“Ainsley was amazing with our mini golden doodle, Rosie! She was available for our last minute doggie day care request. We spent the day at the zoo and needed somewhere for our dog to hang out. Ainsley is just a few minutes away, so it worked out perfectly. I highly recommend Ainsley and will definitely use her again next time we’re passing through Omaha!”

“My dog Mollie stayed with Donna for doggy day care. Mollie was immediately comfortable around Donna and was sufficiently tired when I took her home. Donna was very welcoming and prompt when it came to responding to my messages. She sent me updates through pictures and gave me a feedback of Mollie's stay. Great experience!”
“Melody was very easy to communicate with, she was very attentive to Buddy and his needs. Accommodating in our unpredictable schedule while we were in the area was a pleasure for us.”

“Roger has been absolutely amazing with my dog. I bring him to his daycare multiple times each week, and it’s been such a great experience every time. He is reliable, attentive, and clearly cares about the dogs he watches. My dog always comes home happy and well taken care of, which gives me a lot of peace of mind. I highly recommend Rogers daycare to anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring place for their dog.”

About: I have been taking care of dogs since I was 12. I take them for walks give them a bath I’ll teach them new commands and my favorite of all is cuddling on the couch watching a movie. Welcome! I’m so glad you’re considering us to care for your pup. I work full-time Monday through Friday with a flexible schedule, primarily from home, which allows me to give your dog plenty of attention throughout the day. On the days I work in the office, your pup will never be left alone for more than 3–4 hours. We also have a sweet, playful dog named Coco who loves making new furry friends, along with two children who adore dogs and are gentle, loving companions. Your pup will be treated like part of our family and receive plenty of love, playtime, and care while they’re with us. Our standard drop-off and pick-up hours are 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM. If you need times outside of those hours, please send your request for the day before or after, and I’ll do my best to accommodate you. We can’t wait to welcome your dog into our home and become a trusted part of their extended family! Our community is amazing there are plenty of dogs in our community that are extremely playful. We have a park about 3 blocks away. The park also has a walking trail. I take dogs for walks over there and we throw the ball quite often.
“We were in town with family and needed a last minute dog sitter. Michelle accepted our request. She had great communication. She even sent a picture and let us know she ate her dinner and was comfortably settled. So thankful we found Michelle. Highly recommend her!”

About: Have had cats and dogs my whole life, and used to dog sit in college! I’m comfortable with big and small animals and love them all. I work from home and have some flexibility throughout my day. I’m happy to do check ins/ walks when I’m available! Sometimes your pets become my coworkers!! I live in an apartment, so no personal back yard but we do have space right outside the buildings. I have two cats as well! I usually try to avoid boarding.
“Miss Penny Mae enjoyed the fenced in back yard. She had great play and snuggle time with the other dog at the home. Their little girl and Miss Mae are quite the match :) Penny is a finicky eater and she was comfortable enough to eat at the residence. It's been a great experience! Thank you for caring for my baby girl!”

Spoiled her with treats, took her on walks, and loved her. Would definitely recommended Cindy to anyone looking for a dog sitter. She sent us lots of updates so we knew she was having fun while we were off having fun.”

About: I have been watching friends and family animals for as long as I can remember. I love being able to give comfort to the animals when their parents are not able to. I do work full-time, but I’ve always been able to help out with my friends pets at least three times a day if not more when needed. I am not able to do in-home care at the client’s house-or overnight stays at my house at this time as I have an animal in my own.
About: I have been pet sitting for 10 here’s for neighbors, family, and friends. I absolutely love dogs and cats and I’m so excited to get started on Rover! I am a passionate, kind, and dependable college student with a flexible schedule and a love of animals. I can’t wait to meet your fur babies!! I am a student at Creighton University, studying public relations and advertising. I have a super flexible schedule between classes and becoming a yoga teacher. I would love to fill in my spare time spending time with animals. I live in a house with my best friends, however, our yard is not fenced in. In the past, I have stayed in other people’s homes when dog sitting and find that it works very well because the pets are more comfortable and don’t have to be in an unfamiliar space. When staying in other people‘s homes, I am respectful, make sure to keep it clean, and make sure to make sure everything is locked up before I leave and at night.
“Wish I could give more than 5 stars! Ashlee is so sweet! I was so nervous leaving my puppy and she answered all my questions and even gave me some puppy tips!! I loved all the videos and pictures so I knew my puppy was having fun! My puppy is happier getting dropped off than picked up. Super thankful and I’ll recommend Ashlee to anyone!!! 🩷”

“I’m so happy we found Alexis. Last minute, she spent the afternoon with Max and Luna halfway through our long road trip and watched them while we took our family downtown. They were clearly happy and were able to get their wiggles out.”

Sitters on Rover can offer flexible scheduling, so you can coordinate times that work best for you and your pet—whether that’s early drop-off or later pick-up to match your Omaha commute.
If your schedule changes, it’s best to let your sitter know through the app as early as possible. Many sitters can adjust pick-up and drop-off times when needed.
Think of doggy day care as your dog’s fun, supervised play date that happens to fit into your workday. Day care through Rover takes place in a real home. This offers a calmer and more personalized environment for your pup.
A typical day can include companionship, one-on-one attention, and same day pick-up and drop-off. Many sitters can also offer structured routines and exercise throughout the day. For recurring, weekly day care, sitters will include photo updates so you can see your dog in their element.
Here are tips for finding the ideal day care fit for your dog:
- For some small dogs: In-home day care can be the perfect fit. Look for sitters whose "can host" section only lists dogs weighing 0–7 kilograms and/or 7–18 kilograms. During your Meet & Greet, ask about play areas based on dog size and energy level.
- For high-energy dogs: The ideal doggy day care can offer scheduled breaks and outdoor spaces or activities. You can also find sitters who host multiple dogs to satisfy your pup’s socializing needs.
- For dogs who prefer human-only companionship: Use the filters "Doesn't own a dog" and "Only accepts one pet at a time" to find the right care.
Play groups can be an option when you book with a day care sitter through Rover. Many sitters do host a small number of dogs at the same time. Smaller dog packs are generally safer, more fun, and ideal for dogs who enjoy playtime but also want to relax throughout the day. When looking for your dog’s pack, check the sitter’s profile to see if they "Accept multiple clients" or have their own dogs. Then during the Meet & Greet, you can see whether your dog is a good fit for their social circle!
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in NE ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
The Rover Guarantee is Rover’s commitment to your peace of mind every time you book. It includes 24/7 customer support, sitter access to advice from qualified veterinary professionals for diagnostic issues, and a reimbursement program for eligible veterinary care in the rare event something goes wrong.
All bookings are backed by the Rover Guarantee , which provides up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care reimbursement.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
