“I am so grateful Andrea and her family were able to watch my pup while I went out of town! They always take the best care of her. They send plenty of updates and pictures and so I feel great knowing she is being well loved and cared for. You guys are the best! Thank you 😊”

“We felt so assured our dog was being thoughtfully cared for in a safe and completely dog-friendly space. Bob's communication before and throughout our vacation was just right to have us enjoy connection to our pet and worry-free enjoy our vacation. I can't imagine a better choice for our dog to stay with.”

“Loki had so much fun spending the weekend with Jill! It was our first time finding a sitter for our dog + am so thankful to have found her! Will definitely have to bring him back! ❤️”

“Doyle's home was warm, friendly, and welcoming. My dogs are a bit older and one is a bit difficult. This did not phase them in the least! I got adorable photos while I was gone of their adventures, and freshly bathed pets upon my return. I would happily leave my furry children again anytime. Rover.com made this easy and affordable - very important factor for me right now. Thank you again so much, I didn't have to worry a moment about my dogs, and would come back again in a heartbeat.”
“Emily and Jim did a phenomenal job taking care of our Maltese. She was pampered and got tons of time going on walks. Emily took the time to get to know our dog, asked a lot of questions to provide amazing service, and was SUPER helpful when we ran into delays with our trip coming back. I definitely recommend Emily and Jim, and will be a repeat customer the next time our pup needs a place to stay!”

“We couldn’t be happier with Alex and Sarah! They took such amazing care of Gigi and kept us updated with the sweetest photos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear she was happy, loved, and in great hands. Gigi came home her usual joyful self, and we could tell she had a wonderful time. We will definitely be reaching out to Alex and Sarah again whenever we need a sitter, highly recommend them!”

“Ashtyn and Scott took wonderful care of our girl, Bonnie. Having just moved here to Nebraska, this was the first time our dog stayed with someone other than a friend or family member. I think she had a great time and we felt at ease while out of town knowing she was in good hands. Highly recommend!”

About: We’re a dog-loving family with 20+ years of hands-on experience caring for our own pets and others. My husband has had dogs his entire life, and our home is full of genuine love for animals. We have experience caring for senior dogs, including administering medication and accommodating mobility issues with patience and care. Our home setup allows us to safely separate dogs when needed, ensuring every pet feels comfortable and secure. For safety and routine, we do ask that dogs are crate trained for overnight stays. Most pets enjoy relaxing on our main floor or in our finished basement, where they’re treated like part of the family. I work from home, so I’m around throughout the day to provide consistent care and attention. Dogs are let out regularly every 4 hours, depending on their needs, and I make time for walks and outdoor breaks whenever the weather allows. My flexible schedule helps ensure your pet stays comfortable, active, and well cared We prioritize routine, consistency, and attention in our daily care. Dogs can be fed on your schedule, within reason, and are given frequent opportunities for outdoor time and exercise. Weather permitting, we incorporate playtime outside, and in the evenings, pets receive plenty of interaction, affection, and engagement.
“Sarah and Jason were amazing! We are first timers a little nervous about leaving our little guys, but were quickly put at ease. They sent timely updates and pictures and took great care. Highly recommend!”

About: My Fiancé and I have 3 dogs of our own. We have a 13 year old Terrior Mix, a 8 year old Yorkie and a 1 year old Lhasa Apso. We also have an 9 year old child here part time. I work from home so I am available at all times for boarding and can make almost anything work for drop in visits and walking. We have had our dogs for many years so we are well versed in caring for dogs of all wants and needs. We believe time spent with dogs is the most important.
“Michelle and her daughters did a great job watching Jax for me overnight. He came back home happy and worn out. Really enjoyed them having other puppies around for him to play with during his stay. Will definitely be booking with Michelle again for future stays for Jax.”

Thank you, Ashlee! ❤️”

“5 star household! Our old man was so tired from all the play time. They provided great photos and updates and showed concern when he had a bit of bleeding from tug of war. Knowing they pay attention to details gave us additional peace of mind.”

Pet parents share their Rover experiences - Gretna
We appreciate the TLC they gave my fur baby the 9 days we were away. This is the first time we have ever left our dog with someone we didn’t know. Elizabeth and Daniel sent us daily updates and pictures. They were quick to reply to any questions or concerns we had while away. Thank you.

Valentina provided excellent care for my pug while I was out of town. She did a lot of things that made me confident my dog was in good hands. 1. She set up a visit beforehand, 2. She was welcoming and allowed me in her home during drop off and pick-up, 3. She was extremely friendly and polite and had several items to prepare so that I did not have to pack a bed. We even ran out of food as I forgot to check how much we had and she took care of it. She was prompt to respond and I was impressed with her frequent communication and pictures, too. I would definitely recommend her and return!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NE ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
