“Heidi was great!! My dog is an apartment dog now, but he once was a backyard dog. He’s not super used to the whole going on a walk in the city thing, and she did fantastic! He has severe reactivity issues and that wasn’t an issue for her. He went 2 and a half miles (way longer than i’d ever have the time to do) and it’s worth every penny. I will def use her again for future walks!!”

“Life saver! Took such great care of my chihuahuas. They adore her. Professional and responsible. 10 out of 10 and will absolutely book again.”

“Rodrigo was extremely communicative and sent lots of pictures. You could tell he cares about pets and giving them his attention. Would highly recommend him!”

“Sarah was great with Hank! She was super calm and helpful even though Hank was anxious at first. Now they’re good buds! Sarah was super responsive and sent lots of good pictures.”

About: I helped raise my dog and my girlfriend’s dogs from puppyhood, and I also care for my 14-year-old dog back home. I’m experienced with both energetic pups and senior pets who need extra love and patience. Currently I am working part-time and that is in the mornings. So have a lot of time on my hands at the moment. Whatever works best for you! I live in an apartment, so lots of walks around the surrounding neighborhood or the little dog park next to me. I live just south of downtown Raleigh.

“Consistent and a full walk! Thank you for being awesome!”

About: I've been around dogs all of my life, including my own and helping out neighbors. I've helped watch dogs from as small as a chihuahua up to a big lab. I am currently studying for my CPA and have a very flexible schedule. I can work around most odd times that would be inconvenient for most people. I can follow whatever routine is normal for your dog whether that means just letting them out in the yard, walking them, letting the dog roam free in the house, or crating them.

“Excellent job! booked for an entire month out and never had any issues, provided plenty of updates and photo each walk! I always felt my dog was safe and well cared for while I was at work”

About: Let’s start with safety comes 1st!! That’s something that I value highly of, especially when it comes to your pup. I’m someone who’s really understanding & patient when it comes to animals of all kinds, it’s also important to be very loving too!! That’s key, especially when building a brand new bond with a person & even their pet. Well my family has a 1 & 1/2 year old pup!!! So we have a full understanding of what it takes to make time for your animal & fit them into your daily schedule. The way I care for pets whether it’s in my home or a client’s home is by giving plenty of affection & attention to the pet that I am with! When you provide that kind of love & gentleness it can help an animal feel at home no matter where they may be🤍

About: I’ve worked with dogs for over a decade. I am a certified professional dog trainer who also has experience working in the veterinary field. I love all things dogs and have worked with thousands of dogs of all breeds, sizes, and ages! I currently run a small scale dog training business, so my life revolves around dogs. In my down time on weekdays, I’m available for drop in visits and dog walking. I have many years of dog handling experience so I will handle your dog with care and safety. I am available for drop in visits, neighborhood walks, feeding, and medication administration.

“Always the best. My dogs love Nate, and he’s the most kind and helpful caregiver for them. Have used him for years, and I can’t say enough good things.”

About: I’ve been around animals my whole life and started caring for them when I was just 4 years old, after adopting my dog Deco. Over the years, my family has had dogs, cats, mice, fish, chickens, and bunnies, and I’ve helped care for all of them. I cared for Deco, my lifelong best friend, for 15 wonderful years until his recent passing, and I truly miss the companionship and joy that comes from caring for animals. That’s why I’m signing up for Rover. I want to spend my free time doing what I love most: taking care of animals. I’m currently studying Zoology in college and have volunteered at my local SPCA for the past 7 years. I’ve worked with animals of all ages and needs, including senior pets and those requiring extra patience and care. I also interned at an aquarium, where I helped care for jellyfish, sharks, and otters. That experience gave me a deeper understanding of animal health, enrichment, and daily care routines. What makes me different from other sitters is my strong background in animal science, hands-on experience, and lifelong dedication to animal welfare. I take a gentle and attentive approach with every animal I meet and always focus on making them feel safe, happy, and loved. Animals are not just my passion. They are my life and my future career. I would be honored to care for your pets like they are part of my own family. As a college student with a fairly light course load this semester, I have a lot of flexibility in my schedule. Most of my classes are in the mornings or grouped on just a few days a week, which leaves me plenty of time during the day to check on pets, go for walks, or stay for extended visits. I also have most weekends free, which makes me available for weekend care, overnights, or last-minute bookings. I’m very organized and always make pet care a top priority in my routine. Spending time with animals is something I genuinely enjoy, so it fits naturally into my daily life. I tailor my care to fit each pet’s unique needs and routine whether I’m caring for them in my home or yours. When I stay at the client’s home, I follow all instructions carefully from feeding schedules to exercise and medication. I make sure to keep your pets comfortable and stress free in their own environment. I also provide plenty of attention, playtime, and gentle companionship to help them feel safe and happy. If caring for pets in my home, I create a calm, clean, and secure space with plenty of toys, cozy spots to rest, and regular exercise tailored to each pet’s energy level. I keep a consistent routine to help pets feel comfortable and relaxed. Either way, I prioritize safety, hygiene, and lots of love to ensure your pets get the best care possible.
