About: Hello! My name is Julissa. I have so much love for all pets and animals. Growing up, i’ve always had a dog in the house, and they were always such an important member of our family. It’s been about five years since I’ve had a dog of my own. My last dog’s name was Sasha. We adopted her when she was six and had her until she was about thirteen. She was so smart, loving, and anxious when we first got her so our first few years together were spent establishing trust. Eventually we managed to off-leash train and we worked a lot on her recall so that we could enjoy longer walks and outdoor activities while ensuring that she always felt safe in her environment. At home we set her bed up in the kitchen, where we would pass our time cooking and spending a lot of quality time together. I had so many good years with my Sasha, and since she passed I have genuinely missed spending time with animals on a consistent basis. Since then, most if not all of my friends and family have entrusted me with taking care of their animals when they are busy or traveling, so I’ve had a lot of experience with many different pets and their varying needs/personalities. I work freelance as an artist. I am a musician, so I often stay at home practicing or composing. However most of my work is in the film industry, and this work ranges from smaller independent projects to network television. Although I do work on set sometimes, I try to take on as many post-production gigs as possible, so I often find myself sitting behind a desk all day. About: For the past 4 years, I have volunteered at an animal shelter where I worked with both dogs and cats. With dogs, I have experience with all ages, ranging from 5 week old puppies to senior dogs. I have walked and played with dogs who were the most outgoing and loving dogs, as well as the more fearful ones who needed a little extra attention before opening up to me. About: Most notably, I have worked for Dan's Pet Care as a dog walker in Manhasset for 6 months. I would walk dogs, sometimes feed them, give them water, give them medication, pick up and drop them off to and from the petcare center if asked to. To put it shortly, I have lots of experience with new dogs. I also used to work at The Allypond Environmental Center, along with owning pets throughout my life and still do to this day such as dogs, cats, birds, fish, and guinea pigs. Don't worry with its poop, I will pick it up. I provide cutting nails and ear cleaning for daycare customer (tell me if you need this service)
About: Hi I currently work from home and have a lot of free time on my hands. I have watched over 100 pets with 5 years on Rover. I'm very flexible to accommodate you and your pet in any way. Feel free to reach out if there are any last-minute emergencies. I can come over to pick up and drop off as well. I prefer long stays and will be willing to give a discount for boarding longer than 5 days. I usually take them out for walks 3 - 4 times a day and take them to the dog park if I have time. I usually send pictures and updates to check in with you with their progress. I live on a very quiet street with a lot of grass everywhere. It is a safe clean environment. I do have stairs since I live on the second floor.

“Lal, Matt & Hank were great! My doggy boys stayed with them for a week while we were travelling out of state and they looked like they were having a nice little doggy vacation themselves with their new found friends. Lal would keep us updated with how our boys were doing by also posting pictures and videos along with the texts and e-mails. Lal really took the time to get to know the boys well specially during their meet and greet. Plus the fact that their LabraDoodle, Hank got along very well with the boys made me really feel at ease. I would definitely pick them again for our upcoming travels. So happy to know that my doggy boys were in good hands while we were away. Highly recommended.”
