About: I’ve taken care of and trained my own dog and cat for the past 6 years and before that, dog-sat for family, friends, and neighbors for several years, including walking, feeding, bathing, playing, and keeping pets company while their owners are away. I’m patient, gentle, and attentive to each pet’s personality and routine. I’m super comfortable with energetic pets who need exercise, as well as shy or older pets who need extra care, calm attention, and consistency. I will always make sure pets feel safe, loved, and well cared for. I've also taken care of birds, mice, and bunnies, so I would love to help out with any of those, too! I'm currently a University of Pennsylvania student home for the summer! I'm working an internship but am completely free in the evenings and on the weekends! I make safety and comfort my top priorities. I take time to learn each pet’s routine, personality, triggers, and favorite things so they feel secure and cared for. In a client’s home, I respect their space, follow instructions closely, keep doors and gates secure, and send regular updates. I’m attentive on walks, careful around other animals, and always make sure pets get the right mix of exercise, affection, and calm downtime. At my own home, I have a large completely fenced yard with cameras for additional safety. I also live across the street from a park so for the energetic ones, I have lots of opportunities to take them out!
About: Hi! I’m Huixian, a reliable and patient dog lover based in Bayside. I regularly spend time around dogs of all sizes and personalities and truly enjoy caring for them. I understand every dog is different—some are energetic, some are shy—and I always adjust my approach to make them feel safe and comfortable. Safety is my top priority. I stay alert during walks, use secure leashes, and carefully follow all your instructions. 📸 I also send photo updates every walk so you can feel at ease while you're away. I work full-time, but I’m available evenings and weekends and always make sure your dog gets the attention they deserve. ❤️ Monday - Friday: 7pm - 10pm Saturday: 4pm - 10pm Sunday: 12pm - 10pm I work full time but during my free time, I really enjoy taking long walks with my husband ❤ Your dog will spend a wonderful time with us! I focus on dog walking and always prioritize safety and comfort. I use secure leashes, stay alert to surroundings, and adjust each walk to your dog’s needs and energy level. I follow all owner instructions carefully and provide updates so you can feel confident your dog is in good hands.
“Mia is an amazing sitter! She’s responsive and attentive to detail. She made me feel so secure she was caring for my pets gave regular updates and a lot of pictures. My girls were very happy in her care and I would highly recommend her.”

“I’m very grateful for her help during this time. My cat needed medication twice a day, and she was very responsible and attentive. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone who needs pet care.”
“Sally was perfect with my cat. She was prompt, kind, and diligent and did an excellent job in taking care of my little beast. I would recommend her to anyone who wants their pet taken well care of.”

“Michelle was a wonderful guardian for Asher while we were away on vacation. Her videos and photos gave us a lot of reassurance for our first time leaving him home over an extended period. We are so appreciative of all the work she puts in!”

About: Hello! My name is Julissa. I have so much love for all pets and animals. Growing up, i’ve always had a dog in the house, and they were always such an important member of our family. It’s been about five years since I’ve had a dog of my own. My last dog’s name was Sasha. We adopted her when she was six and had her until she was about thirteen. She was so smart, loving, and anxious when we first got her so our first few years together were spent establishing trust. Eventually we managed to off-leash train and we worked a lot on her recall so that we could enjoy longer walks and outdoor activities while ensuring that she always felt safe in her environment. At home we set her bed up in the kitchen, where we would pass our time cooking and spending a lot of quality time together. I had so many good years with my Sasha, and since she passed I have genuinely missed spending time with animals on a consistent basis. Since then, most if not all of my friends and family have entrusted me with taking care of their animals when they are busy or traveling, so I’ve had a lot of experience with many different pets and their varying needs/personalities. I work freelance as an artist. I am a musician, so I often stay at home practicing or composing. However most of my work is in the film industry, and this work ranges from smaller independent projects to network television. Although I do work on set sometimes, I try to take on as many post-production gigs as possible, so I often find myself sitting behind a desk all day. I have always made it a priority to work in a field that I am passionate about, and my decision to work with Rover has been no different. Caring for animals is not only something I am passionate about, but also a wonderful opportunity to go on walks and spend quality time with pets. I will always be very clear about any changes in my work schedule if those are to arise, but my reliability and dedication never wavers I have a fenced in yard and plenty of spaces in the house for your pet to wander and feel comfortable. I am also very trust worthy, organized, communicative, and extremely eager to work with you!
“Thank you, Brianna, for taking care of my elderly cats for two weeks! Usually, when I leave them, they get upset and could pee all over and make a mess. At this time, I came back to the clean apartment, and my cats were healthy and cheerful 😻.”

“Thaisha was a great sitter for our pets over the holidays. She was communicative, easy to get in touch with, and did great with our big dog who is very fearful of new people. We would definitely book her again! Thanks Thaisha!”

“Antoinette was wonderful. She stayed in communication with me while I was away and went above and beyond to make sure my cats were fed, happy and comfortable. I would absolutely use her again !”

“Shibo was absolutely amazing! I have two male cats, and one of them I had just adopted 10 days before leaving for my trip. He was very skittish when I first got him, but he warmed up to Shibo right away. My other cat took a liking to him immediately as well—who wouldn’t! Shibo was so wonderful, giving my cats the attention they needed while I was away. In the past, I relied on neighbors and people just stopping by to feed and check on them, but my experience with Shibo has completely changed my perspective. It is worth every penny to have someone as great as him looking after your fur babies! When I returned, I could see the difference in my fluffy companions in the best way as this is very early in their introduction phase. I had peace of mind knowing they were well cared for. Shibo provided fantastic updates and beautiful photos, making it clear that my cats had a wonderful time with their new friend. I have full trust in Shibo as I also came home to find everything exactly as I expected. I highly recommend Shibo for anyone looking for a trustworthy and caring pet sitter! Especially cats.”

“Jason did a wonderful job once again taking care of Cali and Willie! This is the 3rd or 4th time I’ve used him, and he continues to go above and beyond every single time. He kept me updated daily, sharing details about how they were doing, which gave me so much peace of mind. Jason is incredibly caring, trustworthy, and genuinely the best sitter I’ve ever worked with. I can’t recommend him enough and will absolutely continue to book with him in the future!”

“Jessica is wonderful. She came prepared to our meet and greet with questions and notes and she always responds quickly when you send her a message. She followed all feeding and medication instructions. My kitty was in great hands and was so calm when I came home. Will definitely use her services again in the future.”
About: Hi, I'm Maria! I adore dogs and cats! I've been walking and sitting dogs for over 13 years and a professional pet photographer for 8 years. I grew up with lots of cats and dogs, and I volunteered at an animal hospital while in college. Today, I have a friendly female creme Shiba Inu, Lula. I offer 1/2-hour or full-hour dog walks and pets sitting in the Whitestone and Beechhurst areas of Queens. I will take your puppy to the park for a stroll, a dog park or just around your area - whatever you prefer. Dogs in my trust for walks are NEVER left alone or unsupervised. I always "clean up" after dogs in my care and keep them on the leash unless, with your permission, we go to a secure fenced dog park. Whatever your instructions I will make sure they are followed exactly as you request. I'm a punctual, responsible, and respectful person who loves dogs. I will take good care of your puppy as if they were my own. I will make sure they feel comfortable and receive plenty of attention and affection during their stay with me! As a lifelong owner of dogs and cats, providing a consistent schedule of daily care, feeding, walks, and affection comes naturally to me and my schedule. I provide care, feeding, clean up and affection as instructed. I'm also happy to follow any other instructions that may be specific to each pet.
About: Feathers, Fur, and Everything In Between Hey there! I’m Joanne, and I’ve spent my entire life surrounded by animals. My Experience: * Bird Mom: I’ve owned exotic birds for 15 years. * Vet Assistant Perks: I spent time working in a vet clinic, so I have experience working with cats and dogs. I know what to look for to make sure everyone is healthy and safe. * Shelter Volunteer : I’ve spent plenty of time volunteering at shelters, which means I’m great with small animals and exotics. My Philosophy: Whether I’m hanging out with your cat, walking your dog, or making sure your bird is chirping, I treat your pets like they’re my own family. You’ll get plenty of photos and updates so you know they’re having a good time while you’re away. Bottom line: Your pet’s comfort is my #1 priority. Let’s chat and see if I’m the right fit for your family ! By day, I’m working at the hospital, but in my off-hours, I’m all about the animals. Since my work life is all about care and attention to detail, I bring that same energy to looking after your pets during my free time. I’ve spent 15 years keeping exotic birds, and I currently have two budgies of my own. They get flight time, fresh water, and a spread of fresh veggies every single day—and I bring that same "spoiled and healthy" standard to every pet I watch. Whether you have a dog, a cat, or a feathered friend, I’ll make sure your pet gets the same experience. I make it my mission to ensure every pet in my care gets the exercise they need and their meals exactly how they like them.
“Kaitlyn has been my go to every time I need someone to watch my pup. She is amazing and puts my mind at ease! I love getting detailed descriptions and pictures and seeing how well my baby is doing before I get home to him. She is great and I reccomend her 100%!”

“Iris was stellar. I was a bit nervous since I never used Rover but heard good things. Iris is top tier for a reason and was able to send me updates on my dog and she even accommodated my request to due to travel delays getting home. I would 100% use Iris again. Thank you immensely.”
About: I'm an incredibly active individual. I love to lift weights, practice martial arts, hike, and go on runs. This allows me to be an excellent fit for a dog whose energy levels are high. If you'd prefer for me to not just take your dog to the bathroom, but provide them a good amount of exercise as well, I'm a great fit! When I'm not taking care of dogs I work as a writer, director, and editor on films, social media videos, and commercials. If you've ever wanted any photos or videos of you and your four legged friend (or just them) I can provide high quality images/videos for you as well whether you want to just show off to your friends and family or just to have status updates on how your dog is doing. Because I work freelance my schedule tends to be flexible and allows me to set my own hours usually. I will work with you as best as I can to fit your needs within my schedule. I treat dogs very similarly to how I treat people. I show them a great deal of respect, empathy, and love. I do tend to spoil my own dog here and there, but I also try to love him as unconditionally as he does to me. A golden rule I try to follow is treat others the way you want to be treated. Another golden rule I try to follow is to see myself in others. I also apply these two golden rules to my encounters with pets and nature in general.

I found Michelle on short notice when the weather was predicting thunder all day, and Ishby can be alone for a few hours but is scared of thunder. Michelle was easy to communicate with, understanding and trying to make things work for me as best she could even as the weather forecast was changing. When she came for the meet n greet, it was clear she has a way with dogs and Ishby got used to her quickly. She was in touch throughout the visit, took lots of pictures, fed Ishby as I asked her to, and I felt like my baby was in good hands. Grateful for Michelle's help!

I highly recommend Hannah’s services. She took excellent care of both of my cats, making sure they were fed and well looked after during my absence. Communication was outstanding throughout the entire process. She was reliable, professional, responsive, and provided peace of mind knowing my pets were in good hands. It is clear that she genuinely cares about animals and takes her responsibilities seriously. I would not hesitate to hire her again and would confidently recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy and dependable pet sitter.

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.

Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement sitter.
