“Jack and Kate are great! I had never used a dog walker before and they made the process so easy. They sent updates and pictures after the walk and my pup had so much fun!”

“Roger did a great job tiring out Miss Nadira on their walk. He was able to make it to the appointment at the last minute since I've been sick, and she had lots of energy to burn! He arrived on time and monitored my furbaby well.”

About: I have experience with small and large dogs. I have grown up with dogs in my family and have learned the needs that are specific to certain breeds. I have walked Morkies, Boxers, Rottweilers, Black Labs, Havanese, and many other breeds of dogs. I can handle energetic puppies and dogs since I have had experience with them in the past. I have walked small dogs and large dogs for other families before. I also enjoy taking the dogs I have or watch to the dog park to play fetch or play with other dogs in a leash-free setting. I also have some experience training my own dogs and tips I have picked up along the way for certain dog behaviors. I can handle baths and light grooming if needed. I work from home a large chunk of the week, so I have a flexible schedule that allows me to feed, walk, and care for your pet(s) as needed! I have a sweet 7 year old pup and 6 month old pup that can keep your pup company if staying with me! Otherwise, I can watch your fur baby at your home with no issues! I can also crate and reinforce their training if needed!
“Erica took such good care of Barney that I think he hardly knew I had left for two days! I will absolutely book Erika again in the future, and I highly recommend that you do the same. This was the first time I’ve left Barney alone in the house for more than a few hours. I was pretty nervous about him freaking out with nobody home. I didn’t need to be. :)”

About: I’ve grown up with dogs all my life. From 10 pound mini poodles to 100 pound golden retrievers. I’ve been trusted to dogsit, walk and take care of my families for years. My girlfriend kera and I have watched dogs of all sizes for the last few years. I am a student and kera works fully remote. Easily able to take care of pets. Being able to take care of them during the work day isn’t a problem! Our apartment is near grassy areas and parks, easily able to walk and take them to pets to play. Plenty of space for pets to relax.
About: With 11 years of hands-on experience caring for both my own pets and others’, I specialize in cats and dogs — I know how to read their body language, keep them comfortable, and stick to their routines. Since I work from home, your pet gets consistent attention throughout the day, not just quick check-ins. And because I don’t have other pets in my home, your pet gets my full, undivided attention — no competing for space, food, or affection with a resident animal. Pet care fits naturally into my everyday life, not just around it. My work is flexible, so I’m either home or able to come back frequently throughout the day — your pet won’t be left alone for long stretches. I’m available all seven days of the week, so there’s no gap in coverage between weekdays and weekends. Boarding • Your pet stays in my home with no other pets competing for attention. I keep feeding and routines on schedule, and since I work from home, someone’s around for most of the day. Drop-ins • I follow whatever routine you’ve set — feeding, medication, fresh water, litter box or potty breaks, and playtime — with a photo update after each visit. Walks • One walk a day, paced to your pet’s comfort level, on-leash and supervised the whole time. I pay close attention to their cues, especially with cats and small-to-medium dogs, where I have the most hands-on experience. House-sitting • I usually do NOT stay at clients homes overnight or for extended periods during the day! • I will check in with your pets in the AM/PM (as needed) and follow their routines so their schedule is consistent, and provide photos throughout the stay. *Every visit ends with a photo, so you always know your pet is happy and cared for.

About: I have been a lifetime pet owner, small to big. I helped raise 6 vizsla puppies in 2023 and continue to care for 3 of them when they need it. I have two cats myself that I love dearly. I also already work with dogs full time at a doggy daycare!! I am currently working full time so I will have time to take care of your fur baby in the morning and in the evening!! As a dog walker I will respect your home and space by not touching or wandering in spaces that I don’t need to be in. I will also respect your dog and their boundaries, I’m used to dogs that don’t like people and dogs that like people a little bit too much. There’s not much I won’t be able to handle!!
“So glad I found Brooks! He has experience with Boxers and knows what they can be like as young adolescents. Emma adored him, and he became her best friend immediately. Brooks was prompt and on time and the communication was outstanding!”

“Very straightforward experience with Ben. He was easy to communicate with and did exactly what we asked. He sent a picture of our dog with a beaming smile so clearly he made him very comfortable. Will definitely be using again!”

“It was a hot ? first week, but our dog had a fun time with Nichole! He definitely enjoyed the company and being out of his crate for a while. We are looking forward to continuing daily walks! ?”

About: I've spent years caring for dogs and cats of all ages, sizes, and personalities — from high-energy puppies who need structure and play, to sweet senior pets who deserve a gentle, attentive touch. Whether it’s daily walks, mealtime routines, administering medications, or just extra snuggles, I tailor my care to each pet’s individual needs. What sets me apart is my patience, reliability, and genuine love for animals. I treat every pet like they’re my own, paying close attention to their habits and comfort. I understand how important it is for you to feel peace of mind while you're away — and for your pet to feel safe, loved, and at home. I am a graduate student with a fluctuating class schedule Monday through Thursday. Although I'm busy during these days, I live very close to school and am able to check in at lunch for potty breaks and meal time. I am usually home by 4pm and stay in the rest of the night! Weekends are much less busy and I'm home nearly full time from Friday through Sunday. In your home, I follow your routines closely to keep things familiar for your pet — including feeding schedules, walk times, and any special instructions. I respect your space and always leave it clean and exactly as I found it. In my home (if applicable), pets have a safe, cozy space with plenty of room to relax, play, and feel at ease. I keep a close eye on all interactions and never leave pets unsupervised in new environments. My home is pet-proofed, and I only accept guests that are a good fit to ensure a peaceful experience for everyone. I also: - Use positive reinforcement and calm energy to build trust - Never use off-leash areas unless in a fully enclosed space (unless instructed otherwise) - Give regular updates with photos/videos so you always know how your pet is doing - Watch closely for signs of stress or illness and respond immediately if anything seems off I treat every pet with the same love, patience, and care I’d want for my own.
About: I have experience in the animal field. I have pets of my own. I have 2 dogs 2 cats and 3 snakes. I have experience in some vet tech care and vet clinic experience such as restraint, pill giving, injections if needed. I know dog/cat body language. I am skilled in reptiles and exotics as well. Please reach out! I would LOVE to do a drop in visit or stay at your home with your pet. I am flexible with the services I offer. I care for your pets in your home the way you would. With love, care and all the snuggles. For drop in visits I would take them on a longer walk and hangout with them.
About: As a pet owner of 28 years, I know how stressful it is to leave your fur babies behind for hours on end, and my goal is to relieve you and your pet of any worries! I love taking dogs for walks for stimulation and activity. Your dog will receive my care with attention to pacing, any health concerns, and lots of fun! My schedule changes weekly, meaning I am very flexible for your needs. Generally weekdays during normal working hours is when I am the most free! As a walker, I don’t offer services from my own home but would love to keep pet parents updated with photos of my walks with your pets!

I’m also comfortable managing multiple pets and following specific care instructions closely. Above all, I treat every pet like they’re my own—with reliability, compassion, and plenty of attention. “Ellie has been helping us out by walking our dog, Wally, a few days a week. She is reliable and sends me a picture of Wally on his walks every time! Wally is a high energy dog and he is visibly calmer on days he gets to walk with Ellie! We can tell that he loves his walks with her and can tell that she treats him with love and kindness! He now knows her name and gets excited every morning when I tell him that Ellie is coming to see him later! We’re grateful to have a trustworthy person to spend time with him when we’re busy working. We will continue to hire Ellie as often as we can! Thank you Ellie!”

About: There’s nothing better than coming home to a happy dog and a wagging tail! As a longtime dog mom myself, I know how important it is to feel confident that your pets are safe, comfortable, and getting plenty of love and attention when you can’t be there. I’m self-employed, which gives me a flexible schedule and allows me to work with pet parents to find a routine that works best for their pets. I offer drop-in visits, walks, daytime pet sitting, and overnight stays in your home or mine. I have experience caring for dogs of all ages and sizes, from energetic puppies who are still working on potty training and routines to senior dogs who may need a little extra patience, attention, medication, and care. I’m happy to follow your pet’s normal schedule and keep things as familiar and comfortable as possible while you’re away. Whether your dog needs a walk, a game of fetch or tug-of-war, some backyard playtime, meals and fresh water, or simply some company and plenty of cuddles, I’m happy to give them the attention they’re used to while you’re gone. Every pet has their own personality and routine, and I want you to have peace of mind knowing yours is being cared for like I’d want someone to care for my own. I am self employed and work from home most days so I have plenty of time for snuggles and walks! On days that I do leave home for appointments, I am usually not gone for long and if running errands, I can take pets with for a car ride! I have access to a private fenced dog run area perfect for getting some time to play off leash. We also live downtown so there is no shortage of places to walk and explore. If your pet is more of a couch potato, we can lounge and relax inside!

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Omaha
Leaving my dogs with someone else is something I almost never do because I don't trust many people to care for them the way I do. After having Angela watch my two dogs for 11 days, I can confidently say she exceeded every expectation I had. From the very beginning, Angela was incredibly communicative. She provided detailed updates throughout each day, along with plenty of photos and videos that gave me complete peace of mind while I was away. She never left me wondering how they were doing, and it was obvious she genuinely cared about their well-being rather than simply checking in on them. What impressed me most was how quickly my dogs bonded with her. They're usually cautious around new people, but they clicked with Angela almost immediately. It was clear they were comfortable, happy, and treated like family. Seeing that meant everything to me. Angela was thorough, attentive, and went above and beyond in every aspect of their care. She paid attention to the little details, kept their routine consistent, and treated my home and my dogs with the utmost respect and professionalism. Without question, Angela is the best dog sitter I've ever had. It's incredibly rare to find someone you can completely trust with your pets, and I can honestly say I've found that person. I would recommend her to anyone looking for someone who is reliable, compassionate, trustworthy, and genuinely passionate about caring for animals. Thank you, Angela, for taking such amazing care of my two dogs, I won't hesitate to book with you again!
Emma was so sweet with my pup! She was very prompt and took her on her usual walk. Emma gave my dog a treat after and stayed to make sure she was comfortable by giving lots of pets! She will be so helpful to Elsie and I during work hours, cannot recommend her enough!

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
