“Courtney goes above and beyond to take care of our dog, Dottie! She brings her a special toy to play with when she’s there, allowing Dottie to experience the joy of a new toy every day. She watched out for Dottie’s health and safety. She treats Dottie as if she’s her own. We could not ask for a better Rover sitter. Thanks Courtney!”

“Kylie is very communicative and replies quickly to messages. She did a great job watching my cats for the weekend. She was always on time and gave thorough updates. I highly recommend! Thanks Kylie!”

“Carrie is absolutely amazing! My pup adores her. Today, she came through for us at the last minute, just like she has a few times before. We can always rely on her. Thanks a million, Carrie! You're the best!”

“Amanda updated me each time when leaving and my cats felt comfortable (which is surprising because one of them is very shy/reserved). Their litter was scooped and my animals were taken care of food/water wise. I would definitely request Amanda again based off the pictures taken when checking up on my cats.”

About: I have owned dogs ever since I was born. In middle school my family had a total of 8 dogs at one time. I now own a golden doodle who is 1.5 years old. I am a stay at home parent but the kids have started school so I am available most days of the year. I am very flexible. I am comfortable around dogs and can stay with the pet as needed. I can also bring the dog to my house if needed where I have a fenced yard
“Linda the pet sitter did a fantastic job! She took the time to really get to know each of our three dogs—their unique personalities and quirks. It was clear they felt comfortable and well-cared for. We couldn’t have asked for a better sitter!”

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life! I grew up on a farm and learned my heart is wherever the animals are. Moving to Omaha from my small town, I’ve missed being around animals more than anything. I’m so excited to meet your furry friends and give them all the love. I’m currently a full time sales rep. I’m on the go a lot but that being said majority of my territory is Omaha. I do plan my schedule in advance so if I’m ever going further a day I will be sure to let you know. Weekends I’m available. My apartment has lots of space and want to make sure let’s feel comfortable. I currently dog sit for friends and family so my apartment is dog friendly! We have an amazing dog park and lots of great areas to go on long walks.
“Torey is so great with our kitties! She is so very reliable and sends us several pictures from every visit. I don’t have any worries when we leave them in her care, thank you Torey!!!”

About: I have my own reactive dog I’ve learned so much about. In the 8 years we’ve had him, we have been able to watch his growth, and my own, as we’ve learned what his needs are. I have successfully brought a puppy into our home and trained him alongside our older, reactive dog. I understand the need for love and patience. I am a teacher in the Papillion district and would love to be involved in the community. I love animals, being outside, and creating relationships with new people. I am open during the summer and nights and weekend when school starts back up! I am experienced with my own reactive dog. I have learned so much about walking, crate training, and overall daily mental health stimulation for him. I understand the balance of love and support for animals who need extra care and attention.
“We have used Morgan for a while now and feel like we can completely trust her with our babies. She always flexible and does a great job updating us on how the babes are doing. Thank you, Morgan!”
“Charlie took wonderful care of our cat while we were away for the holiday. We returned to a very happy cat. Charlie is absolutely reliable, communication excellent and we left for our trip with no worries! Next time we leave town for a trip we will definitely check if Charlie has availability. Very Highly recommend!!!”

“Ashley and her son Grayson were absolutely wonderful! They took care of my cat Binx for a week and did a fabulous job. Grayson played with Binx twice a day, which I know my mom appreciated Binx being worn out LOL...and Ashley went above and beyond by helping my mom with some stuff as well while here. I can't say enough good things about them. I would definitely use them again :-)”

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
