“Keith is extremely knowledgeable about dogs and dog behavior. He’s kind, patient, confident and calm. I have two young dogs and they both instantly loved him. I felt extremely comfortable leaving my young puppy with him for a walk. I knew she would not only be safe, but have a fun and enriching experience. Highly recommend!”

About: I have 5 years of pet-sitting experience, 2 in New York city and 3 in Jersey Shore area. I have cared for mostly cats and dogs but I I’ve had various types of pets my whole life. I enjoy doing yoga, running, dancing, reading and trying new things. I love nature and I can give your pets lots of outside playtime. From young to old, I will treat your doggie as my own! I can’t wait to care for and have fun with your furry friends! If you have any questions feel free to contact me. I'm currently enrolled in online school and work remotely so I'm at home all day to tend to your pet's needs! On weekends I love to have prolonged play time and go for outdoors runs/walks—I would love for your pet to join! I love to be outdoors so I'd be glad to play with pets in the yard or take them on long walks. I also enjoy play time and cuddle time indoors!
About: Hi my name is Micaela and one thing about me is that I adore animals! I love all animals so very much. I also feel that I work really well with them. I’ve had dogs and cats my entire life. Most of my dogs have been big dogs so I’m pretty good with handling any challenge that’s thrown my way. I’ve had more aggressive and protective dogs as well as laid back dogs and I’ve loved all. I’ve also worked at local shelters in my hometown and felt that that helped me gain more experience working with varying animals. I trained a couple of my dogs from a young age and though I’m not certified I felt that I did a pretty good job. I’m very patient and very genuine. I also watched my dogs whenever my parents would go on business trips which was quite often so I’d say this is the perfect job for me! I’m a college student but have majority of my classes online so my schedule is pretty clear. I love being outdoors and in nature so dog walking is right up my alley. I also love just chilling at home so I have no problem with that as well. I will always be respectful of others space especially if they are allowing me to stay in their home and watch their animals. I would say I’m a pretty neat person and don’t mind cleaning up if anything is needed. Genuinely it makes me happy to help others around the house if necessary. I used to babysit for a while and would always tidy up when I could find the time. I recently moved and now live with my grandparents and mom. We also have a chocolate lab who’s very energetic and loves to play. We have a fenced in yard and a conservation close to our house so there’s plenty of space for the animals. We love having dogs in the house.
“Kathy and John were great with our two dogs. The pictures that they sent showed how well they connected with our 2 50-lb Brittanys. Will definitely use them again next time.”

“Jessica was outstanding! She was available on NYE when I needed last minute help. She even came to the house during the day and met with me and Bowie for a meet and greet before she came back that evening on her own. She went above and beyond with sending me updates as well as photos and videos, and even did other things like refill his food and water and remove his collar once he was in for the night (as I requested). My dog instantly was comfortable around her and you can see that she is very professional and passionate about her job. 10/10 recommend, she was so kind and a true life saver!”

“First time meeting Petey. She is great! He was a little reluctant to walk, he barked at first. Food motivated so a little treat at introduction and now he knows who she is, and it was a really good first time walk. 👍🏼😊”

I double-checked everything and added wire shielding. While also obstructing some parts. In addition. I can provide playpins if necessary. I'll make sure your little ones are safe.
“Brian was awesome with our puppy! He brought him for a nice, long walk at the park. Archer had tons of fun and was ready for a nap afterwards! He cant wait for their next walk together! 🐾”

“Alexis is a wonderful dog sitter! She was super communacative and reliable in her check-ins which gave me such peace of mind while I was away. It’s obvious she’s a true animal lover and was very sweet with my dog, she did an excellent job- I’d definitely book with her again and highly recommend!”

“I left on vacation for a week and April took amazing care of my dog, Rocky. She was reliable, attentive, and kept me updated the whole time. I came home to a Rocky happy and well fed. I felt completely at ease knowing he was in such good hands. Highly recommend her for anyone needing a trustworthy and loving dog sitter!”

“Madison was great! She is super friendly and patient with my puppy Honey. Honey loved her and cried for her by the door when she left. If you’re looking for care for your pets she is your go to. I will definitely be using her again!!”

“Darlene is amazing with my dog and he LOVES her!! She always provides the full 30 minute walk which I truly appreciate. She also makes sure he eats before she leaves, and she is always in great contact with me. I truly always look for Darlene's availability when looking to book my dog for a walk. I have been using Erin as my dog walker for years now and she is amazing. Jett truly enjoys his time with her and their lovely walks. Erin is reliable, responds quickly to messages, and is very punctual. I highly recommend utilizing Erin for your pets needs because her services go above and beyond.

I couldn’t be happier with Keith as Desmond’s dog walker. He’s always on time, super reliable, and makes scheduling walks so easy. We always get photo updates during every walk — giving us peace of mind that Desmond is in great hands. More than anything, Desmond loves him! Tail wagging, and pure excitement every time Keith comes to the door. It’s clear Keith genuinely cares about the dogs he walks, and it’s not just a job for him. Highly recommend Keith to anyone looking for a trustworthy, attentive walker

We are so happy we found Kathy and John. We were staying in Ocean Grove for the week with our dog, Harley, and needed a last minute dog walker. Away from home, we turned to Rover and saw all of their positive reviews. We couldn’t agree more. They were flexible and communicative. We loved seeing the pictures of Harley and were relieved she was being well taken of while we were away.

Use the search filters to narrow down sitters whose specific experience or environment meets your pet's needs. When reaching out to your sitter, outline your pet's care routine and use the Meet & Greet to walk your sitter through your expectations.
A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
