I’m experienced with all stages of life, I recently lost my amazing 13yo lab/Irish wolfhound mix after raising him from a puppy. About: I’m a fully remote Triangle native whose first love (after writing, that is ✍🏽) was for animals. I don’t just look after them—I truly care for them like a family member. As such, I can usually tell (and adapt accordingly) when a furry friend needs more space and gentleness to feel more comfortable versus when they’d benefit from more a more assertive approach. I’m comfortable giving medication and light grooming/brushing, but my favorite is getting them outside for some fresh air and exercise. I love caring for cats and plant-babies too! I’m a freelancer and enjoy taking breaks throughout the day to step away from my computer and get my blood pumping. Making my own schedule means I can be flexible to accommodate your needs. I’m a gentle but firm soul and find a way to connect with a wide variety of temperaments. I’m happy to go slow and meet animals where they are since I know proper care and attention is not one size fits all.

We’ve been working with a behavioralist but had an international trip planned. We chose not to leave our pup with family in order to keep her separated from other dogs as we address her behavior. We found Gina on Rover and we’re so glad we did. Gina kept us up to date while we were away and demonstrated a commitment to Olive’s wellbeing and helping us to work with her on her behaviors on walks, etc. Olive had such a good time during her 9-day stay with Gina and we felt so comfortable leaving her there. “Kelly was fabulous with my two doodles. I had never left them with somebody before and because my oldest dog has sight issues I was very nervous, but Kelly put me at ease immediately. Every day she would send me photos or videos with a little snippet about how things were going. I looked forward to seeing the photos and I could tell that they were having fun running around her yard. It is obvious that Kelly loves dogs and I will definitely use her again.”
