Loving and Dependable

I love dogs more than people 😉 and have been around them my entire life — from Silky Terriers to German Shepherds. I’m a responsible, attentive, and genuinely caring person who will treat your dog like my own. We currently do not have any animals in the home, which allows me to focus fully on your dog’s care and comfort. While we live in an apartment, we’re just a few blocks from the beach in Asbury Park and have access to excellent walking routes. I take dogs on long daily walks of at least 3 miles and am always happy to go farther if that suits your pup. I’m especially understanding of dogs who may be anxious or reactive around other dogs. I know how stressful it can be to leave a dog with behavioral sensitivities, and I’m committed to providing a safe, calm, and structured environment. Your dog’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities.

I had such an incredible experience with Meghan! This was my first time using Rover and having someone dog sit my baby that was not a friend or family member. Meghan was so understanding and was so so communicative by sending me daily texts and pics. Cannot recommend her enough!! My Scout loves Meghan and can't wait to go back!

Again, Meghan has been such a help with my senior dog. She is super responsive and communicative about her check-ins. Lucie is always happy in her pictures and I am always confident she’s in the best hands with Meghan.

Meghan and Rob were absolutely wonderful. I had never left my Maverick with anyone outside the family and from the meet and greet through the entire stay I felt comfortable and like my dog would be well taken care of even with his history of being reactive. I received pictures and videos and they even took TV request. I would highly recommend Meghan.

Meghan is the absolute best caring human for us and our skittish dog. She goes the extra mile to put the dog at ease and always shows added compassion. We are so very grateful to her, to the person she is, and for being the best possible caregiver to our shy dog. We found an angel. Thanks for all that you do for putting our hearts and minds at ease. You are so appreciated. Sheena is so glad to have you in her life and so are we.

Schedule

I currently work outside the home three days a week. My husband works for the city and is home daily for lunch, so your dog will never go longer than about three hours without a potty break.

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I spent 12 years caring for a dog who was reactive toward other dogs, so I understand how important structure, vigilance, and clear communication are. I take instructions seriously and will follow your care and safety guidelines closely — whether that means avoiding other dogs, using specific equipment, or sticking to a familiar routine. Our home is calm and pet-focused, and we currently do not have any animals, allowing me to tailor care to your dog’s individual needs. I’m attentive, proactive, and thoughtful in my approach, and I’m committed to creating a safe, predictable environment where your dog can feel secure and relaxed.

A typical day

We start the day with a potty break, breakfast, and a nice long walk to sniff everything. Midday brings another potty break and some rest time, and evenings are for dinner, another long walk, and enrichment or brain games before cozying up for the night.
