My puppy Breya seemed to be having fun by the pictures that were sent to me. When I picked her up she was tired and didn't even want to stick her head out the car window on the drive home. To me that means she had a good time and was occupied while there and not just laying around being ignored. She is an active puppy. Definitely will schedule with Amy again.

Buster had a blast with the dogs in the yard. He was all doggie smiles when we picked him up! On top of that, I booked for the wrong day and Richard was nothing but nice about it, and completely accommodating. We’ll be back when we come through Pittsburgh again.

Excellent dog sitter. My “puppy” loved his time with Rae. She also sent updates and pics of him from their walk, and time hanging out. I definitely hope to have my dog board or visit for day sitting again.

Tia was great! She accepted my request on short notice and made me feel at ease about leaving my boy Pete with her. We drove into town and needed a sitter for a few hours. She was the perfect choice for Pete the Pug. He was safe and secure in her fenced in yard. She also made him feel right at home letting him on her couch as part of the family. He made a new friend, Tang her adorable dog. She sent pictures and even a video to help ease my mind about dropping him off with a stranger away from home. I highly recommend her. And if we go back to Pittsburgh I will definitely book with her again.

About: I provide dependable, attentive care that’s tailored to each pet’s individual needs. As a graduate student, I have a structured routine and strong time management skills, which means your pet will get consistent, reliable care and attention. I’m especially mindful of safety, behavior, and comfort, and I take the time to learn each pet’s routine so they feel secure and at ease. I’m comfortable caring for dogs of all ages, including puppies who need patience and consistency, as well as senior dogs who may require a slower pace, extra support, or medication reminders. I focus on creating a calm, positive environment and use clear communication with owners so you always feel informed and confident while you’re away. What sets me apart is the level of thought and intention I bring to pet care. I treat every pet like they’re my own, and I prioritize trust, consistency, and a safe environment above everything. I’m a graduate student at Pitt and spend about 40 hours a week in clinical settings treating patients. Because of that, my weekday availability is more limited, but I can offer select drop-in visits during early mornings or evenings depending on the day. My weekends are much more flexible, and I’m fully available for drop-ins, walks, and overnight care from Friday through Sunday. I’m very organized with my schedule, so when I commit to a visit, you can count on me being reliable, punctual, and consistent. Safety and trust are my top priorities when caring for pets, whether in my home or a client’s home. I take the time to understand each pet’s routine, behavior, and any specific needs so I can provide consistent, stress-free care. I follow all instructions closely, including feeding schedules, medications, and exercise routines, to keep everything as familiar as possible for your pet. In a client’s home, I’m very respectful of your space and keep things clean, secure, and exactly as you left them. I make sure doors, gates, and leashes are always properly managed to prevent any safety issues, and I’m attentive to your pet at all times. If pets are in my home, they’ll have a calm, safe environment with plenty of supervision. I do have an unfenced yard, so all outdoor time would be closely monitored and leashed to ensure safety. I also prioritize communication, providing regular updates and photos so you feel confident and connected while you’re away. My goal is to create a safe, comfortable environment where your pet feels cared for and you have complete peace of mind.

About: I grew up with dogs and have loved animals my entire life. I have been a pet sitter for many friends and neighbors over the years and had my own canine companion for 10 years. She passed away in November of 2023. Animals deserve to be loved and treated like family. I promise that your dogs will be treated very well and that they will truly enjoy their “vacation” at my home. It’s difficult to leave your “loved ones” in the care of others and I know that feeling. Rest assured that they will be cared for and spoiled to the best of my ability! I am a behavioral therapist who works with children and families. I have a hybrid job which means that I work from home doing Telehealth services and I also see clients in person at times. I am home for most of the day and this worked perfectly when I cared for my late dog, Arwen. I do not have any pets currently. I have an elevated deck that is only accessible from the house. It is surrounded and my dog loved to spend time out there basking in the sun. I have a yard but it is not fenced in. My neighborhood is quiet and very dog friendly.

About: Hi! I’m Shelly 👋🏼 I’ve been surrounded by animals my whole life and truly can’t imagine it any other way. I grew up with four dogs at home, along with birds, fish, and even a few lizards. So caring for pets of all kinds just comes naturally to me. 🐾 I have experience with dogs from playful puppies to sweet seniors, and I make sure every pet gets the love and attention they deserve. Whether it’s walks, playtime, or just keeping them company, I’ll treat your fur baby like my own. I currently work part-time from home, so I’ll have plenty of time to care for your pet. They can keep me company while I do the same for them! Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, I focus on creating a calm, clean, and secure environment. I follow any specific routines or instructions you provide, including feeding schedules, crate training, medication, and exercise needs.

About: I have a deep love for animals especially since I have a 10 year old schnauzer back home in Florida who I miss every day. Being around pets again brings me joy and comfort, and I always strive to give that same feeling back to the animals I care for. I treat every dog like my own; with love, patience, and attention to their unique needs. I also genuinely enjoy walking outdoors, so your pup will always get the exercise and fresh air they deserve. Whether it’s energetic playtime or gentle care for seniors, I’m here to make them feel safe, happy, and loved. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine! I love going on walks every day, especially in the spring/ summertime. So taking dogs along just makes those moments even better. Since I work as a competitive gymnastics coach in the evenings, my mornings and afternoons are wide open for drop-ins, walks, and quality time with pets. It’s the perfect balance of movement, fresh air, and furry companionship! Whether I’m caring for pets in my client’s home or dropping in for a visit, I focus on making pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable. I take time to bond with each pet through play, cuddles, or just calm companionship. I treat every home with respect and every pet like family, always making sure they’re happy, exercised, and well cared for while you’re away.

About: I brought our two cats, Chili and Lok-Lok, all the way from China, but I grew up with dogs in my family and love both. I’ve taken care of my family’s and friends’ dogs and I heard about this app so I thought it might be fun to give it a try. Whenever I get called on to dog-sit for my friend here in Pittsburgh I like to go to the dog parks near the South Side river or jog along with them, rain or snow, and socialize with other dogs. Looking forward to meeting yours! I’m a PhD student at the University of Pittsburgh so summer and winter breaks are relatively free, and usually I’m only “working” 2-3 half days per week. I have to do a lot of reading and thinking so getting out of the house is a good way to take a break and process. I have a fenced yard where I do some gardening and let our cats out every day to chase bugs and birds. My friends have stayed over with their dogs and I just move the cats to the second floor and keep them there while the dogs take the first and the yard.

About: I have been taking care of dogs since my whole life since incan remember as a child. I grew up in California on 5 acres of property where we had our own dogs plus fostered other dogs. I have not had a dog since our last two passed away of old age because we are not ready as a family, but I would love to share my knowledge and experience to help care for your pets. I have cared for dogs of all ages and breeds from Chihuahuas to pitbull’s from puppies to seniors. I would love to show your pets, the same love and care I would show my own. I can take them on walks, do drop-in visits, provide play time and enrichment activities, feeding time, dog sit in my home, provide boarding and doggy day care. I am great at teaching new tricks and helping to teach them to walk great on a leach or harness. My schedule is completely open as i do not have standard day job right now. My family just bought a new home and I am currently staying home full time. I would work my chores and errands arojnd the needs of the animals I am caring for and my clients schedules for what they need. I would care for your pets in my home and keep them safe and happy. I can provide drop in visits in your home or overnight care or daytime sitting in my home. I can provide walks, feedings, and playtime. I would even love to help train your puppy on how to behave or fun new tricks just let me know what you are looking for.

Barrett was fantastic. I was passing through Pittsburgh on a holiday weekend and needed someone to watch my two 1 1/2-year-old beagles while I attended a Pirates games with friends. Barrett welcomed Harper & Quincy to his home, provided regular updates, and took great of them (including giving meds). Would absolutely use again.
