About: As someone who is always trying to live vicariously through dog owners, I have been a reliable and eager puppy and cat sitter since I was young - for friends, coworkers, neighbors, and extended family. I have experience and am comfortable feeding and exercising large and small dogs, puppies and seniors. I have always had cats, and have plenty of experience with administering oral medicines and asthma treatment. I am comfortable with cleaning messes, longterm stays, overnights, and honestly whatever else is needed during your time away. I would love to send pictures and updates of your pets as much as you would like them - your pets become main characters in my life within minutes of meeting them! I am your introverted, nurturing childless millennial that treats every animal with endless attention and love. As a speech-language pathologist, I also think that understanding animal communication and respecting boundaries are key. If your pet is showing me they need space, I will listen to them and make sure they are well fed, their needs are met and a soft presence is near. If they are showing me that they need more love and attention, I will stay and give them more love and attention! I can’t wait to meet your furry family. Right now, my schedule is wonderfully flexible. I’m a teacher on summer break and transitioning into a teletherapy position, so I have plenty of availability to care for your pets throughout the day. I believe pets are happiest when their routines stay as consistent as possible, so I make it a priority to learn each pet’s normal schedule, preferences, personality, and needs before their owner leaves. In a client’s home, I carefully follow feeding schedules, refresh water, clean litter boxes and outdoor areas as needed, administer medications when required, and make sure pets receive the exercise, enrichment, affection, and companionship they have when you’re home. I pay close attention to body language, behavior changes, appetite, energy levels, and overall well-being. As a speech-language pathologist, communication is a big part of my professional life, and I bring that same attentiveness to the animals in my care. I believe good pet care means respecting boundaries, recognizing needs, and responding appropriately to what an animal is communicating. I also love sending photos and updates, because I know how reassuring it is to see your pet happy and comfortable while you’re away. My goal is always to provide a safe, calm, loving environment and to care for your pets the same way I would hope someone would care for my own.

About: Hello there, I am a certified Veterinary technician, I have been in wildlife and small animal care for the past 14 years while dog sitting on the side. I am new to the Pittsburgh area and looking to find new clients! My previous experience includes zookeeping and wildlife rehabilitation in the Boston area for 7 years and then working for a professional dog sitting/hiking company in Medford MA for another 5 years. I moved to Pittsburgh to get my CVT (Certified Veterinary Technician license) in 2024, and now work at a lovely little small animal clinic. I am well versed in animals with complex medication/therapy needs, such as insulin administration and exacting medication timing requirements. I am also very experienced with exotics, particularly birds. I work full time Monday-Friday so I am primarily seeking weekend and holiday pet-sitting arrangements. I am also happy to work in drop in cat care around this type of schedule as well. I have been dog/cat/house sitting in clients homes for 14 years and am experienced with maintaining specific pet routines and training schedules. I have a leave no trace policy when it comes to other peoples homes. I am also very happy to water plants and manage aquarium care as needed. I also do not drink or party, I just need a sofa and a good book. Because I work with animals and want to keep everyone protected I will require that all animals I watch be on a flea preventative and be rabies vaccinated.

About: I cared for my family dog for years, and other dogs in my home neighborhood until I moved out. I get so much joy from being around animals. I have never come across a stray cat that didn't want to be my friend. I don't currently live with any pets which is why I am eager to petsit so I can spend time with some wonderful dogs and cats. I have a lot of free time during the week for extended stays or multiple drop-ins in a day. I love animals and I will give your pet all of my attention, and be sure they are loved and cared for. About: I have had dogs all of my life that were all gotten while they were puppies. Have taught so many fun tricks that I can pass to your best friend too. I’m currently available at all hours to take care of your best friend(s). Though I am active my trainings and games usually keep me busy for a maximum of two hours. I have a nice and safe apartment with easy access to outside and a quick walk to Point State Park will give them all the grass they could ever dream of.

About: I've always enjoyed being around animals, and over the years I've had the chance to care for both dogs and cats for family. I've watched my girlfriend's family's three senior cats (now 15, 14, and 21 years old) several times while they've been out of town, making sure they're fed, have fresh water, and keeping their litter boxes clean. Caring for a 21-year-old cat has taught me how important patience and consistency are with senior pets. I've also cared for my brothers' dogs—a 5-year-old Siberian Husky and a 7-year-old German Shepherd/Husky mix—sometimes for several days at a time. That includes feeding, walks, playtime, bathroom breaks, and giving them plenty of attention. I'm comfortable with high-energy dogs as well as older cats and always treat every pet like they're my own. I'm currently a full-time student finishing my last semester of college while working part time as a digital forensics intern. During the summer, my internship is Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and I'm available for pet care anytime after my internship each day. Once the fall semester begins, my internship is on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, while my classes are on Tuesdays and Thursdays until 4:00 p.m. I'm also available most evenings and weekends, so I have a very flexible schedule and am happy to work around you and your pet's needs. Whether I'm caring for pets in my home or visiting them in theirs, I always focus on making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and respected. About: Hi, I am Mamie (I have gone by Mamie since birth but am technically named Mary) and I am a lifelong pet person, and professional sitter! I am fully privately insured for pet sitting and dog walking and carry broadened property damage coverage, animal bailee coverage and veterinary reimbursement coverage. I do two check ins a day with LOTS of pictures, and am a quick responder to messages (my average response time is 6 min). My most consistent feedback is that i am very communicative and professional, and that owners feel secure and never worry about their pets well-being when they are with me! My mother was a vet tech and I grew up rescuing and helping with medical care, years of volunteer work with multiple animal shelters, 20+ years of pet ownership myself and a few years of professional sitting experience both here in Pittsburgh and in Seattle. I have ample experience in a multitude of pet types and situations. I work as a housekeeper around the Pittsburgh area along with Pet Sitting and drop-ins during the day. Most jobs take me away from the home 4-6 hours at a time, the absolute longest I will/ever have left pets during the day is 8 hours, but that is rare and discussed/agreed upon with pet parents before booking. Constant care (any let that cannot be left alone 2-4 hours at a time) is available at an increased rate of 2.5x my normal daily rate. I am experienced and comfortable with oral medications and subcutaneous injections and administer meds with care, compassion and confidence. Injections do incur a small extra cost to service ($5/injection) for increased risk and expertise. I am clean, responsible, professional and trustworthy. I will only take jobs with a meet and greet beforehand, for the safety, individualized care and comfort of all of us (me, you and your pet babies.) As a housekeeper I am used to going into strangers homes and having a high level of integrity and care for their space and belongings and am very clean and fastidious. I keep things looking like I wasn't there as much as possible. I will clean litter boxes daily, change water bowls daily and do deep cleans of water fountains 1x a week. I do house-sitting and drop-ins throughout the Pittsburgh area, as well as a few short housekeeping jobs throughout the week. For house-sitting I make your home my "base" and am in and out throughout the day if I have other jobs scheduled, normally gone about 4-6 hours at a time. I am very open and communicative about my schedule with pet parents and spend the majority of my days with your pet and always stay overnight. If I don't have other jobs scheduled during the day than I am spending my day with your babies, same as you would! I do offer constant care with enough notice to block out my schedule, at an increased rate of 2.5x my daily price to cover lost wages from my daytime bookings. In clients homes I am respectful, clean, tidy, responsible and trustworthy. I mind my business and am not judgemental. I ask lots of questions at the meet and greet and keep extensive notes on each pet that I keep on file and can be updated regularly/are available for all current and future bookings.
