About: Hi, I am Mamie (I have gone by Mamie since birth but am technically named Mary) and I am a lifelong pet person, and professional sitter! I am fully privately insured for pet sitting and dog walking and carry broadened property damage coverage, animal bailee coverage and veterinary reimbursement coverage. I do two check ins a day with LOTS of pictures, and am a quick responder to messages (my average response time is 6 min). My most consistent feedback is that i am very communicative and professional, and that owners feel secure and never worry about their pets well-being when they are with me! My mother was a vet tech and I grew up rescuing and helping with medical care, years of volunteer work with multiple animal shelters, 20+ years of pet ownership myself and a few years of professional sitting experience both here in Pittsburgh and in Seattle. I have ample experience in a multitude of pet types and situations. I work as a housekeeper around the Pittsburgh area along with Pet Sitting and drop-ins during the day. Most jobs take me away from the home 4-6 hours at a time, the absolute longest I will/ever have left pets during the day is 8 hours, but that is rare and discussed/agreed upon with pet parents before booking. Constant care (any let that cannot be left alone 2-4 hours at a time) is available at an increased rate of 2.5x my normal daily rate. I am experienced and comfortable with oral medications and subcutaneous injections and administer meds with care, compassion and confidence. Injections do incur a small extra cost to service ($5/injection) for increased risk and expertise. I am clean, responsible, professional and trustworthy. I will only take jobs with a meet and greet beforehand, for the safety, individualized care and comfort of all of us (me, you and your pet babies.) As a housekeeper I am used to going into strangers homes and having a high level of integrity and care for their space and belongings and am very clean and fastidious. I keep things looking like I wasn't there as much as possible. I will clean litter boxes daily, change water bowls daily and do deep cleans of water fountains 1x a week. I do house-sitting and drop-ins throughout the Pittsburgh area, as well as a few short housekeeping jobs throughout the week. For house-sitting I make your home my "base" and am in and out throughout the day if I have other jobs scheduled, normally gone about 4-6 hours at a time. I am very open and communicative about my schedule with pet parents and spend the majority of my days with your pet and always stay overnight. If I don't have other jobs scheduled during the day than I am spending my day with your babies, same as you would! I do offer constant care with enough notice to block out my schedule, at an increased rate of 2.5x my daily price to cover lost wages from my daytime bookings. In clients homes I am respectful, clean, tidy, responsible and trustworthy. I mind my business and am not judgemental. I ask lots of questions at the meet and greet and keep extensive notes on each pet that I keep on file and can be updated regularly/are available for all current and future bookings.

Her report after each visit was thorough and usually included an extra anecdote about their time together and great pictures! Lindsey very concerned and asked for our advice when our dog wasn't eating much food when we initially left. We appreciated her initiative. When there was a big rain storm and they couldn't walk outside, Lindsey spent the time playing with our dog inside and gave him the attention and exercise that he needed. About: Before Rover I didn’t have much experience with dogs if I’m being honest. The only experience I had prior with a dog was a baby pitbull and that was for about a year. That being said, despite the lack of experience I had, I have gained more experience from caring for dogs on Rover. My love for animals in general is why I am open to continue learning. I will still provide the same love, care and affection for a dog as I would a cat. My daily and weekly routine is very open for pet care. I am currently on maternity leave so I have lots of availability throughout my days. I treat them like their family and not strangers or “just for the money type of thing”. If the client has special requests as far as how they would want their pet taken care of, I would follow those requests and update the clients along the way.

About: I’ve been working with a variety of dogs of all different breeds for roughly 6 years via dog walking, dog sitting, etc! I love dogs of all kinds! I’m a doctoral student of occupational therapy, so most of my time is spent working via fieldwork and doing homework. I am free on Tuesdays & Thursdays for drop ins/walks, and on weekends for housesitting. I’m happy to help with any household needs specified during housesitting! About: I have taken care of neighbors’, family’s, and friend’s dogs plenty of times before, from small to big dogs. I am very attentive to detail, so I will be able to care for your dog’s individual needs. Most recently, I have cared for a miniature schnauzer puppy, a black lab puppy, and two mid-aged mixed breed dogs. I have additional experience with doodles, king cavalier spaniels, dauschunds, pitbulls, and pugs. I am currently studying to take my physical therapy board examination so I will my schedule is flexible. I am not working at the moment, but hope to get a full-time job after taking my examination at the end of July. A part-time job may be added in the near future. I am willing to feed them, walk them, play with them, let them out to the bathroom, and clean up after them. Whatever they need, I will willingly provide for them. I can easily crate your dog if needed and spent my last semester away at college lifting a lot at the gym, so there need be no worries of the dog walking itself. I enjoy being outdoors when the weather is nice, so if that’s something your pet also enjoys, I am glad to spend time outdoors with them. If they are more the indoor, cuddly type, I am to accompany them in that as well.

About: Since I was born, I have had dogs and cats around me. I have delivered cats and dogs when living on a farm, and taken care of them my whole life. I have experience working with dogs and cats of all ages, as well as reactive and rescue animals. Although I do not currently have any pets of my own, I often am the friend who pet sits because of my love for animals. I would love to eventually get my own animal, but I am not currently in the financial situation to provide the life for an animal that it deserves, so this is a fun way for me to be around animals! I work remote, so I have very open flexibility. I am the go-to friend when going out of town and needing someone to care for your baby. I am easily able to work on the go, and can even work from your own home if needed. As well, I am a graduate student, but I only have classes in the evening. Because of my flexible schedule, I am able to visit your pet in their own home, and take them out regularly for walks and bathroom breaks. In my own home, I do not currently have any pets, but I have a pet friendly home and a large fenced in back yard. I am comfortable being in a client's home and taking their dogs around their neighborhoods. Because of my housing situation, I offer boarding services. I have lots of space for big dogs, and my backyard creates a safe space for reactive dogs to get some energy out without other people or dogs around.

About: I have a bit too much time on my hands and love animals. I've cared for dogs and cats for many years as a volunteer. I'm a complete pacifist and have too much love in my heart not to share it with more animals! I work part time in retail so my schedule is very variable. What's great about that is that I have availability all day some days! However, i don't have weekends off. I will treat your place with respect and cater to your pets' needs. About: Hello! I'm a lifelong animal lover and teach for an educational non-profit organization in Pittsburgh. I grew up on a farm so I'm no stranger to dogs and cats (and horses, cows, sheep, etc.)! I have a mini-dachshund, Bijou -- truly the sweetest little pup. Whether you'd like to have your pet stay with us in my home with a fenced yard, or if you'd prefer I come to you, I look forward to caring for your dog or cat. I also have experience with puppies and understand their particular needs. Please reach out with questions! I'm open to pets with different types of needs. I have some flexibility with my schedule and I'm willing to talk through what will work best for you. My dog Bijou goes nearly everywhere with me (though she would not need to come to your house). I own my home and have a small/medium sized fenced yard. Animals are very important to me and I will always do my best to create a safe and cozy atmosphere for them by understanding their needs. About: I have taken care of dogs for several years, of all ages! From it being neighbors, family, family friends, or just around the community! I love to meet all new pets, and spoil them all! Have given dogs meds before, and willing to bathe, walk as much as needed, and crate as well! I currently am in school, taking 1 summer course but it is online. Taking a few fall classes and spring semester, but I will still be very flexible and involved with all animal sitting opportunities as they are only a few days a week!
