“Ainsley was amazing with our mini golden doodle, Rosie! She was available for our last minute doggie day care request. We spent the day at the zoo and needed somewhere for our dog to hang out. Ainsley is just a few minutes away, so it worked out perfectly. I highly recommend Ainsley and will definitely use her again next time we’re passing through Omaha!”

“Donna is an excellent dog sitter. She made sure our dog Maggie got a long with her other boarders and kept us posted throughout the day. We appreciated that she only boards smaller dogs as our Maggie is nervous around the big guys.”

“Melody was amazing with our pup! Got plenty of updates and responds quickly! Our situation was a last minute and she was quick to help us and we are grateful and our pup Annie can't wait to go again!”

“Roger has been absolutely amazing with my dog. I bring him to his daycare multiple times each week, and it’s been such a great experience every time. He is reliable, attentive, and clearly cares about the dogs he watches. My dog always comes home happy and well taken care of, which gives me a lot of peace of mind. I highly recommend Rogers daycare to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring place for their dog.”

“Miss Penny Mae enjoyed the fenced in back yard. She had great play and snuggle time with the other dog at the home. Their little girl and Miss Mae are quite the match :) Penny is a finicky eater and she was comfortable enough to eat at the residence. It's been a great experience! Thank you for caring for my baby girl!”

About: Have had cats and dogs my whole life, and used to dog sit in college! I’m comfortable with big and small animals and love them all. I work from home and have some flexibility throughout my day. I’m happy to do check ins/ walks when I’m available! Sometimes your pets become my coworkers!! I live in an apartment, so no personal back yard but we do have space right outside the buildings. I have two cats as well! I usually try to avoid boarding.
About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 12. I take them for walks give them a bath I’ll teach them new commands and my favorite of all is cuddling on the couch watching a movie. I currently work full time Monday to Friday. I do work from home. Some days I do go in office. I am off weekends. My schedule is pretty flexible. I have two children. They love dog's and get along with them great. Dog's will not be left alone for more than 3-4 hours at a time. My pick up and drop off hours are between 7am-8pm, if drop off or pick up times need to be before or after these times I ask that you please send the request for the day before/after. We look forward to becoming a part of your dog's family. Our community is amazing there are plenty of dogs in our community that are extremely playful. We have a park about 3 blocks away. The park also has a walking trail. I take dogs for walks over there and we throw the ball quite often.
About: Hi! I’m Liv, I work in the medical field as a surgical tech and I absolutely love animals. I’m calm, reliable, and safety oriented. I’ve cared for senior dogs growing up and now am around high energy dogs of all sizes and personalities. I’m home most evenings and weekends, and I send lots of updates and photos so you always know your dog is safe and happy. I keep a clean, peaceful home and treat every pet like my own. Whether you need boarding, drop-ins, walks, or house sitting, I’m here to help. I’m very flexible and quick to respond — feel free to message me with any questions! I work full time at a hospital so I have a weird schedule but would love to make time to excersise and this is a fun way to do it I will make sure they feel comfortable in the environment or situation they are in. If they seem distressed I will try my best to comfort them or get them away from a certain thing/ animal they dislike. I also keep a good eye on them making sure they haven’t run away and not leaving them outside for long periods of time unsupervised
“Cindy was so amazing and sweet with our dog ! We came from out of town and wanted Mocha to be able to play while we explored Omaha during the day. Cindy took the BEST care of her. Spoiled her with treats, took her on walks, and loved her. Would definitely recommended Cindy to anyone looking for a dog sitter. She sent us lots of updates so we knew she was having fun while we were off having fun.”

About: I grew up around both cats and dogs, so caring for pets has always felt natural to me. I’ve always loved animals, and I have a dog of my own, so I understand how important it is to find someone trustworthy and caring. I truly enjoy their company and will treat every pet like they’re part of my family. I’m a college student, so pet care fits well into my schedule, especially during the summer when I have more availability. I’m flexible and able to make time for walks, feeding, playtime I live in a 2-bedroom apartment, but I make sure pets still get plenty of time outside and attention. I love spending time at the park, going on walks, and taking my dog to the dog park, so pets in my care will have opportunities for exercise and playtime

If your dog is less active, we can bring our activity level to where your dog is most happy and comfortable. “I’m so happy we found Alexis. Last minute, she spent the afternoon with Max and Luna halfway through our long road trip and watched them while we took our family downtown. They were clearly happy and were able to get their wiggles out.”

“Michelle is fantastic! I booked daycare services for my dog while we were in the midst of moving. It was so helpful to have somewhere to take him where someone was there to take care of him. He can be very shy and was”

If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NE ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
