About: For the past 4 years, I have volunteered at an animal shelter where I worked with both dogs and cats. With dogs, I have experience with all ages, ranging from 5 week old puppies to senior dogs. I have walked and played with dogs who were the most outgoing and loving dogs, as well as the more fearful ones who needed a little extra attention before opening up to me. I have received training in understanding dog behaviors as well as how to interact with more stressed and fearful dogs, leaving me confident to care for all types of dogs. I also volunteered to take some dogs out of the shelter for one night and care for them at my apartment so they can destress out of their kennels, which gave me experience house sitting multiple types of dogs. With cats, often times at the shelter I would play with them in their cages, or I would take them out the cage and hold onto/pet them to help relieve their stress and get them accustomed to humans. At home I also have 2 senior pets I care for, a 12 year old Brittany dog and an 11 year old cat. They’re both incredibly sweet and remind me every day why I love caring for animals. Let me help take care of your furry family members—I’d love to meet them! I work as a teacher full time during the school year, so I have time after 4pm to care for your pets. However, during the summer I don't work full time so I have plenty of time to care for your pets! I am free anytime during the week for house sitting, dog walking, or just dropping in to visit your pet. When caring for a pet in a client's home, I will make sure to confirm all household rules that apply to their pet before starting. This includes knowing what furniture the pet can sit on, the diet of the pet, as well as how often the pet should be played with/taken out on walks.

About: I treat every dog as if they were my own—with patience, affection, and plenty of playtime! My experience with both young pups and older dogs means I know how to adapt to their unique personalities and physical needs. Whether your pet needs gentle care, lots of activity, or just some calm companionship, I’ve got it covered. I’m punctual, responsive, and committed to making sure your dog feels safe and loved while you’re away. I work a hybrid schedule, so I'm usually home on Mondays and Fridays, giving me flexibility to care for pets during those days. I’m also free all day Saturday and available Sunday mornings before 12pm. I live in a clean, pet-friendly house with plenty of space for dogs to relax and play. I have a three-year-old Bichon Frise who is super friendly and loves having a companion around—he’s gentle, playful, and gets along well with other dogs. Cleanliness and safety are top priorities in my home. I vacuum every day, mop twice a week, and wipe down counters and chairs weekly to maintain a fresh and hygienic environment.

“Jessica walked Janie twice a day while we were out of town and Janie was staying with my mother. Jessica took pictures and sent detailed descriptions of how the walk went. My mom tells me Janie was always thrilled to see Jessica, and she always came back tired, happy, and healthy. I couldn’t ask for more.”

“Amanda is such a great dog walker! Not only is she dependable, but she is kind and patient. My dog was skeptical and did not want to walk with Amanda at first. Instead of giving up, Amanda took the time to play and have my dog get comfortable with her. Now my dog gets super excited any time Amanda is here for their walk. She’s really great and such a sweet person!”

About: Hi, I’m Gina — your neighborhood dog-walking buddy! 🐾 I’m here to give your pup the fresh air, exercise, and attention they deserve while you’re busy or away. Let’s make walks the best part of their day (and yours)! I am currently working part-time and will have plenty of time for walks with your furry friend. Dog walking is something I truly enjoy and have intentionally made time for in my daily routine. I love being outside, staying active, and spending time with animals, so fitting in dog walks is a natural and rewarding part of my day. I plan my schedule around my walks to ensure I’m always punctual, focused, and fully present with each dog I care for. Whether it’s a morning energy boost, a midday break, or an evening wind-down, I make sure every walk fits smoothly and reliably into my routine. As a dog walker, I treat every pet like they’re my own — with patience, attentiveness, and care. I always make sure the dog is safely leashed, comfortable, and given plenty of time to sniff, explore, and exercise at their own pace. I bring water for longer walks and keep an eye on weather conditions to ensure their safety and comfort. If I’m entering a client’s home for pick-up or drop-off, I’m extremely respectful of their space. I follow any specific instructions they’ve left, such as wiping paws, locking up, or using a designated entrance. I also make sure food, water, and comfort needs are met if needed, and I always double-check that the home is secure before leaving. Most importantly, I focus on building trust — with the pets and their people — by being consistent, communicative, and kind.

About: I’ve taken care of pets of various friends and neighbors over the last few years. I have always wanted a pet of my own and treat every pet like they are. I am a hard and detail oriented worker. I will clearly communicate with you how your pet is doing as well as sending pictures and videos. I am currently a teacher on summer break so I have nothing but time to come and play with your pups! Nothing would be more fun for me than to get to take your dog for a walk and have some quality playtime with them while we enjoy the summer sun! I have experienced both dog and cat sitting while clients and friends of mine have gone on vacation. I have taken dogs for walks, cleaned out litter boxes, fed them, and enjoyed some playtime. Unfortunately, my apartment does not allow pets so I cannot have one of my own, but I would be more than happy to care for your pet in your home.

About: I grew up in a very big animal loving household. Since I was little my family and I always had a furry companion. I promise to love, cuddle and care for your loved one like they are my own. I have a full time job but luckily I have a lot of flexibility with my job. I work 10 mins from home so potty breaks and cuddles will never be an issue if needed. Whether it’s couch cuddles or long walks, count me in!

About: ***LOCATED IN BAYSIDE,QUEENS*** Hi there! I love all fur babies and welcome them with open arms. I’m a firm believer that while small moments with our pets may seem minuscule to us, they are everything to them— so let’s make it count! I grew up with a cocker spaniel and recently lost my rescue pup to cancer. Due to her long treatment regimen, I feel comfortable administering oral medications. She was a jack russell mixed with a dachshund so you know training was a handful! She suffered from some separation anxiety that we trained through so I have experience with this challenge (pandemic puppies am I right?) But we still had the best time. We explored parks, she sniffed the fun smells of NY, we snuggled on the couch and played fetch every evening. Whatever your pet is into, I’m up for! I work remotely in a dog-friendly building. My job is very flexible when it comes to hours so I can do my best to accommodate nearly every reasonable scenario depending on my meeting times for that given day. However, please no bookings after 7:30pm. In terms of supplies, I do ask pawrents to please bring any necessary food, crates, toys, meds, blankets, etc. I prefer to not cross-contaminate supplies for the health and safety of all pets. All feeding times/walking schedules will be up to the discretion of the pawrent— you know your pet best! I also have pee-pads available for those puppers who are not yet fully potty trained. Lastly, my home layout is quite pet friendly. I keep bedroom and bathroom doors closed since they are out of my line of sight when I work and the kitchen/living room is an open concept. For smaller pets, I can gate away a certain area if pawrents prefer.

About: Hello! My name is Julissa. I have so much love for all pets and animals. Growing up, i’ve always had a dog in the house, and they were always such an important member of our family. It’s been about five years since I’ve had a dog of my own. My last dog’s name was Sasha. We adopted her when she was six and had her until she was about thirteen. She was so smart, loving, and anxious when we first got her so our first few years together were spent establishing trust. Eventually we managed to off-leash train and we worked a lot on her recall so that we could enjoy longer walks and outdoor activities while ensuring that she always felt safe in her environment. At home we set her bed up in the kitchen, where we would pass our time cooking and spending a lot of quality time together. I had so many good years with my Sasha, and since she passed I have genuinely missed spending time with animals on a consistent basis. Since then, most if not all of my friends and family have entrusted me with taking care of their animals when they are busy or traveling, so I’ve had a lot of experience with many different pets and their varying needs/personalities. I work freelance as an artist. I am a musician, so I often stay at home practicing or composing. However most of my work is in the film industry, and this work ranges from smaller independent projects to network television. Although I do work on set sometimes, I try to take on as many post-production gigs as possible, so I often find myself sitting behind a desk all day. I have always made it a priority to work in a field that I am passionate about, and my decision to work with Rover has been no different. Caring for animals is not only something I am passionate about, but also a wonderful opportunity to go on walks and spend quality time with pets. I will always be very clear about any changes in my work schedule if those are to arise, but my reliability and dedication never wavers I have a fenced in yard and plenty of spaces in the house for your pet to wander and feel comfortable. I am also very trust worthy, organized, communicative, and extremely eager to work with you!

“Maria is a very responsible and caring individual who works extremely well with animals. She has pet sat my pet dog Cindy numerous times and is always so gentle with her. She is a diligent caretaker with pets and took all my concerns seriously (e.g., making sure to add boiled carrots to her dog food, placing her food on a plate or on the floor as her bowl causes her whisker fatigue, etc.). I could not recommend anyone more as a pet caregiver than Maria.”

Emma F.
“Emma's been around dogs her whole life and has always volunteered at shelters, so she's got tons of experience and a huge heart for animals. She doesn't just take care of them; she really connects with them and builds these strong bonds. She even rescued a dog from a breeding situation and gave her a loving forever home. What makes Emma so special is how empathetic she is. She can tell if a dog is anxious, excited, or just needs some cuddles, and she's so patient and understanding. Dogs just feel safe and loved around her. Emma is super responsible and reliable. You can totally trust her with your furry friend – she's the real deal. Anyone would be lucky to have her caring for their pets!”
