About: I’ve had a mix of dogs, cats, and fancy rats since I was little. In that time I’ve handled care for pets — both mine and others’ — as they grow from youth into their elder years, including training, petsitting, and ensuring quality veterinary care. I love animals of all kinds! I consider it a tremendous privilege in my life to provide them with love and safety. I currently work part-time and have a flexible schedule. I’m available for walks and drop-in pet care throughout the week, usually for mornings and midday but sometimes I can fit evenings in as well. I do my best to understand and maintain your pet’s routine and individual needs to minimize stress for everyone! Whether they need a lot of play and exercise, prefer to chill on the couch, or have exacting health requirements, I’m happy to discuss and adjust to your unique pet and situation.
“It was our first time using Rover and Lindsey was an excellent companion and dog walker for our pit bull mix! Her report after each visit was thorough and usually included an extra anecdote about their time together and great pictures! Lindsey very concerned and asked for our advice when our dog wasn't eating much food when we initially left. We appreciated her initiative. When there was a big rain storm and they couldn't walk outside, Lindsey spent the time playing with our dog inside and gave him the attention and exercise that he needed. Overall a great experience and highly recommend Lindsey!”

“Ericka was such a huge help and was so responsive. We look forward to working with her again when we are in Pittsburgh. Thank you so much for your help!”

About: I limit the number of pets so they get personalized love and attention. From shy senior cats to high-energy puppies, I have had and worked with all ages and needs. I provide frequent updates catered to the owner’s request. I like to build trust through consistence and long-term relationships so your pet sees a familiar face and is happy. I am retiring from teaching and will have a part time work-from-home job and will have plenty of time for love and cuddles with your pets. I walk several times a day so your dog (or walking cat), gets plenty of exercise. I have a fenced in covered patio so they get plenty of fresh air! Again, I walk several times a day, have a park at the end of my road, I have a fenced in patio and there is a dog park within walking distance of my home. If they ride well in a car, I will take them to a big park for walks and dog park socialization. I have had dogs since I was born and cats all of my adult life. I have watched many animals for friends, families, neighbors, etc. I have had rabbits, turtles, fish, iguanas as well. I have a special place in my heart for animals.
“Ashley has been walking Thor for a few months now and since she started Thor has had some medical issues requiring Ashley to give him a pill. In addition he’s become more difficult and picky with eating. Ashley has been extremely supportive through this making sure she does what she can to get Thor to eat and take his pill.”
“Elise is an awesome dog Walker. I trust her 100% with my dog Logan who gets along really well with her. I feel comfortable with her going in my apartment when I’m not there. She gives updates which I love and photos are a plus”

“Thanks so much to Lara for filling in when my dog walker was out of town. It was so appreciated and I will certainly be contacting her again in the future for fill ins!”

“Richard walked our two dogs for the first time recently and the experience exceeded my expectations. Both are extra large dogs--80 and 130 pounds. Not easy customers (both react to deer, dogs, etc.), but he managed them very capably. He was very knowledgeable, timely, and attuned to the dogs needs, as well as agreeable to work with. Will definitely book him again.”

About: I've had cats for over 20 years, all of my adult life. I'm expert at giving medications. I've also owned smaller dogs. I subscribe to positive reinforcement training. I live in the heart of Dormont. Have experience with cats and small/medium dogs. I drive so no issues with transportation. My availability is open! I prefer to watch your pet(s) in your home. If you leave me a schedule, including food, treats, play, and walk times, I will stick to that precisely. I feel that pets not only need a routine, but they do much better in their own environment. If there's an emergency, I will be able to bring them to my home. Obviously communication will be key, and this is only for extenuating circumstances (if I feel they are unsafe due to unforeseen situations). My goal is to continue their established routine, so when you come home, there will be a smooth transition.
“Kristin is so great! She sends us lots of updates when she takes Jets on walks, she has been so helpful with us getting Jet adjusted to his new house. We will continue to use Kristin for walks! :)”

About: I am an artist based in Brookline~Pittsburgh looking to provide care and build relationships with furry friends in my community. My availability is flexible, so let me know what you need. I am conscientious, responsible, and communicative. I am also available for pet-portrait paintings and drawings by commission. I have spent my life with dogs and I know that each one has their unique personalities and needs. My goal is to be a consistent caretaker and companion to your pet. I have dog-sat, cat-sat, and walked professionally and for canine family members and friends. I know dogs and cats are special people who deserve care and companionship tailored to them! My schedule is currently flexible. I recently chose to change course from many years in retail, organizing and teaching. I am open to planning a new schedule as I draft my new course. Impromptu offers are welcome. I'll always accommodate if I can! My home is spacious with many cozy couches and space to play. There's easy access to walks or jogs around the neighborhood, as our entrance is on a backstreet, not the boulevard. I host with an adaptive approach depending on pets' preferences. I'll tailor their day to day routines to what their used to at home. Including loving attention, dining schedule, couch time or staying off furniture, frequency and activity level of walks and play, and whatever requests you have to help your dog be comfortable while you're away.
About: I have been around dogs and cats my entire life. I have been called on by friends and family to pet sit while they were away, and I’ve been told how loving I am when it comes to taking care of animals. I am very tentative and will give your pets the love they need while you’re away! I am currently working part time. I work some weeknights mainly from about 4pm-10pm, but will have someone to sit at home while I am working if I happen to be dog sitting at the time. I do plan to take on a smaller schedule with my job here soon. I have a fenced yard to let your fur baby out to play! I have little ones who will keep him/her lots of company as they love fur babies as much as I do.
“Krista is an absolute gem! Buddy took to her right away which is always a good sign as he doesn't always respond well to new people. Krista is a warm, caring & loving person which shows with how she treats another's dog. Always on time, gives Buddy plenty of exercise & I'm grateful to have her!”

Banksville dog parents share their Rover experiences
Sarah is amazing!! She genuinely cares about your dog’s well being and sends updates after each walk. Which as a helicopter dog mom, I absolutely love. I had only ever trusted family to watch my dog Nash, so handing him off to someone new was a big deal for me. Sarah made it easy by meeting Nash before his first walk, and I immediately felt comfortable with him in her care. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and communicative, I 1000% recommend Sarah!

I booked Jessicah to walk Ivory my 5 year old high energy husky mix while I recovered from knee surgery. Her reviews were excellent but the deciding factor was her location, near to my home. She has been walking Ivory now for 2 months and she has won both Ivory’s and my heart. I trust her completely with Ivory. Not only is she a caring animal person she also has an upbeat happy attitude. I know she walks several dogs a day but she greets Ivory as if she is the only dog she walks. Ivory loves their time together and watches at the window for her. If you are looking for a person to take care of your much loved pet when you can’t I would highly recommend Nicole & Jessicah.
