About: Hi, I am Mamie (I have gone by Mamie since birth but am technically named Mary) and I am a lifelong pet person, and professional sitter! I am fully privately insured for pet sitting and dog walking and carry broadened property damage coverage, animal bailee coverage and veterinary reimbursement coverage. I do two check ins a day with LOTS of pictures, and am a quick responder to messages (my average response time is 6 min). My most consistent feedback is that i am very communicative and professional, and that owners feel secure and never worry about their pets well-being when they are with me! My mother was a vet tech and I grew up rescuing and helping with medical care, years of volunteer work with multiple animal shelters, 20+ years of pet ownership myself and a few years of professional sitting experience both here in Pittsburgh and in Seattle. I have ample experience in a multitude of pet types and situations. I work as a housekeeper around the Pittsburgh area along with Pet Sitting and drop-ins during the day. Most jobs take me away from the home 4-6 hours at a time, the absolute longest I will/ever have left pets during the day is 8 hours, but that is rare and discussed/agreed upon with pet parents before booking. Constant care (any let that cannot be left alone 2-4 hours at a time) is available at an increased rate of 2.5x my normal daily rate. I am experienced and comfortable with oral medications and subcutaneous injections and administer meds with care, compassion and confidence. Injections do incur a small extra cost to service ($5/injection) for increased risk and expertise. I am clean, responsible, professional and trustworthy. I will only take jobs with a meet and greet beforehand, for the safety, individualized care and comfort of all of us (me, you and your pet babies.) As a housekeeper I am used to going into strangers homes and having a high level of integrity and care for their space and belongings and am very clean and fastidious. I keep things looking like I wasn't there as much as possible. I will clean litter boxes daily, change water bowls daily and do deep cleans of water fountains 1x a week. I do house-sitting and drop-ins throughout the Pittsburgh area, as well as a few short housekeeping jobs throughout the week. For house-sitting I make your home my "base" and am in and out throughout the day if I have other jobs scheduled, normally gone about 4-6 hours at a time. I am very open and communicative about my schedule with pet parents and spend the majority of my days with your pet and always stay overnight. If I don't have other jobs scheduled during the day than I am spending my day with your babies, same as you would! I do offer constant care with enough notice to block out my schedule, at an increased rate of 2.5x my daily price to cover lost wages from my daytime bookings. In clients homes I am respectful, clean, tidy, responsible and trustworthy. I mind my business and am not judgemental. I ask lots of questions at the meet and greet and keep extensive notes on each pet that I keep on file and can be updated regularly/are available for all current and future bookings.

About: Hello there, I am a certified Veterinary technician, I have been in wildlife and small animal care for the past 14 years while dog sitting on the side. I am new to the Pittsburgh area and looking to find new clients! My previous experience includes zookeeping and wildlife rehabilitation in the Boston area for 7 years and then working for a professional dog sitting/hiking company in Medford MA for another 5 years. I moved to Pittsburgh to get my CVT (Certified Veterinary Technician license) in 2024, and now work at a lovely little small animal clinic. I am well versed in animals with complex medication/therapy needs, such as insulin administration and exacting medication timing requirements. I am also very experienced with exotics, particularly birds. I work full time Monday-Friday so I am primarily seeking weekend and holiday pet-sitting arrangements. I am also happy to work in drop in cat care around this type of schedule as well. I have been dog/cat/house sitting in clients homes for 14 years and am experienced with maintaining specific pet routines and training schedules. I have a leave no trace policy when it comes to other peoples homes. I am also very happy to water plants and manage aquarium care as needed. I also do not drink or party, I just need a sofa and a good book. Because I work with animals and want to keep everyone protected I will require that all animals I watch be on a flea preventative and be rabies vaccinated.

About: I’ve been working with a variety of dogs of all different breeds for roughly 6 years via dog walking, dog sitting, etc! I love dogs of all kinds! I’m a doctoral student of occupational therapy, so most of my time is spent working via fieldwork and doing homework. I am free on Tuesdays & Thursdays for drop ins/walks, and on weekends for housesitting. I’m happy to help with any household needs specified during housesitting! About: I am a big dog lover and I have grown up around all sorts of animals. I love to hike and will take your dog with me! I also love cuddles, playing fetch, and anything else that your dog likes. I have experience with small and big dogs, as well as other animals. I am happy to meet all of your dogs needs! I have a house with all wood floors, so I happily take puppies that need a little help getting potty trained. I also recently fenced my yard! My pup is an escape artist so I have a dog gate that prevents dogs from getting out of my front door when I open it. If your dog is a puller on leash, I am very used to that! :) I am a big believer in positive training--I am happy to take puppies/dogs that are sensitive/need some extra help warming up. I think that fear-based/negative reinforcement training (things like yelling at dogs/pinning them to the ground--things that trainers still unfortunately do) are very bad and hurtful for dogs. You can assured that your dog will only receive encouragement and pets and treats at my house :) Also, one of my dogs has a disease that requires a daily pill and monthly shot, so I am very familiar with injections and pills. (I take medicine very seriously as I know the consequences can be dire of missing a dose). A little about me: I grew up in Montana and recently moved to Storrs upon graduation with my BA; I am looking to earn a little additional income and spend some time with dogs. I am a graduate student at UConn in the department of economics, currently. My schedule is fairly flexible and allows me to get home often. About: Hi!! My name is Taylor, and I am a very passionate animal lover:) I have two Frenchies and am an experienced foster Mom through East Coast Bulldog Rescue. I own a local cleaning company, and the best part of my job is all the pets I get to see! I grew up with cats and absolutely adore them. I am experienced with animals with medical needs, senior pets, I can administer any and all medication, and am not scared of a lengthy specific routine:) I am a brachycephalic dog specialist, so any dog or cat is in good hands with me. I treat every animal like they are my own, so cuddles and attention are to be expected when your pet is in my care. I own a local business, but due to my amazing employees I work 5 hours a week or less. Animals are my life, so a typical day for me revolves around hanging out with my pups and relaxing on our balcony/playing with their toys/going for walks! About: I grew up in a house with 6 rescue dogs of all sizes. Through that I’ve learned how to care for animals including those with special needs. I’m experienced with administering medication, including injections, to animals. I’ve provided care for my diabetic dog as well as post-surgical care following spinal surgery. I work very well with animals of all sizes and ages and am confident that I can properly care for your beloved pet. I promise that I will love and care for your pet as if it were my own! I’m currently a law school graduate studying for my bar exam. With that being said, my availability is very flexible while I focus on my studies. I’m very adaptable and will work with you to ensure that your pet is as comfortable as possible and receives the care necessary as preferred by the owner.
