets and grew up around family pets, especially cats, and I’m also comfortable with less “typical” animals like ferrets, birds, reptiles, and small mammals. I know that some pets are easy right away, while others take time, patience, and consistency. I actually enjoy working with the ones that need a little extra understanding. I’m careful with the basics: food, fresh water, litter boxes, walks, enclosures, doors, gates, leashes, temperature needs, and owner instructions. I’m also very comfortable giving updates, noticing behavior changes, and communicating if something seems off. My goal is to keep your pet safe, calm, and cared for in a way that matches their normal life as much as possible. My schedule is flexible, especially with advance notice. As a student, I’m used to balancing responsibilities and planning ahead, so pet care fits well into my routine. For drop-in visits, walks, or sitting, I like to know the pet’s normal schedule so I can keep things as familiar as possible. I’m happy to work around feeding times, potty breaks, walks, playtime, medication instructions if clearly explained, and any specific routine your pet is used to. Safety is the main thing I focus on. I’m careful with doors, gates, crates, leashes, food instructions, and anything a pet could get into while their owner is away. I do not assume every animal wants the same type of attention, so I move calmly and let them warm up at their own pace. In a client’s home, I follow instructions closely and try to leave things exactly how I found them. I’m respectful of the home, the pet’s routine, and any boundaries the owner sets. If something seems off, like a pet not eating, acting unusually stressed, or having an accident, I would rather communicate than ignore it.
