“Avery accepted our dog Zeppelin for a last minute trip. She was very attentive, communicative and sent us pics of our beloved family dog. My young kids loved the pictures she sent. If I ever need a sitter again or if anyone asks, I will absolutely recommend Avery for the future!!!”

“Joseph and his family were great sitters. They took care of our boy like he was their own. Their home and outdoor space is safe and spacious for dogs to get plenty of exercise. They were also very accommodating when we had a change in travel plans. I wouldn’t hesitate to book him again as a sitter.”

About: Previously had a full time pet care business but we moved! Starting up again because my dog misses her friends. We go outside often and my dog will have your dog playing as much as they’ll allow. Your dog will have plenty of mental stimulation, play time, outside time, cuddles, and chill time. I do allow pets on the furniture but I can avoid it if that is your training. I have worked with many trainers and found my style to be more of keeping the dogs calm and regulated while still allowing for playtime and plenty of mental stimulation. We do about a 1-2 hour walk almost every day if you’d like your dog to come along! I have an extremely flexible schedule. I do not typically leave home for more than 4 hours at a time. I do a park walk or hike for 1-2 hours a day. If it’s too hot or cold we can play in the “dog room” and take quick walks outside or play in the kiddie pool in the yard! We are at the end of a dead end street. I board dogs at my home. I am very safety oriented with my dog and clients’ dogs. We do not go to dog parks. Dogs stay on lead unless they are in a fenced in space. We avoid all other dog interactions in public. I listen to your specific directions for feeding, medications, quirks, reactivity, triggers, etc. I have gates and an extra room if needed. Bring a familiar object for your dog like a blanket and toy for their crate. I only crate at night, for dinner time (to avoid resource guarding), or for safety/health reasons.

“Belinda was wonderful with our furbaby and sent us an update each day. She was very accessible by text and easy to communicate with. Our dog got along well with her dog, Sloane, who is a sweetie. Also, she has the perfect fenced in yard for the dogs to play! We will certainly work with Belinda again!”

“Asia was WONDERFUL!! This was our first time leaving our pup Chickoo for such an extended period of time and she went above and beyond to ease my mind. She was extremely communicative, provide multiple updates with pictures daily, and answered any questions we had. Asia took care of Chickoo like he was her own and we are so thankful we found her! 10000% recommend her to anyone looking to have peace of mind while traveling.”

“We were very happy and comfortable leaving our fur baby with Jo. She has a nice backyard for him to roam and she sent daily pics/videos/messages. Her communication was excellent. We would definitely use her again!”

“It was our first time leaving our 1yo puppy with a new family. He spent 4 nights with her and had a great time. Nicole was very kind, very understanding of his special needs and treated him to a great adventure on a beach. Could not have asked for a better family to leave our doggie. Thank you Nicole!”

“Salish was a fantastic sitter for our pup. When we ran into a travel delay, she kindly accommodated our request to extend his stay for another night. We felt so comfortable knowing he was in great hands. Thank you, Salish!”

“Lulu had the absolute best time with Liz and her dog Charlie! She took such good care of her and sent me so many updates and photos which is so important to me. She also has an enormous yard that lulu loved playing in!”

“So happy we booked with Min this week! I loved knowing Finn would stay active playing with some of the other boarders! She also walked him multiple times and sent picture updates, which kept me feeling at ease (: He was exhausted when he got home and slept all night. Thank you Min!”

“Yang kept updating me with pictures and videos. My dog loved her family and was well taken care of. He got to go for a long walk around the lake. We will ask her again whenever we are away.”

“Amanda was an amazing sitter for our dog Kona and we highly recommend booking with her. She provided us with updates & photos, and even sent Kona home with a new tennis ball as a treat! We could tell our dog was well cared for during our time away. Thank you!”

“Elizabeth and Neil are top notch. If you are looking for a pet sitter look no further. They are kind, caring and they go the extra mile. They send updates with pics quite often and make you feel at ease. I wholeheartedly believe that my dog Zoey thinks this is her second home. She makes herself right at home and snuggles up with them on the couch and she could not look any closer more content. It was my lucky day when I found Elizabeth and Neil. I look forward to working with them for years to come.”

“Jennifer is absolutely wonderful! She took such great care of my dog, Saint, while my kids and I were away on vacation. We didn’t want to board him for a week, and from the moment I reached out, Jennifer was kind, responsive, and incredibly easy to work with. If you’re considering booking with her, don’t hesitate—you and your pet will be in the best hands. We loved our photo and text updates, and it gave us so much peace of mind knowing Saint was being cared for like one of the family. Thank you, Jennifer, for taking such amazing care of our boy!”

“Such a phenomenal first experience with Caty! Will definitely be booking with her again. She was super communicative and helpful. She would send me pictures and videos of Honey Bee everyday while on my vacation with small updates which i loved, it helped me feel close to her while i was far away. She treated my dog like her own and im so greatful for her care of my dog! Honey Bee also loved her and felt right at home with Caty and her family.”

“David took great care of our dog and our dog enjoyed her time at his place. It was a great holiday staycation for our dog. David is an excellent care taker and we never had to worry about our dog. He sent us regular updates with pictures and videos. We are so grateful to David for taking such a good care of our dog. I would highly recommend him for dog sitting, walking and dog boarding.”

“It seemed like our dog had a great time with Jane and we loved getting the daily picture updates and notes about what they did each day! Will definitely book with Jane again!”

“We had Jessica care for our Murphy during our family vacation. It was the first time we left him with someone other than family. We did a quick meet and greet before booking, we instantly felt comfortable. Jessica sent pictures and updates throughout the week so we knew how he was doing. We will definitely reach out to Jessica again when we need someone to care for Murphy!”

Ranjith and Divya were so good with our dog, Totoro! They took great care of him and were very responsive. I got daily updates with photos and his day, really felt like he was in the best hands! They were also very considerate about pickup during bad weather and made sure Totoro was well taken care of and got along really well with their dog as well! Totoro was very happy and tired after his stay with them and I would definitely love to work with Ranjith and Divya again!

So glad we found Alisha! We have a senior dog who doesn’t do much but needs a caring human while we are away. Alisha has a wonderful backyard set up where our Pekingese Ernie relaxed and explored. I loved all the updates on his little vacation and thankful for the peace of mind quality care that Alisha provided. Will book again!

David and his wife are the best! We were out of town for 3 weeks to attend our son’s graduation and to help him move. We were not worrying about how Juni was because we knew she was in great care of David. He spoiled her like his own dog. She even has her favorite spot on their sofa. We enjoyed his photos & videos update of Juni. Thank you, David!

This was the very first time Bella and I used a pet sitter, and Katie and Liam absolutely exceeded our expectations. They took amazing care of my sassy little Chihuahua, Bella, who typically struggles with new people—especially men—but she loved Liam and got comfortable in their home surprisingly quickly. I received several photos of Bella looking relaxed, cozy, and clearly getting plenty of love and attention, which gave me such peace of mind. It was obvious she felt safe and happy with them. I would highly recommend Katie and Liam to anyone looking for a pet sitter, and I’ve already shared their name with a few of my fellow pet-parent friends. I now feel completely at ease knowing I’ve found a true gem in Katie and Liam. Thank you again for taking such wonderful care of my Bella—and for the yummy cookies you sent her home with (for me 😉).

A Meet & Greet is a short introductory meeting between you, your pet, and a sitter. It can take place in person or virtually, although we recommend in-person so that your pet can get to know your sitter or the new environment. During the Meet & Greet, you will have a chance to walk through your pet's routine, medical needs, and unique quirks. Take the time to ask your sitter questions about their skills and expertise, and make sure the fit feels right for everyone. Most pet parents and sitters on Rover welcome Meet & Greets because the process can give confidence and peace of mind for service experiences, especially for longer stays or first-time bookings.
Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.
Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .
While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.
Many sitters in MA ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies. Cats may be required to have Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Rabies up to date.
By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.
Emergency support is available by phone or email in English 24/7. When an incident occurs, we recommend that sitters contact our Trust & Safety team immediately so that they can connect your sitter with a board-certified veterinarian or offer other resources to help.
If a sitter needs to cancel at the last minute, Rover’s reservation protection means our team will work with you to find a suitable replacement as quickly as possible.
