We live close to a dog park and have a mid size fenced in yard I'm currently working part time and have a generally pretty open schedule. I have a medium size fenced in yard which is super handy as well I have a fenced in yard and a sweet dog to keep your fur baby company. We also have two cats who like to be on their own. We live in a great neighborhood for walks which is super convenient

About: Hello there, I am a certified Veterinary technician, I have been in wildlife and small animal care for the past 14 years while dog sitting on the side. I am new to the Pittsburgh area and looking to find new clients! My previous experience includes zookeeping and wildlife rehabilitation in the Boston area for 7 years and then working for a professional dog sitting/hiking company in Medford MA for another 5 years. I moved to Pittsburgh to get my CVT (Certified Veterinary Technician license) in 2024, and now work at a lovely little small animal clinic. I am well versed in animals with complex medication/therapy needs, such as insulin administration and exacting medication timing requirements. I am also very experienced with exotics, particularly birds. I work full time Monday-Friday so I am primarily seeking weekend and holiday pet-sitting arrangements. I am also happy to work in drop in cat care around this type of schedule as well. I cannot currently offer in my own home pet care due to landlord request, but I have been dog/cat/house sitting in clients homes for 14 years and am experienced with maintaining specific pet routines and training schedules. I have a leave no trace policy when it comes to other peoples homes. I am also very happy to water plants and manage aquarium care as needed. I also do not drink or party, I just need a sofa and a good book.

About: Hi, I am Mamie (I have gone by Mamie since birth but am technically named Mary) and I am a lifelong pet person, and professional sitter. I am relatively new to Rover specifically, but am in my 40's and have cared for other people's pets for over 15 years, both here in Pittsburgh and in Seattle where I am originally from. I am fully privately insured for pet sitting and dog walking and carry broadened property damage coverage, animal bailee coverage and veterinary reimbursement coverage. I do two check ins a day with lots of pictures, and am a quick responder to messages (my average response time is 6 min). My most consistent feedback is that i am very communicative and professional, and that owners feel secure and never worry about their pets well-being when they are with me! My mother was a vet tech and I grew up rescuing many animals, and continued that tradition into adulthood, so I have ample experience in a multitude of pet types and situations I work as a housekeeper around the Pittsburgh area from about 7am-3pm mon-thursday, so will not be available in the home or for potty breaks during those hours. The absolute longest I would leave a pet during a house-sitting is 8 hours on those days, but quite often it's only 4-6 hours that i am working. All other outings/errands would be less than four hours, tops, but usually only about an hour. I am comfortable with more or less any pet, from rodents to lizards and I am not squirmish about even the creepy crawlies and slithery noodles. I can and have given almost every kind of medication there is, including subcutaneous injections, and am comfortable doing so with care and compassion and confidence. I am clean, responsible, and trustworthy. I will only take jobs with a meet and greet beforehand, and you can get a feel for my vibe and professionalism at that time, but I am sure you will like me and feel comfortable having me in your home. As a housekeeper I am used to going into strangers homes and having a high level of integrity and care for their space and belongings. I also am very clean and fastidious. I keep things looking like I wasn't there as much as possible, and will clean litter boxes daily and change water bowls daily and do deep cleans of water fountains 1x a week. I work as a housekeeper from 7am-3pm mon-thursday around the greater Pittsburgh area. If you have multiple dogs who need round the clock supervision and you book me at least three weeks before the sitting start date, than we could work that out and I could block out my housekeeping schedule for that time and just be available for the sitting job (my rates will be increased in this situation as I am priced for my current availability, not constant care and being unable to make my normal wages during the sit). In clients homes I am respectful, clean, tidy, responsible and trustworthy. I mind my business and am not judgemental. I will spend lots of time loving and socializing your pets, and I set alarms and try to keep potty breaks frequent to avoid accidents and less stress.

About: I’ve loved dogs and been surrounded for as long as I can remember: taking them on walks, teaching them tricks, and tending to their needs 🐾 So, I’d love to step in and help with yours whenever/whatever needed. My full-time job offers a lot of flexibility since I build my own schedule and have the ability to work remotely rather than being in the office every day. Whether it’s walks, drop-ins, or spending a little extra time with your pet, I’m able to plan my schedule around their needs and make sure they’re getting plenty of attention and care! I’m most comfortable with the everyday care that keeps pets happy, healthy, and comfortable while their owners are away. This includes feeding, fresh water, walks, bathroom breaks, playtime, exercise, and of course plenty of attention and company! I’m also happy to follow any specific routines or instructions you have for your pet. About: I have been helping to take care of animals of all kinds since I got my first dog at 5 years old. Now 21, I have over 15 years of animal care experience by helping the pets of family, friends, and neighbors. I have my Girl Scout Bronze Award for setting up a pet fair that helped raise awareness and funds for local organizations that benefit animals. I am accustomed to training new pets and ensuring that senior pets get the best care they need. I can walk, feed, play, and do anything you may need to ensure that your pet is well taken care of while you are away. I am currently working part time, which entails that I have a very flexible schedule and am able to make anything work. I am willing to sit at my own residence and yours. I also have experience with house sitting. I am so excited to get to work caring for your furry friends! My schedule is very flexible which means I have plenty of time to spare on making sure your pets are okay and taken care of. I do work mostly in the evenings, only about 2-3 days a week but am never there past 8pm. I am essentially open from morning until evening nearly all day every day. My backyard is fenced off and has two levels ensuring that your pets have plenty of room to run and play! I also have a dog of my own to make sure your pet has someone to play with. My house is very secure and has lots of friendly neighbors with their own pets who would love to play and meet yours. Sadly I had to leave him at home with my parents so I would love to bond with another dogs. Before my cockapoo, I had a bischon frise my entire life.
