About: I’ve had dogs for over 25 years - from puppyhood through their senior days. My last dog passed away late last year, and now we’re looking forward to taking care of other people’s dogs! My wife and are retired and on the days we accept reservations will have plenty of time to take your dog on long walks and play! We have a single-floor apartment in the South Loop, We can accommodate a crate if your dog uses one. We will always follow your guidance on how much or little your dog prefers to interact with other dogs and people.

Fred was very communicative and took wonderful care of my dog. When I picked her up, it was clear that she had been comfortable, happy, and well cared for during her stay. This was our first time having Dora and Ben board our dog, and they were the best sitters we’ve found on Rover yet! They paid close attention to detail, carefully reviewed her care instructions, and closed the loop to make sure we were all on the same page. We also loved getting 4–8 photos a day, which gave us a great sense of how she was doing and what her stay looked like. When our dog got into some of their food while they were out at dinner, they let us know right away and handled it calmly and kindly, even though she made a mess. They reassured us they’d keep a close eye on her and contact us immediately if they had any concerns or thought she needed veterinary care. We felt completely at ease knowing she was so well cared for. She was definitely spoiled, and we’d love to book with them again if they’ll have us!

She’s been incredibly accommodating with my last-minute requests, which I really appreciate, and she’s always great about communicating and keeping me updated. Larry can be a little dog-selective, but he gets along so well with Vivian’s dog, who is incredibly friendly, calm, and sweet. Every time Larry comes home, he’s relaxed and happy, which gives me so much peace of mind. Vivian also always sends the cutest pictures and updates throughout his stay. I definitely trust Vivian with Larry and would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a caring, reliable, and communicative sitter!
Dulce was incredible. She and her little Ivy took amazing care of our energetic puppy. She made him feel at home and went out of her way to comfort him and get him to eat as he’s extremely picky. We received lots of photo and video updates which put us at ease. Would strongly recommend. 10/10

My Archie had the best time with Emisa! I needed help last minute when another sitter canceled, and Emisa was responsive and SO flexible, making it easy for me to pick up and drop off at the times that worked for me. She shared some of her dog’s food when I accidentally didn’t send enough. She took him on long walks and sent updates every day. Her dog Zeus is sweet and gentle as well. Between Emisa and her husband, Archie got lots of attentive care for his stay. He didn’t even seem that excited to see me when I got back! I would highly recommend booking with Emisa!
Ashley made herself available to watch Mars on such short notice, and she asked a lot of thoughtful questions to make sure he was comfortable and cared for. she sent regular updates and it warmed my heart to see him having such a great time while we were away’ we would hire Ashley again in a heartbeat.
Sarah was an amazing dog sitter! She took care of Moose for an extended period while I was traveling, and I couldn’t have been happier with the experience. She took wonderful care of her and sent me lots of photos and updates, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was away. I came home to a very happy and well-cared-for Moose. Julie was very communicative and helpful leading up to Pluto’s stay, which I really appreciated! I would have loved a few more proactive updates throughout the stay, but she responded quickly and shared photos and videos whenever I requested. Overall Pluto seemed comfortable, happy, and well taken care of. I’d definitely feel comfortable leaving him with Julie again!
