About: I'm looking for dogs and cats to keep me company. I love to go for long walks and am used to having pets around me all the time. I travel frequently, so I am not a good fit for someone looking for consistent availability. I've spent the past few years pet sitting while traveling around North America and Europe. I've house sat in mansions with household staff as well as rustic off-grid homesteads. I've done well over 100 house sits, some of which were several months long. Before I became a pet sitter, I had my own cats, one of whom had diabetes. Before I bought my own home, I took care of my roommate's dogs. I grew up on a dahlia farm in Wall, NJ, where we had lots of dogs and cats over the years. In addition to Rover's background check, I've passed background checks to move to Portugal in 2022, become a Canadian citizen in 2022, work with vulnerable people in Canada in 2021, and move to Canada in 2015. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
