I've been privileged to make petsitting my full-time job since October 2021. After starting very part-time, pet sitting has gradually grown into full-time work for me.

Safety, trust & environment
My husband Rob and I have two indoor cats. They're brothers who were feral as kittens and are doing wonderfully now, but are still quite skittish. For this reason, I'm not offering day care or boarding services at this time. DOGS: Though I currently have no dogs at home, my family and I have had several high-energy, playful large dogs over the years: Labs, Boxers, and large mutts. I've cared for dogs of all sizes, from toy breeds up through Huskies, Newfoundlands, and Great Danes, and from puppies to elderly dogs. CATS: I'm very accustomed to interacting with cats of all levels of energy and sociability. From the shy ones who hide in the basement and just want their dinner on time, to the love nuggets who purr and play non-stop — I adore them all!
Information Elise M. would like to know about your pet
Special needs and preferences are key for me to understand and account for. How your dog reacts to other leashed dogs, people on the street, etc. are also very important factors to know in advance. Regarding any training that's underway: Is it fine to just walk, or would you like your dog to have some practice with sit/stay/heel/etc.?
A typical day
DOGS: Walks, walks, and walks! If your yard or indoor space allow for it, lots of off-leash outdoor play too (including fetch, "soccer," hide-the-treat games, etc.). Lots of pets and scritches, too. CATS: I'm very accustomed to interacting with cats of all levels of sociability, from the ones who hide in the basement and just want their dinner on time to the love nuggets who purr and play non-stop. I love them all and do my best to engage the shy ones on whatever level they're comfortable, even if it's just a sniff of my hand and leaving them a treat nearby. For both: I generally "chat" with the pets I work with, using a gentle voice. I believe that it helps reassure pets who are missing their people!

I love dogs, cats + communication!
Pet care experience
In addition to years of professional pet sitting, I've been an “auntie” for friends' and family members' pets for years while caring for my own dogs and cats. "Good communication" is mentioned often in my client reviews. My detailed visit reports, multiple photos, and timely responses bring peace of mind to pet owners while they're traveling or working.

Reviews

Took fantastic care of my three cats once again! I enjoyed my vacation knowing they were under good hands.

Elise was absolutely amazing for my work trip. Tons of pictures, and updates. She even fixed my pet camera that got knocked over for me and really went above and beyond. Thank you so much (:

Came right on time and provided plenty of pictures and updates during visit. 10/10 would definitely book again.

Elise took great care of our dog while we traveled! I was at ease knowing she was well cared for and appreciated all of the photos and updates! Highly recommend.
