“Sadie is a wonderful pup sitter! She's been checking in on my 2 pupps for dinner and potty time every weekend for a few months. The dogs are happy, and excited when I say her name before I leave for work. Directions are always carried out thoroughly, and communication about health concerns and pet behavior are always top notch. Sadie always does the best anyone could with Pittsburgh weather and thunder/rain averse dogs and gives great updates about her time in my home. The dogs are happy, im happy. I highly recommend her services 😊”

“Kathleen came for 30 minutes drop-in visits for our cats while we were away for about 11 days. She fed them, gave them pets, and played with them. Prior to our departure, she came for a meet and greet, and we gave her instructions on the cats' feeding and care. We found Kathleen to be responsive and responsible. She showed up everyday in the morning like we requested, and sent us notes and pictures while we were gone. She also responded to our messages in a timely manner. She was pleasant to work with, and we would like to book her again if we need help in the future. Thank you Kathleen!”

About: The moment I became eligible, I applied to volunteer as a dog walker at a local rescue shelter in Syracuse, New York. This experience allowed me to care for dogs of all sizes and temperaments, deepening my understanding of animal behavior and needs. Growing up with a paralyzed French Bulldog also gave me firsthand experience in providing compassionate, specialized care for animals with disabilities. I begin my full-time job in mid-August, so I’m currently not working and have wide open availability. I'm flexible and happy to work with your schedule to ensure your pet receives the care and attention they deserve! I provide attentive, well-rounded care tailored to each animal’s needs and comfort level. I prioritize reading a dog’s body language to ensure they feel safe. Whether it takes 15 minutes for a shy pup to warm up to me or I’m immediately on the floor playing with an energetic dog, I adapt my approach based on their temperament, size, and energy level. I aim to create a calm, positive environment so every pet feels secure.

“Dana is always super helpful and sweet with Ellie.”

About: For 15 years of my life, I lived next to a professional dog sitter. Anytime she needed help, I was there! Because of this, people always came to me to walk/take care of their pets! I’ve also had many pets of my own. I look forward to working with you and making sure your pets get the best care :) I work 8am-4pm Monday-Friday, so I’m mainly available early mornings, evenings, nights, overnights, and weekends! My schedule changes all the time though so feel free to reach out regardless! When I’ve walked dogs previously, I would take them to a nearby park. If they don’t like cars or traveling, around the neighborhood it is! If I’m stopping by the house, I’ll first complete all the tasks and then give the doggy lots of love :)

“We love Chelsea. She always takes great care of our senior dachshund and sends us updates, which is so appreciated. Could not recommend her more highly!”

About: I've taken care of many pets in my life. Cats, dogs, and even ferrets. I love all animals no matter the size. I have always wanted to care for animals all my life. I also love to take pet Portraits and keep my clients updated whenever needed! I currently work Monday to Friday 8 am to 4 pm. I'm available after 4pm every Monday to Friday. Most Weekends I'm available all day I clean my fur babies litter box every day to keep a healthy environment. I tend to brush their fur twice a week and always give them lots of love every day!

“I am glad my cat Dorita is also making friends with Richard and coming around more when he goes check on her! Richard takes care of my dog and cat both and he has been great so helpful to us!”

About: I’ve had several years of pet ownership and pet-sitting. I was never allowed to own a dog growing up, but I always had plenty of family members and friends with pets that I would watch. I also owned an Australian Shepherd for a year and have owned 2 cats for two years. Never met an animal that didn’t like me! I am currently working full-time in Coraopolis, so anything outside the hours of 7am-3:30pm is very doable. Weekends I am available any time that I am needed I am very good with pets in their homes. I understand they miss their owners and try my best to keep their routine as normal as possible to help them

About: We have been sitting dogs for almost 5 years now on Rover. My wife and I have had dogs our entire lives (mostly small) and we rescued Hanks during Covid, and we cannot wait to rescue another. I work on a hybrid schedule where I work from home on Monday and Friday (very flexible) and my wife, Erin, works from home full time. We have a fully fenced in yard for your pup to run around in a very quiet neighborhood. Hanks is great with other dogs and loves a friend. We also live on a dead end street so very little traffic. I work on a hybrid schedule (home on Monday’s and Friday’s) my wife works from home full time. We both have a good amount of flexibility during our work days, as well. That all depends on what you want. Hanks has free access in our home. Beds, furniture, etc. we have a fully fenced in yard so they can spend all day outside if the weather allows.

About: Hi, I am Mamie (I have gone by Mamie since birth but am technically named Mary) and I have had dogs, cats, and many smaller critters throughout my life, and my own pets for over 25 years. My mother was a vet tech and I grew up rescuing many animals, and continued that tradition into adulthood, so I have ample experience in a multitude of pet types and situations I am a housekeeper for my main job, so I am working around the Pittsburgh area 8am-4pm Monday through Thursday, but am otherwise available for all types of jobs. I am comfortable with more or less any pet, from rodents to lizards and I am not squirmish about even the creepy crawlies and slithery noodles. I can and have given almost every kind of medication there is, including subcutaneous injections, and am comfortable doing so with care and compassion and confidence. I am just starting out with professional pet sitting on Rovwr, I did it years ago in Seattle as a side gig on my own with Craigslist posts, but haven't done it in about 14 years. I am clean, responsible, and trustworthy. I will only take jobs with a meet and greet beforehand, and you can get a feel for my vibe and professionalism at that time, but I am sure you will like me and feel comfortable having me in your home. As a housekeeper I am used to going into strangers homes and having a high level of integrity and care for their space and belongings. I also am very clean and fastidious. I keep things looking like I wasn't there as much as possible, and will clean litter boxes daily and change water bowls daily and do deep cleans of water fountains 1x a week. I work as a housekeeper from 8am-4pm mon through Thursday right now, so those times I won't be able to be available in clients homes or for potty breaks, but am available at all other times. I don't do sitting in my own home since I have two cats and a husband and no fenced in yard. In clients homes I am respectful, clean, tidy, responsible and trustworthy. I mind my business and am not judgemental. I will spend lots of time loving and socializing your pets, and I set alarms and try to keep potty breaks frequent to avoid accidents and less stress.
