“Ashlee and her husband Jay were very nice. They understood our dog’s triggers especially over the Fourth of July weekend. They cared for him and were very accommodating and loving toward him.”

“Savannah is incredible! Our dog, Skye, stayed with her for 14 days, which was her first time staying with someone outside of our immediate family. Skye can be a bit anxious and gets very skittish around fireworks. Savannah took amazing care of her by providing care and support during the 4th of July fireworks celebrations, which meant so much to us and showed how much she truly cares. She gave Skye a structured routine and provided daily walks that Skye absolutely loved. Savannah also let us bring Skye's kennel, playpen, and large mat to her home so she could have a true "home away from home" setup. Her communication was wonderful—she sent us reassuring updates and pictures almost daily. When my daughters picked up Skye, you could see that she was a happy dog and was well taken care of by Savannah. We would absolutely choose Savannah to babysit Skye again in the future!”

“This is the 2nd time we have had Jeffrey watch Maggie in the last few weeks. When we got to his house to drop her off she immediately ran to his front door to get in. We are thrilled the way he takes care of our dog!”

“Dulce was amazing! My pup can be a little anxious at first but she took the time to make sure he was comfortable and well loved! He really opened up at the end and when I picked him up, I could see how much he loved the whole family 🫶🏻”

About: My mom started fostering dogs when I was 2 years old, so I've been taking care of dogs my whole life! I would love to help you take care of your dog(s)! I also have experience using various no-pull harnesses and gentle leader head collars for larger dogs. I have no qualms about taking care of "controversial" breeds such as Rottweilers, Dobermans, or Pit Bulls. I'm available for morning, evening, and weekend check-ins. I'm perfectly comfortable and experienced at administering oral medications and/or taking care of senior dogs and cats. I have a fenced-in yard for frequent potty breaks and play time. Adult pets must be spayed/neutered to stay at my home. I try to keep my Rover calendar up to date so you can see when I'm available! Please reach out for any specific dates needed! Boarding: I treat your dogs like my own! They get to play outside and sleep on the furniture with my dog! I'll feed them per your schedule! Sitting: I'll try to keep the routine as normal as possible for your pets! I'll send pictures throughout the service!
“Chelsea’s family took amazing care of my dog for the second time, and I couldn’t be happier with their care. They genuinely welcome and embrace my big guy’s chaotic energy, and it’s such a gift knowing he’s safe, happy, and so loved while he’s with them. I’m incredibly grateful to have found such a wonderful family to care for him!”

“Jennifer and her beautiful family were amazing with Mylow! She provided daily updates and pictures while we were on vacation. Her family loved on our dog like he was their own. Pick up and drop off were seamless and you could genuinely see and feel Jennifer’s love for animals. Mylow came home one happy dog. We will definitely use Jennifer in the future. Thanks again Jennifer! 💜”

“Michael was a great host for my Lucy for three nights. He always replied to messages and gave us some updates along the way. I thank Michael for giving Lucy a safe space to stay while we were away.”

“Jessica and Robert did a fantastic job watching my dog! They sent me daily updates and pictures so I knew she was happy and being taken care of. My dog has some quirks and they were great at communicating with me and making sure she got all the love and attention she needed while I was gone! They were great at easing my anxiety, and the next time I go on a trip I’ll definitely book with them again!”

“Michelle is the best sitter in the whole wide world! Our doggo has stayed with her more times that I can remember, and honestly he doesn’t want to leave haha. He enjoys his time so much with her and her family.”

About: I have had very few years of my life without the company of a pet - first, growing up with dogs, and now taking care of other people's dogs (and cats). I often have a Golden Retriever who likes to staycay with me when his mom is away. I have boarded Golden Retrievers, Corgis, Bull Mastiffs, Chihuahuas, to name a few! I am also experienced at administering medication. Your little (or big) one will enjoy the creature comforts of a little townhome with a large area to play and exercise. Because I'm located just a couple of blocks from Gifford Park, babies who love the outdoors are just minutes away from a luxurious sprint or smelling who is new in town. When it's time to unwind, the indoors are just right. Beds and couches galore allow for a relaxing way to end the day. All cheekiness aside, I can't wait to meet you and your pet! I am currently taking a chance on a new path into a career I've always dreamed about but never had the time to pursue. At this stage in my life, I'm ready finally to try it! Animals are like children, and they come first. When they are with me, they know it! Regular vet visits, exercise, attention, healthy food, and mental stimulation are a must at my house, and I treat every animal as my own. If someone leaves me in charge of the safety and well-being of their beloved pet, I take that responsibility as high as a person possibly can. Physical safety is not my only concern. I hope to make these times away from you feel less stressful for your loved one. I am sure to give them lots of love and attention so that they feel safe until you return.

“Amber took amazing care of my fur baby while I was gone. My baby ended up getting sick and needing to go to the emergency vet and Amber took her and took amazing care of her when I couldn’t be there. I would recommend her to anyone! She has so much compassion for animals!”

“Angela was wonderful ! Our biggest concern was whether Max would want to come home with us when we picked him up! Angela provided daily picture and text updates which we found very reassuring. We felt fortunate to have found Angela !”

“Kofi has watched my dog Ubu twice now. I was pleased both times. He was easy to communicate with in discussing my dog, as he had reactive issues towards other dogs. He got along fine with him. I will use him again and would recommend you check him out.”
“Ryne is fantastic! My two boys knew exactly where we were when we pulled up for drop off, and I know they are in good hands with each stay. Ryne will definitely be our first call for boarding moving forward!”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Omaha
Kay and Daniel are officially our pups aunt and uncle! They took such good care of them and put our minds at ease. They even had to deal with storms and anxiety and were great with them. Awesome communication as well. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a safe, loving stay for your fur baby!

We absolutely love Sarah and Nic. We have used them for several services for Scout and Phoebe and have been so impressed. Such an amazing couple and their dog Winston is so adorable. Recently we had Phoebe and Scout stay with them while we were out of town. They sent us pictures and updates throughout their stay which made being away from my fur babies so much easier. I would highly recommend Nic and Sarah!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NE ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
