“Maria was a life saver! I’m a dog mom who works 12 hour shifts and Maria was happy to host my puppy from early morning to late evening, letting her out to potty hourly. About: Hello there dog lovers, my name is Sarah, and I can’t wait to meet you and your dog! I take small dogs (45 lbs and under) to board overnight in my big old 1928 Pittsburgh 3 bedroom house with a big fenced in yard. I have the sweetest English bulldog Hulk and we live with my best friend and housemates 2 small dogs, Rocky the 14 year old rat terrier and Princess Buttercup, a 1.5 yr toy poodle, too. They are adorable and well behaved and very used to visitors. Everybody eats in separate rooms & sleeps in the bed together, if they want! No crates or cages here, and I’m home all day working. I’ll also groom your pup if you’d like to add that on! I did grooming for years. We can’t wait to meet you and your dog! Please reach out with any questions. At my home, your pets will feel like part of the family. I have a huge, fully fenced-in yard where dogs can roam freely in and out all day long. Whether they enjoy lounging on the furniture or snuggling in bed, they’re welcome here! I provide plenty of toys, treats, and all the doggy essentials to keep them entertained and comfortable. I work from home, so your pet will have constant supervision and company all day. I live with three friendly dogs who are social and welcoming to new furry friends. They’re all well-behaved and love making new pals. I follow all feeding instructions and will stick to any guidelines you provide for your pet’s care. No crates unless specifically requested—your pet will have free roam to enjoy the space like they would at home. I’m dedicated to giving your pet a safe, fun, and loving environment during their stay! My house is very dog friendly and an open space for dogs to hang out. Toys everywhere and open space to hang out on furniture or in bed to snuggle. Very cool and comfy with a ton of toys to play with. I have hardwood floors and washable rugs and clean them often.

“Always, Milo had a wonderful time. The care & love given to him when he is with Brett & Nelia & family puts our minds totally at ease when he stays. I highly recommend them. They are tge best!”

“Michael and Maria were wonderful with taking care of our pug at their place. We were visiting Pittsburgh and needed to find a sitter to take care of our pug while we were out for a bit. Communication was excellent, responsive, and the status updates during our pug’s care was appreciated. Our pug has separation anxiety, but Maria was able to calm her down faster than the other sitters we have used. I could tell by comparing time stamps of the care text updates. We felt comfortable with Michael and Maria, and our pug came back to us very calm. We would book again if back in town. Thank you!”

About: I have been working with and caring for pets since the 1980s. I currently an self-employed and work from home while taking regular breaks to walk and tend to my own two dogs, Lincoln and Ginger, both of whom enjoy the company of other dogs. I also have two cats and experience caring for small rodents (gerbils, hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits, mice and rats), reptiles and amphibians, and fish. My philosophy is to let animals express their innate tendencies in a safe and structured environment so they feel loved, appreciated, and empowered to behave appropriately in the spaces they share with humans. I spent 20 years owning and operating restaurants and made a career change in 2023 when my sister received a terminal cancer diagnosis. I now work from home as a self-employed restaurant consultant in large part to be able to spend more time with my own pets, including a dog I inherited after my sister's passing. Pet care is at the center of my life and I'd be happy to help you with your pets as I also care for my own. My goal is to walk my dog for at least one hour everyday, and most of the time I achieve that! I frequently take him for outings to large off-leash parks so he can get a sufficient amount of exercise. I also clean my cats' litter boxes daily and feed everyone meals twice per day with some treats in between. If I am watching your dogs you can expect that I will treat them like my own.

“Amy was wonderful to our Charlie, she took great care of him & gave us peace of mind while attending a concert with many updates and pictures. Charlie loved her & we wouldn’t hesitate to book again with Amy while in Pittsburgh. Thanks very much Amy!!”

About: I am happy to accept big and small dogs. I have experience living with and caring for dogs of all breeds, from Chihuahuas to Irish wolf hounds. I am comfortable administering meds and have experience with dogs with allergies and strict diets. I am not a dog trainer but have worked extensively with dog trainers for my own dogs. Currently, my teenage son and I are on summer break and when not out of town ourselves, have open availability. Our dog (8 year old beagle, Stanley) does not like being home alone so we spend a lot of time at home with him. We’d be happy to have your dog hang with us at home as well! We have a fenced yard and go for daily walks. Depending on you and your dogs preference, your dog would be welcome on car rides with us as well. Our dog lounges on the couch and sleeps in our beds, which your dog is welcome to as well during his/her stay. Sunbathing in the yard or front porch is available. While gone, we can use your crate if you prefer, but if we accept a boarding reservation, we’ll mostly be at home. Though my son is very responsible, he won’t be left to care for any dogs we accept on his own. I will always be the one providing care and supervision. He may help and play with your dog but only under my direction. We are okay accepting big and small dogs. I have experience living with and caring for dogs of all breeds, from Chihuahuas to Irish wolf hounds. I am comfortable administering meds and have experience with dogs with allergies and strict diets.

About: I am excited to meet your babies! Although I'm new to the Pittsburgh area, I have been taking care of pets my entire life. I'm currently a Stay At Home Mom to 2 kids, 2 pups, and a turtle; formerly a Shift Supervisor at a Doggy Daycare in Erie, CO. Bonus if your pet is okay around kids- I will be far more flexible to work with your schedule, and they will get EXTRA attention at no additional cost 😉 I have a reliable vehicle and I am K-9 CPR certified. I have Vet assistant experience, so I can administer oral medication for both dogs and cats, topical medications, and subcutaneous injections (including insulin). Does your pet love extra attention and play time with gentle children? My weekday late morning and afternoon drop ins would be perfect- my 4 Year old son is a cat whisperer in training, and cares/loves for our dog at home and is so excited to join mommy at work 🥰 My goal is to keep your pet safe, healthy, and happy to the best of my ability with the resources I'm given. I will strive to keep them comfortable with my presence (even if that means giving them space when they need it 😉)

Timothy T.
“Tim understands dogs & they “get” him! From body language to woofs they communicate well together & he does far more than meet their basic needs. From making time individually to love them, heading down the street on leash to meet other canine neighbors or enjoying time in a dog park Tim & his dogs grow and develop wonderful relationships. He recently adopted an elderly, very skittish female who lost her owner. She had originally been in a hoarding situation and has special needs. She is now joyful and regaining a love of life thanks to Tim and his primary dog, Lincoln. The clean, safe and caring environment could not be better. I wish all humans could be as well loved and cared for as Tim’s four footed friends.”

“Danielle is a responsible, dedicated, and loving caretaker of her rescue dog Stanley and has devoted a lot of time to improving Stanley's quality of life by helping him overcome the trauma he underwent prior to his resuce. Due to her qualities and experience she makes an excellent pet caregiver.”
