“Amanda and her son were great with Nash! He loves little kids and I’m sure it made his day getting to play! She was super responsive and was able to take Nash out last minute which relieved a lot of stress when my prior arrangement fell through the night before. Would definitely recommend!”

About: I've taken care of dogs of all kinds and look forward to hosting or walking yours. We live close to a dog park and have a mid size fenced in yard I'm currently working part time and have a generally pretty open schedule. I have a medium size fenced in yard which is super handy as well I have a fenced in yard and a sweet dog to keep your fur baby company. We also have two cats who like to be on their own. We live in a great neighborhood for walks which is super convenient
About: I’ve been a dog person my whole life, from growing up with Winnie and Hairdo to caring for my soul dog Cici (Khaleesi) for nearly 14 years. I lost my sweet girl in July and now I have a whole lot of love to give without anywhere to put it. 🥹 Your pup will be treated like royalty with plenty of walks, playtime, cuddles, and attention... just the way Queen Cici demanded. 👑 I work from home, so my schedule is flexible with plenty of time to give your pup attention between meetings and emails. My day job is in social media so you can guarantee to receive Instagram-worthy photo pupdates while your dog is with me. I’m super active and love a long northside sniff walk. I’m often available for early mornings, lunchtime visits, and late evenings. I’m happy to work with your dog’s routine and needs. My home is set up really well for dogs, with an almost fully fenced-in backyard and a covered deck for relaxing outside. I’m on a quiet street in East Allegheny, with cute spots around for treats like Garden Cafe and ACB. My apartment is on the second floor of a house, so there are stairs to get in and two steps inside the apartment as well.
“Ashley is awesome! She’s super responsive to texts and flexible. She takes care of Shiloh like her own hound dogs, and he looks forward to her every time. Couldn’t recommend her enough!!”

About: Since I was born, I have had dogs and cats around me. I have delivered cats and dogs when living on a farm, and taken care of them my whole life. I have experience working with dogs and cats of all ages, as well as reactive and rescue animals. Although I do not currently have any pets of my own, I often am the friend who pet sits because of my love for animals. I would love to eventually get my own animal, but I am not currently in the financial situation to provide the life for an animal that it deserves, so this is a fun way for me to be around animals! I work remote, so I have very open flexibility. I am the go-to friend when going out of town and needing someone to care for your baby. I am easily able to work on the go, and can even work from your own home if needed. As well, I am a graduate student, but I only have classes in the evening. Because of my flexible schedule, I am able to visit your pet in their own home, and take them out regularly for walks and bathroom breaks. In my own home, I do not currently have any pets, but I have a pet friendly home and a large fenced in back yard. I am comfortable being in a client's home and taking their dogs around their neighborhoods. Because of my housing situation, I offer boarding services. I have lots of space for big dogs, and my backyard creates a safe space for reactive dogs to get some energy out without other people or dogs around.
About: Hello there, I am a certified Veterinary technician, I have been in wildlife and small animal care for the past 14 years while dog sitting on the side. I am new to the Pittsburgh area and looking to find new clients! My previous experience includes zookeeping and wildlife rehabilitation in the Boston area for 7 years and then working for a professional dog sitting/hiking company in Medford MA for another 5 years. I moved to Pittsburgh to get my CVT (Certified Veterinary Technician license) in 2024, and now work at a lovely little small animal clinic. I am well versed in animals with complex medication/therapy needs, such as insulin administration and exacting medication timing requirements. I am also very experienced with exotics, particularly birds. I work full time Monday-Friday so I am primarily seeking weekend and holiday pet-sitting arrangements. I am also happy to work in drop in cat care around this type of schedule as well. I cannot currently offer in my own home pet care due to landlord request, but I have been dog/cat/house sitting in clients homes for 14 years and am experienced with maintaining specific pet routines and training schedules. I have a leave no trace policy when it comes to other peoples homes. I am also very happy to water plants and manage aquarium care as needed. I also do not drink or party, I just need a sofa and a good book.

About: I have always grown up with dogs. We usually had 3 large dogs at all times in my house. I have now lived on my own for 4 years taking care of my dog, Cash. He is the absolute joy of my life. I enjoy walking and being active. I can’t wait to meet your pet and shower them with love and exercise! I have a very flexible schedule where I work from home most days so I am more than able to make time for your pet! I have a fenced in yard and a dog myself who is very friendly and loves playing with other dogs. I also have 2 dog parks within a short walk from where I live. I also enjoy going for walks in my very safe neighborhood!
About: I have had dogs all of my life that were all gotten while they were puppies. Have taught so many fun tricks that I can pass to your best friend too. I’m currently available at all hours to take care of your best friend(s). Though I am active my trainings and games usually keep me busy for a maximum of two hours. I have a nice and safe apartment with easy access to outside and a quick walk to Point State Park will give them all the grass they could ever dream of.
“Richard walked our two dogs for the first time recently and the experience exceeded my expectations. Both are extra large dogs--80 and 130 pounds. Not easy customers (both react to deer, dogs, etc.), but he managed them very capably. He was very knowledgeable, timely, and attuned to the dogs needs, as well as agreeable to work with. Will definitely book him again.”

“Lyla was great. Communication was easy from the start, and she was reliable about showing up every day we had scheduled. No chasing her down for updates, no last minute cancellations. If you’re looking for a dog walker you can actually count on, she’s a good pick.”

About: I am a big dog lover and I have grown up around all sorts of animals. I love to hike and will take your dog with me! I also love cuddles, playing fetch, and anything else that your dog likes. I have experience with small and big dogs, as well as other animals. I am happy to meet all of your dogs needs! I have a house with all wood floors, so I happily take puppies that need a little help getting potty trained. I also recently fenced my yard! My pup is an escape artist so I have a dog gate that prevents dogs from getting out of my front door when I open it. If your dog is a puller on leash, I am very used to that! :) I am a big believer in positive training--I am happy to take puppies/dogs that are sensitive/need some extra help warming up. I think that fear-based/negative reinforcement training (things like yelling at dogs/pinning them to the ground--things that trainers still unfortunately do) are very bad and hurtful for dogs. You can assured that your dog will only receive encouragement and pets and treats at my house :) Also, one of my dogs has a disease that requires a daily pill and monthly shot, so I am very familiar with injections and pills. (I take medicine very seriously as I know the consequences can be dire of missing a dose). A little about me: I grew up in Montana and recently moved to Storrs upon graduation with my BA; I am looking to earn a little additional income and spend some time with dogs. I am a graduate student at UConn in the department of economics, currently. My schedule is fairly flexible and allows me to get home often. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. I work from home other than a few hours a week, so I have plenty of time to exercise and spend time with your pup! I have a fenced yard and two friendly dogs! I only take one client and a time and I always do careful introductions with you there. In my home, we are careful and have supervised play time with toys.

Dog parents share their Rover experiences - Duquesne Heights
Jeremy was very thoughtful and he was asking a lot of questions about Buddy. He wanted to get to know him before his walk. I appreciate that! Jeremy was on time and took pride in his job! He is differently an animal lover! He was very thoughtful about our concern about Buddy. Very responsible!

I’m incredibly pleased with Matthew’s help with our dogs as a regular customer (three times per week). He’s always on time and he’s very attentive as he follows our instructions exactly as we’ve asked. He does great with our very anxious and sometimes reactive dog. I cannot recommend him enough.
Great experience with Mario! He reliable, communicative, and compassionate about the care of animals. I always get great updates and photos, and it’s clear my dog is happy and comfortable with him. Mario had been a huge help with walks and letting my puppy out during the day while I’m at work. Highly recommend!

Sarah is amazing!! She genuinely cares about your dog’s well being and sends updates after each walk. Which as a helicopter dog mom, I absolutely love. I had only ever trusted family to watch my dog Nash, so handing him off to someone new was a big deal for me. Sarah made it easy by meeting Nash before his first walk, and I immediately felt comfortable with him in her care. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and communicative, I 1000% recommend Sarah!
