About: I have experience working with many types of animals, including reptiles, cats, dogs, small mammals, amphibians, and birds. I’ve also had the opportunity to care for and live with many of these animals, which has given me a strong understanding of their needs and behaviors. I’m currently a college student and work part-time during the weekdays, so weekends would be the best time for me to provide pet sitting. I’m happy to offer reliable and attentive care for your pets during that time. I always make pet safety and comfort my top priorities. Whether caring for pets in my home or in a client’s home, I make sure they have a clean, secure, and stress-free environment. I carefully follow feeding schedules, provide fresh water, give plenty of exercise and playtime, and make sure they receive lots of attention and affection. I also follow any specific instructions for medications, routines, or special needs. In a client’s home, I respect their space and work to keep pets comfortable by maintaining their normal routine as closely as possible.

“Lauren has been a blessing! My dog is older and she takes her time with him out on his walks (he sometimes doesn't walk so well). She is considerate, professional, and I just love her!!”

About: I have always been an animal person. I love all animals but dogs are my favorite domestic animal. We have had dogs and kept dogs in our family since I was 4 years old. I've worked at a vet hospital and with doggy daycares. I am not intimidated by dogs who are a little uncertain or shy at first and I truly believe that dogs pick up on my doggy loving vibe. I have two girls 5 and 10, who both love dogs like I do, they are at school during the day (camp in the summer) but the are very knowledgable when it comes to the proper way to handle dogs/puppies and when to back off from a dog that might be scared or uncomfortable. They have been plenty of dogs-all sizes, I included a few pictures of them in my profile as well. I also have a 2 year old Shih Tzu named Fancy, she is adorable and great with other dogs, we like to go for long walks during the day. We can't wait to meet and make new furry friends. If for any reason you feel that your dog should not be around other dogs or children, please let me know and arrangements can be made depending on the service requested. Thanks for your time!
“Tiffany is on time and does a great job with Coco. She gets her exercise for sure and is tired and content when she gets back. Thank you Tiffany.”

“Did such an amazing job with my puppy! She was very helpful and gave some great tips and knowledge about dogs ◡̈ looking forward to being able to have her watch my dog again!”

About: Hi, I am Mamie (I have gone by Mamie since birth but am technically named Mary) and I am a lifelong pet person, and professional sitter. I am relatively new to Rover specifically, but am in my 40's and have cared for other people's pets for over 15 years, both here in Pittsburgh and in Seattle where I am originally from. I am fully privately insured for pet sitting and dog walking and carry broadened property damage coverage, animal bailee coverage and veterinary reimbursement coverage. I do two check ins a day with lots of pictures, and am a quick responder to messages (my average response time is 6 min). My most consistent feedback is that i am very communicative and professional, and that owners feel secure and never worry about their pets well-being when they are with me! My mother was a vet tech and I grew up rescuing many animals, and continued that tradition into adulthood, so I have ample experience in a multitude of pet types and situations I work as a housekeeper around the Pittsburgh area from about 7am-3pm mon-thursday, so will not be available in the home or for potty breaks during those hours. The absolute longest I would leave a pet during a house-sitting is 8 hours on those days, but quite often it's only 4-6 hours that i am working. All other outings/errands would be less than four hours, tops, but usually only about an hour. I am comfortable with more or less any pet, from rodents to lizards and I am not squirmish about even the creepy crawlies and slithery noodles. I can and have given almost every kind of medication there is, including subcutaneous injections, and am comfortable doing so with care and compassion and confidence. I am clean, responsible, and trustworthy. I will only take jobs with a meet and greet beforehand, and you can get a feel for my vibe and professionalism at that time, but I am sure you will like me and feel comfortable having me in your home. As a housekeeper I am used to going into strangers homes and having a high level of integrity and care for their space and belongings. I also am very clean and fastidious. I keep things looking like I wasn't there as much as possible, and will clean litter boxes daily and change water bowls daily and do deep cleans of water fountains 1x a week. I work as a housekeeper from 7am-3pm mon-thursday around the greater Pittsburgh area. If you have multiple dogs who need round the clock supervision and you book me at least three weeks before the sitting start date, than we could work that out and I could block out my housekeeping schedule for that time and just be available for the sitting job (my rates will be increased in this situation as I am priced for my current availability, not constant care and being unable to make my normal wages during the sit). In clients homes I am respectful, clean, tidy, responsible and trustworthy. I mind my business and am not judgemental. I will spend lots of time loving and socializing your pets, and I set alarms and try to keep potty breaks frequent to avoid accidents and less stress.
About: I live on an acre of land with more than half of it being yard With more than half of it being Space. I am able to create a bond with animals by giving them affection, attention, and treats. For walking appointments, my schedule is flexible between 10 AM and 7 PM But I’m also available to to offer overnight boarding care and check-in. I like to keep them active, playing, and happy so they could have the best experience I have to offer. I also like to keep the clients informed, and send them pictures. I like to make sure your pet is in my sight so I could keep them safe.
About: To put it simply, caring for animals is my life's passion; I would love to take care of your pet like they're my own. I am a highly experienced career pet care professional, currently working at Kitty Co Cat Rescue, with prior experience working at Fido and Friends. I provide the highest level of compassionate care, with a deep understanding of animal behavior and the importance of providing patience and love while caring for animals. I have hands-on experience supporting daily pet care, kennel sanitation, and medication routines. I am trained in administering oral medications, transdermal medications (for cats only), fluids, temperature checks, vaccines, oxygen support, and breathing treatments. I'm currently working part-time, so I have a lot of flexibility and availability for pet care. I am available for overnight pet sitting primarily on weekends. I am highly responsible and detail-oriented when it comes to pet and home care. My professional training in veterinary support allows me to provide the highest level of safety for your animal
“Richard walked our two dogs for the first time recently and the experience exceeded my expectations. Both are extra large dogs--80 and 130 pounds. Not easy customers (both react to deer, dogs, etc.), but he managed them very capably. He was very knowledgeable, timely, and attuned to the dogs needs, as well as agreeable to work with. Will definitely book him again.”

About: I don’t have much experience with dogs if I’m being honest. The only experience I had with a dog was with a baby pitbull and that was for about a year. That being said, despite my lack of experience I am willing to learn. My love for animals in general is why I am open to learning. I will still provide the same love, care and affection for a dog as I would a cat. My daily and weekly routine is very open for pet care. I am currently on maternity leave so I have lots of availability throughout my days. I treat them like their family and not strangers or “just for the money type of thing”. If the client has special requests as far as how they would want their pet taken care of, I would follow those requests and update the clients along the way.
About: I grew up in rural Louisiana and have been an animal whisperer and novice rescuer for as long as I can remember. I started helping neighbors with pet care and stray rehabilitation when I was a teenager. As a teen, I also worked on a farm and had exposure to many different types of animals. I have worked with other local professional pet care agencies here in Pittsburgh and I am a Certified Pet Saver (trained in pet care and basic first aid). I have experience working with challenging/reactive animals, senior pets and administering medications. My primary job for the past 10 years has been in-home social services, so I am very familiar with being in other homes and treating them with the same respect as my own. I am comfortable with all dogs and cats (and other critters), regardless of age or breed. I'm able to follow detailed instructions and I can also help with other house sitting needs: watering plants, taking the trash out, switching lights on and off, yard poop clean-up, bringing in mail and packages and other requests (within reason). I will make sure your pets and property are given the utmost respect and care while you are away and I will provide you with detailed updates per your preference. I do not have a fixed worked schedule. I do primarily care, some agency and some freelance, and no two weeks look the same. I try to keep my schedule here updated to reflect my weekly availability and if we schedule a visit, just know that is my commitment to you and your pet(s) at that time. I own my home and I have a fenced balcony that pups can relax on and enjoy the weather instead of being cooped up inside. I have an unfenced yard for potty breaks. I have two cats who are neutered, vaccinated, and very friendly. They are also okay around dogs, but I am able to keep them separated if needed. If your pet needs to be crated, you will need to provide that as I do not have a crate here. As far as visits in your home, I will follow whatever instructions you provide and treat your home and pet(s) as my own. I want them to feel as if nothing has changed in their routine while you are away.
About: I’ve had dogs and cats most my life and have cared for many friend’s and neighbor’s pets. I love dogs, cats, and even bunnies and will care for yours like they were my own. I have plenty of experience teaching my dogs tricks and good behavior along with giving them medicine and treatment when needed. I currently work part time and am a part time online grad student working on my masters degree from home on Tuesdays and Thursdays. On my days home I’d love a break to care for your pet or enjoy a nice walk together! I currently have no pets of my own and can come by to care for your pet whenever you may need. I work well with all pets big, small, young, and old as long as they are non-aggressive.
About: I have taken care of neighbors’, family’s, and friend’s dogs plenty of times before, from small to big dogs. I am very attentive to detail, so I will be able to care for your dog’s individual needs. Most recently, I have cared for a miniature schnauzer puppy, a black lab puppy, and two mid-aged mixed breed dogs. I have additional experience with doodles, king cavalier spaniels, dauschunds, pitbulls, and pugs. I am currently studying to take my physical therapy board examination so I will my schedule is flexible. I am not working at the moment, but hope to get a full-time job after taking my examination at the end of July. A part-time job may be added in the near future. I am willing to feed them, walk them, play with them, let them out to the bathroom, and clean up after them. Whatever they need, I will willingly provide for them. I can easily crate your dog if needed and spent my last semester away at college lifting a lot at the gym, so there need be no worries of the dog walking itself. I enjoy being outdoors when the weather is nice, so if that’s something your pet also enjoys, I am glad to spend time outdoors with them. If they are more the indoor, cuddly type, I am to accompany them in that as well.
“Great communication, punctual, sweet with my dog, productive walks (poop & pee everytime!) and provides good updates ! And helps with last minute bookings when she can. Big fan of Abigayle!”

“Thank you Kathleen! I had a last minute change of plans and needed someone for my dog Truffle. Within hours, Kathleen stopped over and made sure Truff was let out, walked and has food and water before she left. I felt so much better after she was there. Appreciate the help! Truffle looked happy as well. :)”

About: I’ve had dogs since I was old enough to walk. I currently care for my own Husky-shepherd mix who I’ve had for his whole 9 years of life. I’m not afraid of any size or breed of dog and I’m certainly well versed in the high energy breed. Caring for dogs is second nature to me as I’ve never known life without one. I have genuine love and compassion for animals and treat every pet as if it’s my own. I also rely on pet sitting services for my trips and can empathize with the stress of finding someone trustworthy- they aren’t just pets they are family! I’ll be sure they get the family experience. I’m currently working part time as a hairstylist, I just moved here 3 months ago and am slowly rebuilding a clientele. This allows for pockets of free time during the work week as well as some weekdays off so I can be available to check on your pets while you’re working or check in on them during a weekend trip away. I am well versed in pet safety and have plenty of experience in creating a safe and welcoming environment so you and your pet can feel at ease.
Wind Gap dog parents share their Rover experiences
Sarah is amazing!! She genuinely cares about your dog’s well being and sends updates after each walk. Which as a helicopter dog mom, I absolutely love. I had only ever trusted family to watch my dog Nash, so handing him off to someone new was a big deal for me. Sarah made it easy by meeting Nash before his first walk, and I immediately felt comfortable with him in her care. If you’re looking for someone trustworthy, caring, and communicative, I 1000% recommend Sarah!

Richard walked our two dogs for the first time recently and the experience exceeded my expectations. Both are extra large dogs--80 and 130 pounds. Not easy customers (both react to deer, dogs, etc.), but he managed them very capably. He was very knowledgeable, timely, and attuned to the dogs needs, as well as agreeable to work with. Will definitely book him again.
