“Amy has been our dog walker for well over a year now! Amy continuously walked both of our goldens twice a week, sometimes more! I am always pleased with Amy’s services and care she has for my dogs. She is always on time, answers my texts immediately, and is very flexible (especially when I add in last minute walks). After my first golden passed away, Amy made sure our other golden pup was taken care of. We kept his same routine and she gave him all the attention and love he needed during such a tough time for us all. Shortly after, family had gained two more golden girl pups! A huge handful if you ask me but Amy didn’t skip a beat. Now she has had all of our goldens at every stage and they love when they see her!!! I continue to use Amy’s services because she is the best around!”

“I highly recommend Guillermo! He is always punctual, extremely reliable, and genuinely caring towards our lovely Mylo. His passion for animals is evident, and it gives us great peace of mind knowing our dog is in such good hands. Each walk is followed by a thoughtful update with pictures, which we greatly appreciate !!!”

About: Animals have always been a big part of my life, and I’ve cared for dogs and cats for family, friends, and neighbors over the years. I understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I strive to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved while their owners are away. Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, or providing plenty of attention and cuddles, I treat every pet as if they were my own. I am dependable, patient, and committed to keeping pet parents updated so they can have peace of mind while they’re away. I have a flexible schedule and can accommodate morning, afternoon, and evening visits. Whether it’s walks, feeding, playtime, or simply providing companionship, I am committed to making sure your pet feels comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I also provide regular updates and photos so you can have peace of mind. I understand that every pet is unique, and I take the time to learn their routines, preferences, and any special needs they may have. Whether caring for pets in my home or yours, I provide a safe, clean, and loving environment where they can feel comfortable and relaxed. I treat every pet like family and make it a priority to keep owners updated with messages and photos, so they can feel confident knowing their furry baby is receiving the attention and care they deserve.
“Emily is a fantastic, wonderfully caring dog walker / pet care taker. We use her services for daily weekday walks for both of our dogs which have very different needs ( a 14 yr old golden doodle with mobility issues and a 10 yr old lab that still thinks she's 3 yr old spring chicken). She has also house sat over a navigation for us so that they didn't have to go into a kennel. She is trustworthy, communicative and extremely kind. You'd be fortunate to have her services.”

About: Since I was a kid I was surrounded by animals! At 7 years old I was given then responsibility to take care of my own life long best friend I named Sandy, who grew up with me for 15 years until 2021. Throughout the time and especially after I have always jumped at the opportunity to take care of my friends and family’s pets! Some of my favorites are my older sister’s three energetic pups: Benjamin, Buttons and Bleu who love to run in the yard and play ALL day! I also love taking care of my other sister’s two cats: Lulu and Phoebe who enjoy a quiet night in full of cuddles and head scratches! I also spend a lot of time dog sitting my best friend’s 1 year old Boxer who is full of energy and loves treats! In the summer of 2023 we went on daily walks around the neighborhood and on special occasions we would go on Starbucks Pup-cup runs which she loved! Overall, I’ve been around dogs and cats of all ages and have had a lot of fun throughout it! Pet care fits into my schedule since I work remotely the majority of the week! I am also a senior at the University of Massachusetts Amherst which allows me to have a lot of flexibility with my class schedule! I have my own apartment which is quiet and pet friendly! I especially have tons of time on the weekend to take care of pets for a longer duration of time! I live at an apartment which is 100% pet friendly. It is surrounded by many side streets which are great for going on long walks and exploring the area. My apartment is quiet and has space for a crate if needed. I own pet bowls, dog and cat toys, and can be easily puppy or kitty proofed if need be!!
About: Hi! I’m Mary Evelyn! I am a full-time preschool teacher with summers off. I love to care for other people‘s pets and put families at ease while they enjoy their summer. I grew up in a house full of pets. We had two dogs, a cat, two ferrets, two parakeets, and a rabbit. Unfortunately, my husband is allergic and we can’t have a pet full-time in our house. To fill that void, I spend my summers loving on your fur babies! My children, 10 and 12, are also animal lovers and often are with me caring for the animals. I am a loving and gentle nurturer. I treat your pets just like my own. This is not just a job for me. This is a choice to keep animals in my life because I know the joy they bring. I love to provide owners with pictures and updates, as many as you want and need. I’m also happy to take care of anything at the house that needs tending – mail, plants, cleaning, etc. I look forward to connecting with you! I have full availability over the summer and I am willing to accommodate any kind of schedule. During the fall and winter, my availability is limited to evenings and weekends. My preference is to care for your pet in your home. My kids (12 and 10) sometimes accompany me, as they also love to care for animals and are learning how to be productive and responsible. If you prefer I solely care for your animals, that is completely fine. I always defer to the client and their pet's needs. If I'm providing boarding in my home, the animal will be restricted to our first floor. I do not have a fenced in yard, so I would provide frequent walks throughout the day.
About: My name is Thalia and I’m ready to make your pup feel like they’re one of my own. I provide a safe and welcoming environment to make your pet feel right at home. I work from home, so I can be there for your pet daily or weekly. I can provide your pet with frequent potty breaks and walks as well as allow time for play. I always make sure my pets are safe inside my home. Providing them with fresh clean water and a safe place to have their meals. Pets are allowed on the furniture in my home and I have various dog beds throughout my home.
About: My name is Alyssa and it would be my pleasure to take care of your animal! I’m an experienced pet sitter. I have dogs and a cat of my own so believe that your animal is in the best care. Whatever needs your animals has I can take care of. I am serious when it comes to doing anything with making sure animals are safe and happy. I can give medication, meet your pets needs, and go the extra mile for the best care for your animal. I am currently a student and looking for a part time job, so as of now I am available through out the weekday to help check in on your pet while you’re at work, on vacation, or simply out for the day! I can do special request if needed on weekends. I do not offer boarding at my personal home, but am happy to drive to your home instead! I like to follow the instructions given to me to ensure your fur baby is the most comfortable.
“Holly is always amazing when it comes to communication and sending picture updates. I love how much she cares about my puppy and it makes me feel good that he is with someone who cares. Holly is my go to for dog walking!”

About: I’m a dog lover through and through. I have my own high-energy rescue, Magnum, who keeps me on my toes and has taught me everything about patience, persistence, and unconditional love. I have hands-on experience with a wide range of breeds. Bull Mastiffs, Goldens, Goldendoodles, Huskies, Chihuahuas, Dachshunds, and everything in between. I’m fully comfortable with leash-reactive dogs and strong pullers. My own pup is a serious tugger, so I know exactly how to manage and work with dogs who need a little extra handling. I love going beyond the standard neighborhood loop. If your dog has energy to burn, let’s take them on a hike, find a swimming spot, or go for a solid run. I tailor every outing to your dog’s personality and needs — whether that’s a leisurely sniff-fest or a full-on adventure. Every walk comes with photo updates so you can see your pup living their best life. Your dog is safe, loved, and well-exercised in my hands Available all week, mornings and evenings preferred — I schedule walks early or later in the day to avoid hot pavement and keep your pup safe and comfortable in warm weather. •I always check pavement temp before walks — if it’s too hot for my hand, it’s too hot for paws •Morning and evening scheduling keeps dogs cool and safe •Comfortable handling reactive dogs and strong pullers •Leashed at all times in traffic and public areas •Photo updates every walk so you’re never left wondering

I have a large home with a fenced yard, next to the Freeman walking trail, providing pets plenty of fresh air, exercise, and outdoor time.
About: As the owner of two rescue pups I know it’s hard to put the care of your dogs up to someone else, but as a dog lover first you can trust me to give your dog the care and attention they need. I have in the past watched multiple dogs for weeks at a time as there owners were away. I have also been l’art of a puppy training class for both dogs where I have learned de-escalation techniques and ways to help the dogs in public. I am a full time college student from most of the year so I am looking for work just in the summer the months. Primarily the opportunity to work during the weekdays. At home my dogs are bothe crate trained while we are out of the house. When it is time to go out side with them both are trained to go on walks and run around in our large backyard freely. We also use commands to guide our dogs.
About: I am a lifelong dog lover and proud owner of my almost 8 year old pup, who keeps me active with daily hikes and outdoor adventures. We spend as much time as possible exploring trails and enjoying the water, so I understand how important exercise, stimulation, and fun are for a happy, healthy dog. Outside of my career in pediatric medicine, my greatest passions are dogs and family. I bring a calm, responsible, and attentive approach to every dog I care for. Whether your dog loves long hikes, a swim, laying in the yard or just a relaxed neighborhood walk, I am happy to tailor their care to what makes them happiest. You can trust that I will treat your dog like my own, with patience, love, and close attention to their safety and well being. I have an almost 8 year old rescue, who my life revolves around! She loves other dogs and my husband and I have a dog walker take care of her twice daily while we are at work. I am a dedicated dog lover and want to provide my passions to your dog, if you’re away. I am comfortable with short and long distance walks, on or off leash. We know local hikes, beaches and swim spots for pups and live going to these at least 4-5 times per week. I have a large, dog friendly, fenced in yard for your pup to enjoy and our home is theirs so couches, beds, all rooms are for the dogs!

Will was very accommodating for my quick request, after recently moving to the area, and stopped by for a meet & greet before the first walk! He was very thoughtful to include a lot of detail in the walk’s report card, and we so appreciate the level of attention to our pup and her needs!

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your dog, and a walker. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your walker or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your walker questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and walkers on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Sitters on Rover set their own cancellation policy, which you can find on their profile under their calendar availability.
Cancelling before a booking begins and before the sitter's cutoff time qualifies you for a full refund. Same-day cancellations for walks, day care, and drop-ins follow the full refund policy. Otherwise, for dog boarding and house sitting, you will receive a 50% refund for the first seven days of the booking and a 100% refund for the remaining days when you cancel the same day a booking should begin.
If your sitter needs to cancel within seven days of the booking's start date, then our reservation protection will kick in. This means our support team works with you to find a replacement walker.
